confirmed, yoona went to china today to start filming
Leeteuk & YoonA cameo in HOLOGRAM MUSICAL “School
â€Infos regarding Yoong's drama~
She has already arrived in china and also did some costume fitting~ Filming will begin tomorrow^^
You can get more updates @ Mystarmyangel
Thank you all for your answers. I can't believe she is starring in a drama about Zhao Yun - he is my favorite Chinese historical figure. It's just meant to be

The casts look pretty good and it'll be shown on Hunan TV, which is a major boardcasting network for Chinese dramas. Hopefully it'll be a grand debut to Yoona's individual activity in China.

I have not been able to keep up with SNSD updates lately but I just saw someone said Yoona is going to star in a chinese historical drama. Can anyone fill me in on that ? Is it confirmed or what is it about ??

Yes. Farewell concert please..or any public appearance of OT9 together.
I feel better now compared to the last few days but i don't think i'm in that 100%-ok kind of state.
SNSD needs closure. The fans need closure. and i think the only way we could all 100% move on from this is when we see all 9 of them together again on stage and just say their goodbyes.
i know with the situation right now all of that above sounds kinda impossible but i'm still slightly hoping that some miracle will happen for the Tokyo dome concert and Jessi will be there and perform even just 1 song (ITNW)

We all need to say our goodbye to Jess. to OT9 to fully welcome OT8 and CEO Jessi.
That would be one hell of an awkward and fake soapy concert. SNSD fans don't need closure right now, they just need to decide what will they do with SNSD & Jessica from now on.

Unless it came directly from Jessica mouth I won't believe that she was leaving. She signed a 3 year contract so that's an iddication that she wasn't planning too leave any time soon. What SM / snsd did was pretty shitty. I think that their was serious lack off communication between the members, because it shouldn't have gone this far.
She doesn't want to officially leave the group but if she decided to go to the US to study and get married, that temporary leave would be as good as a permanent one. Look at Kim Ki Bum, he never officially annouced his departure from Super Junior but do you see working with the group at all ?
And you think they would kick a member out and risk the reputation and the future of the group that they have spent years building up due to lack of communication or emotional rush ? Even if SNSD wants to kick Jessica out, you think the rational/unemotional SM management will let them do that without careful consideration ? Jessica must have done something so severly that it pissed both SM and SNSD off to the point that they had no choice but to kick her out immediately and it's definitely not because of the lack of communication.

To be honest with you, I think as a leader she should say something representing the others, or at least try to get an angreement for both. Being a leader is an important role but the girls only remain quiet which doesn't help at all!
I won't blame taeyeon but I do think she should step up and take action since a leader is supposed to guide the whole group in issues like this right?
Taeyeon isn't exactly the typical leader that was chosen/elected by the group. She was chosen merely because she is the oldest and it's well-known that she had asked to step down as the leader in the past because she didn't think she could do a good job.
I think it's unfair to ask of her to step up and say something when I think the best strategy for OT8 to do right now is to keep silent. People all want the truth or at least, hear the explanation from OT8 but I don't think they have meticulously calculated the effect of it. If the explanation revealed more negative aspects of Jessica, which is highly probable given the circumstances, it would be viewed by many Jessica-stans as the ultimate betrayal. Thus, causing more shots to be fired from both sides.
The damage has been done, there is no going back, so just be patient if you want to hear the explanation from their side although I believe it won't be anything but negative about Jessica.

It really amazes me when not too long ago, Taeyeon was the most beloved member among fans and now she is the punching bag for all OT9 fans to vent their frustration.
Come on now, people. What the hell did she do ??

^ Again, she DID NOT say ALL 8 in her statement, she used "the members". I agreed that those 4 wouldn't want to have her out but the others....
^^ it goes both ways, Why are you only point finger at those who dragged the other 8 but not those who dragged Jessica? No one know the whole story here here. I personally believe what Jessica said is true but that was the ending part of the story, while OT8 is holding the beginning of the story.
The problem is her "official statement" literally threw ALL the members under the bus. She had a chance to express her side of the story but she conveniently left out some key details like her study plan, her marriage and the fact that she demanded to leave SNSD more than once (all of them are facts that have been rumored among all the insiders for a while now, it's not like they were made up overnight).

So happy to see you posting tan (:
I have been pretty negligent with the recent news of the group lately but this news is too big to stay out of

Though I'm surprised that I'm much calmer with this news than I thought, probably because I never expected SNSD to continue for this long. I can somewhat sympathized with Jessica because I also just changed my career path but this news really saddened my day.
-
No,
She wrote, "I was excited about our upcoming fan events only to shockingly be informed by my company and 8 others that as of today, I'm no longer a member. I'm devastated - my priority and love is to serve as a member of GG, but for no justifiable reason, I am being forced out," which is alarming fans.
Of course, she would want to stay as a member of SNSD...there is no logical reason for her to leave the group. Staying as a member of the #1 girlgroup while making her own money and having her own career is a heavely perfect scenario for her. At least. SM gives us fans a clear answer for Jessica's exit instead of making the fans helplessly yearning for someone who never comeback like how they reacted with Kim Kibum's.
This exit might be too sudden but all the indications have been there for a while with Blanc, her relationship, etc. I don't blame Jessica for leaving; in fact, I'm glad that she has found her path. It's just unfortunate that it could not coexist with her life as a member of SNSD.

Dortmund vs Schalke beats both
Dortmund without Reus ??? Nah, I'll pass :hurr:

I just happened to have Costa as my captain this week when Daniel Sturidgge was out with an injury...Lucky me
I'm happy for Kagawa though, Dortmund seems like the place that he could thrive :)

I don't think so... Sunye in Wonder Girl was bashed, if I remember well, after she said she will do her things in Haiti and was pregnant... She was congratulated for her marriage.
Maybe the society is changing, and I have the impression being married won't change something. The end of career seems to be if the girl is pregnant or not... (the reason why companies are taking actions against these rumors).
edit : I'm positive that at this moment many rumors are spread and meant nothing... People are riding on the insecurities and angers shown... For me SNSD won't have major problem after this news. It was expected that some Taeyeon's fans will overeact about this news. Some of her fans in Korea are known to be delulu with crazy behavior and butthurtness. They are just using a false excuse to defend their shitty attacks against her, even without her secret codes with her boyfriend, she would still receive hatred by some of her fans (I'm quasi sure of that)...
It's not about the negative response since no sane person would have bash a marriage unless that person is an asshole through and through, it's about the image. Think about it, a management company could not careless about how nice the girls are if they don't bring in money, so they would not want to take a risk of putting resources into promoting a group with married members since the marketing power has been severly reduced. There are always younger and more beautiful groups coming out and even if SNSD has been a smashing success, they can't escape the cycle of business. It's a very pessimistic point of view, but I think it's not far from reality, so fans like us should at least have a sense of the future if the rumor turns out to be true.
-
But last year, they said in a show, that if one of them is getting married, they will never disbanded. they will still continue to promote as SnSd. Please, I hope no one is leaving...

Let's get real. Being married is effectively the end of an idol's career. The only Korean celebrities that are still successful after marriage are the actors who have established themselves long before it. SNSD doesn't belong to that category and especially for a girl group, the drop-off in popularity after marriage is much more significant than a boy group. Thefore, even if they really want to stay and promote as a group, it's not gonna be easy, if not, impossible.
-
I really doubt Sooyoung, or any member for that matter will leave. More likely take a break.
If she decided to get married, a temporary leave is the same as a permanent one....
Now the girls are entering the phrase where they have different priorities in life (marry, career paths, etc.) and SNSD is possibly no longer their unanimous #1 priority anymore, which is completely normal given how many years they have worked. I'm sure many fans have thought about this before but these rumors coming at such a bad time just makes people confuse and scare even more than they should.

What about the Korean fans who are right next to Taeyeon, who have met her and spoke to her many times, and who Taeyeon know about???
Can they feel abused or betrayed?
You see, many international fans in this thread have unilateraly decided that those Korean fans close to Taeyeon are not entitled to feel betrayed.
THAT is what I'm angry about.
I'm not flipping out about how I feel betrayed. But the actions of cultlike international followers are frankly unacceptable.
(and I'm disappointed in Taeyeon for puting herself in this situation)
Again: not at all.
Taeyeon's story is a step back. She's behaved like an immature kid who can't take responsibility and be professional as a grown up non-idol artist. She very much stands out as still being an idol that needs her company to dictate and sort everything for her.
That is the problem I have. Her actions are letting down SNSD's development.
Sometimes you should just let yourself be more...idk, emotional and sensitive because even though your logic could be rational, it doesn't really apply in a idol-fan relationship.
Of course, any dating scandal will affect a group's development/popularity but ocacasionally it's not a priority.

The biggest problem now though, isn't the breaking of the Virgin Mary image. K-sones can be plenty happy and supportive of members being in relationships. So apologizing for that, which personally I don't think is necessary, but more importantly, won't solve the issue. The problem is that she used a platform that was meant for communication with her fans to communicate secretly with her boyfriend. It's not the fact that she has a boyfriend that is causing the feeling of betrayal. As dumb as this sounds to us who didn't take her words as a literal promise, it still did some serious damage to Taeyeon's relationship with those of her fans that did take her literally. In regards to this, I think she should show some sort of reflection or apology to show them that she doesn't take her fans' feelings lightly.
That was what I said
, He/she was talking about why idols need to apologize, so I just answer a general question with a general respond. I completely agree with everything you said though. I'm just saying that in advance something bad might happened soon. I'm not a very high status person here, I just hope there's a peace in this thread. I just don't want many users feeling uncomfortable seeing the bad comment about the girl esp to new user. We don't want them to think that this thread only used for bad-talking soshi member right ? But if they do have logical reason, please post something that didn't use any rude word and we will always open for discussion.
[For bold part] We're not in position to judging anything. We don't exactly know if those post really directed to Baekhyun or not. We're not her close person. We don't know what's the reason behind her post. And one thing, problem arise because some fans's conclusion about those things. So I can't say it's a fact when we don't know anything about the posts. What will we do if those post really not directed to Baekhyun ? Nothing cause some of them already hurting her. All she need just a support from her fans but it broken. In the end, both party are the one who hurt each other.
And I agree with you, it's not something that make the fans to turn their back against her but they already did that. I just hope fandom will calm down and stopped talking about this issue (which might be hard) and continued to anticipating further release from the girls.
Edit : see what I say ? this happen right ? I don't want a post like this in the thread
I don't see what status has to do with keeping the general rules in the thread. It's perfectly fine to have the urge to keep peace during chaotic times like this. I just don't want people to have the wrong idea of allowed topics in this thread. That's all.
To be frank, it's very hard to refute all the hidden/secret message and the damage is already done and like you said both parties are hurt, so there is no need to drag it further. Taeyeon apologized, the fans should try to understand her and those who don't, they leave her fandom.
Taeyeon's reputation definitely takes a hit here, the degree is still unknown, and it's unfortunate that the whole thing escalates to something like this.
-
This, seriously, is what I don't get at all. Even Sooyoung did it. Why do they have to apologize for something that isn't wrong is beyond me and why would fans ask and then dismiss their apologies is something I could not even start grasping.
That's why I said the reason seems asinine but I could actually symphathize with K-Sones in a way.
The Kpop idol industry relies on marketing more than anything else. There are many pretty idols who are very talented but you don't see them as popular as others, because they are not marketed well. The fundamental of most marketing strategies are the flawless idol, who acts like a Virgin Mary. This was how SNSD were and are still marketed as till this day. So, datings aren't normally perceived as good faith because of the marketing. Look at the Japanese idols for example. AKB 48 has their no-dating rule because their career could be destroyed if they has a dating scandal, especially for girls. They still get the checks, but the number certainly won't have as much zeros.
Therefore, it's best for them to apologize because they kind of "break" the marketing image, other than that, I see no reason for her to apologize.-

After all, I'm so dissapointed with what happened right now. Not because BaekYeon dating, I'm happy for them, but dissapointed much because those fans who always say "even though soshi will disband one day, we will always be SONE forever in our life" are turning their back on soshi. I never rant this much before and if some of you feel offended by this post, please just ignore it. And once again I said, this thread called "The Official Girls' Generation Thread" and it's not a thread where you can bad-talk about the girls. Please if you want to say something bad about the girls, please go to bashing thread or make a thread of your own to talk about that. This thread was made for appreaciating everything about the girls, the place for SONE to freely spazzing for the girls and the place where we can have nice discussion about the girls. Thanks.
This is not soshified. Anyone can say whatever they want about the girls as long as they have some logical reasoning to back it up.
Though it seems like a lot of people still don't get why Taeyeon gets all the hates from her own fans while the other 4 members generally received support from K-Sones. The reason might seem asinine but it's how the Kpop idol industry has been working. Idols/Companies make money off their fans due to the marketed images of being flawless, so some people are overreacting because of their illusion. However, some older fans are angered because of the thought that Taeyeon used SNS to display her love for her boyfriend. She should have known better that she was playing with fire there but she didn't. No matter what anyone says about only a small fraction of her posts are allegedly dedicated to her boyfriend (this is a fact!) but it's still a very dumb thing to do.
After all, I hope the blacklash will die down quickly as this matter shouldn't be something that make the fans to turn their backs against her. Also, TTS is coming back soon, and it'll be tough to have a proper & enjoyable promotion when Taeyeon would have to apologize and talk about this topic all the freaking time.

Not agreeing =/= not understanding.
The issue isn't THAT complicated. It's pretty obvious by now that the fans who are offended feel like they were misled due to 1. Taeyeon was always emphasizing the fact that her IG was "for her fans" 2. pretending as if certain pictures were for her fans when, in fact, they aren't. Combined with the fact that K-SONEs put so much time and effort into making sure the girls are doing well with a lot of support, the betrayal feelings arise.
However, it's a sense of entitlement of which I have not quite seen. Do you know how you pay back an artist for the fan service and love they show you? You buy their album. That's all. That's your only obligation as a fan. Buy their album. Buy their ticket. Everything else is your choice and above and beyond the expectation of a fan. She also has no obligations beyond performing for you and making you happy with her voice.
What I am alarmed about is the about face of these "fans". How quickly they slam her. How quickly they turn their backs on her. If you truly "love" her, wouldn't you be understanding? Wouldn't you put behind your initial frustration and support her? This isn't love. It's exactly the betrayal that they are slamming Taeyeon for. It makes me wonder if I want to be in this fandom anymore. Not because of Taeyeon or Baekhyun. Because of those fans. I am ashamed.
That's the problem with the Korean entertainment. Idols make money off the fans with the illusion of being the one and only for them, so when that illusion is dispelled, the backlash would be humongous, think about it like a love relationship. The fans put money, time, effort into it and the idol reciprocate by doing her tasks & when the one side break the agreement, then the reaction is understandable.
Honestly, I have always hoped that 2014 would be the last year the girls stay together, and I've been feeling that way since 2009-2010. It seems like they have different paths now, and with all the backlash from their datings, I would rather see them disband than witness their downfall like this.

can the CSI sones tell me what earbuds she usin'?
Not sure if anyone answered you but I think it's the Bang & Olufsen H3. I'm not sure though.

Gosh why do people always feel so defensive. This is not complaining, I'm just pointing out a fact that is bothering me when I lurk this thread in order to find news regarding their comeback, activites etc.
Do you really think I don't feel grateful that those people actually take a lot of time to post those updates ? I do. Please, I'm not that stupid. I just think some of them don't necessary need to be posted in this thread. Especially when it's the same picture with 50 different angles. Every member has its own thread, it would be better to post individual pictures there imo.
Your previous post was ambiguous , so people like FrazerNg are not wrong to feel defensive over it.
I respect your opinion but the problem with posting pictures to individual thread is because many people don't visit those threads (like me because keeping track with this thread is hard enough), so posting in general thread seems to be a better option. Therefore, like some user suggested, you should just put Veda on ignore list.
P.S.: Keep up the good work Veda ^^

♥ Right Now, Tomorrow, Forever, 소녀시대 ♥ The Official Girls' Generation (SNSD) Thread
in Groups
Posted · Edited by tan
I am sorry, it's been a long time since I visited any SNSD thread, so I would really appreciate it if people could fill me in on any recent or new SNSD activity this year. From what I skimmed through, it seems like they will have a reality show soon ?
