  1. For Luna, It's weird because the SM It Live twitter account posted about the collab, but not the SMTown global one O.o

And yeah, I meant the insta. It's weird for them to add her video as an instastory twice, but not post it to the page, unless the second upload was supposed to be to the page and they just don't know how have followthrough rolleyes.gif

Nothing really comes to mind except poor handling. Also, maybe they think it's out of their job role like the promoting stuff should be to jype.

I think f(x) ig is just for formalities lmao

  2.

I don't know if you can find it on Youtube but try googling it. Pretty sure you'll find the stage uploaded somewhere else.

Also yes during acchan's grad con bacchikoi was first then UhHo

thanks! I've been looking for the wrong stage all this while! 😂

  3.

I know that this have been posted already, but I really can't get over Mariko's acting here. It was so sad and heart breaking. I feel like I'm having withdrawals.

Edit: anyway, do anyone know if you can still watch Team K6 Reset on youtube? Was it deleted or just private? I actually wanna watch Uhho uhhoho and bacchikoi K again lol

Edit: wait... Was the perf bacchikoi k followed by uhhoho uhhoho during Acchan's grad con? Wow, I can't remember...

  4. I’m still curious why White Noise was only posted n the official f(x) instastory and not on the page... and will the SMTown global account post about this collab or...

I don't think there was any particular reason aside from poor management. The one who runs the f(x) ig is definitely a lazy bum. I mean with all the photoshoots, projects they did. All that content then nothing?

As for Luna, they most likely won't since the collab was initiated by jype. Luna could have all the singing parts and SM won't post it just like It was love. I just realized... You mean for the ig account right? I was typing with the yt acct in my mind for Luna lol 😂 Although, I think it can be applied. I lost all trust and hope with sm regarding f(x) lol

  5. Seulgi's hair looks exactly as it did in ICC...apart from the bangs I guess. Idk why everyone hates it I guess the dye is messy since we see her roots but other than I think it's fine. But I do agree that she suits bangless blonde. Excited for a new comeback wonder what they are gonna pull out the bag this time

because it looks fake. The mind feels bothered that it's somewhere real, but looks fake.

  6. If you wanna know why some fans are okay with Mion being soukantoku or why she wants to even be soukantoku in the first place, the explanation below is worth reading. I put it under spoilers since it's pretty long.

Pay closer to attention to Mion and you'll know that she's been putting more of an effort to become a good leader figure in AKB. Even if she isn’t the best choice to be GM right now, she could be suited to be GM or a team captain in the future.

She's interacting a lot more with her juniors during and outside of work and juniors often say Mion is a reliable and kind senior. She is also a very observant person and enjoys watching her members from a fan perspective, complimenting them and sharing her positive impressions or stories of other members on Showroom, mobame, etc. Being observant is a great quality to have, especially as a leader, because it shows that Mion genuinely cares about her members.

Mion is already good at being a facilitator. For example, when a fan interrupted a Team A stage, Mion was the first member to react and clear up the confusion the fan caused while the other members, including Yuihan, reacted too slow or stood there unsure of what to do. Japanese wota praised Mion for being the first to react.

During Team A’s shonichi, Rinrin admitted she feels pressured being captain, so Mion tried to comfort her and encouraged Rinrin to rely on her sometimes. Maybe she's been helping Rinrin out as team captain backstage. Even if Rinrin isn't seeking helping from Mion, the fact that Mion was willing to help shows that other members can rely on her if needed.

Mion also has experience leading MCs and is getting more opportunities to say ending speeches at AKB concerts/events like at last year's Thanksgiving Conert and this year's Adult Ceremony Concert. For years, Japanese wota have been complimenting Mion for her public speaking abilities while Yuihan is criticized for it. So Mion already excels in something that the current GM has trouble with.

Because fans only know or read about 1% of what happens off camera, it’s unfair to say Mion doesn’t act like a leader. Recently, she’s been leading group huddles and guides the members during rehearsals when Yuihan isn't around for events like at national handshakes. Maybe Mion is getting other opportunities to help improve and show her leadership skills but fans don’t know about it. The only reason why fans found out about Mion leading group huddles is because Naachan tweeted about it. Then Mion later gave an explanation on her mobame.

Most of the 48g fans who do doubt Mion’s ability to be a leader don’t seem to know her very well and that is why they have trouble seeing her as a leader type. But many fans who actually pay close attention to Mion have been saying for years that she has the personality to be a leader. A majority of her fans weren’t even surprised when she said wants to be GM because that’s just the type of person she is, she wants to help guide and take care of others. Her fans already know that she’s unselfish, loves AKB so much and is constantly putting the group before herself. Many members have also said the same things about Mion including Komiharu and Seichan, the two members who know her the best. Since about 2014-15, Mion expressed several times that one of her goals is to become someone who can help pull the group. She wants to help AKB enter another golden era, rely less on sister groups, win another Japan Record Award, go on another national tour, have another Tokyo Dome concert so that the members who joined after 2014 can experience performing there too. Those are all goals for the group that she has previously expressed, so she clearly doesn’t just think about herself and her own goals.

For Mion, becoming GM isn’t some kind of quest for power. She wants to become GM so she can be in a position to help AKB and the 48g move forward and experience great things together. She even described potentially becoming GM as becoming someone who will take care of the 48g. She may not be as commanding as Juri or as serious as Naachan but Mion’s heart is in the right place and she’s only ever shown to have good intentions as an idol. If she were to become GM, she would definitely give it her all and will do what she can because she loves AKB so much and claims that the group is her everything. During her 2016 election speech, she even admitted AKB saved her by becoming her light during a dark period in her life. And one reason why she auditioned for the group was so she could repay AKB for saving her. Becoming GM would be part of Mion’s way of repaying AKB by taking care of the 48g members in the future.

Mion is also a proven hard worker because she actually puts in the time and effort to improve herself (e.g. taking vocal lessons, learning the guitar, working on her MC skills). So if she’s given the chance and puts in the effort to improve her leadership skills, Mion may turn into an excellent leader in the future. Umechan, Lovetan, Uha, Reinyan, Miichan, Sasshi and a few others weren’t seen or pushed as leader types at first but showed that they are capable of being a leader once they were given the chance. It could be a similar situation for Mion. Besides, Yuihan probably won’t graduate for another year or two. That’s plenty of time for Mion to work on her leadership skills and seek mentoring from Yuihan and other senior members. She doesn’t need to have an official leader role to work on her skills.

But members approving Mion is more important than fans approving Mion. Members have a much better idea of what Mion does off camera and whether or not she's capable of being GM because they personally know her and work(ed) with her. Mion sought Yuihan's approval beforehand and wouldn't have announced her desire to be GM in the future if Yuihan didn't approve. But Yuihan did give Mion her approval and recently said that she felt saved by Mion because she was starting to worry that none of the members want to be GM. Takamina, Yukirin, Sasshi and Naachan also expressed their approval of Mion potentially being GM/think she’s suited for the position. And 3 years ago, Noro Kayo interviewed Mion and said she thinks Mion has the kind of personality to be GM. Since Kayo said something like that 3 years ago and Mion already has approval from several of her seniors, then she must be behaving like a leader/showing leader qualities a lot more off camera because she’s leaving positive impressions on members and the people she works with.

I'm admiring Mion on another level rlytearpls.png

  7. Huh, is that online anywhere / any translations? Would be interested in seeing that.

There's a radio interview too with Eng sub floating around Youtube if I remember

Edit: Maybe, you guys can watch this to get an idea why Japanese are more accepting

I'm sure Asian Boss still has one more vid, just can't seem to find it

  8.

For reference, one of the commentators there (Jun Hyunmoo) promised he'd buy all the idols in ISAC chicken if any of them hit the camera in archery laugh.png

So of course Irene hits it and she doesn't even eat chicken 0u0plz.png

lmao I assumed it was Irene who bought chicken 😂 I was like wow I didn't know Irene was this generous and a food that she doesn't eat 😂
  9. People are complaining because this lineup is far from fair or balanced in any way.

Fans are fine with some changes between singles because it's only fair that new members get the chance in senbatsu, and it mixes things up. But there are still some things the lineup should have.

    AKB Senbatsu requirements:

    1. Mostly AKB members

    2. Includes top members

    3. Somewhat balanced between sister groups

    4. Can include promising/rising members (like Yuiyui in this case)

    5. Can include members who "deserve" a spot (like veteran members who've never made it before, or graduating popular members)

The main issues with this single are Tomu not making it and the poor NMB representation (I might be a bit biased but it seems to be pretty generally agreed on).

Tomu is a top AKB member (infact the third highest-ranking AKB member) which makes her snub incomprehensible. Apart from that she also meets criteria 5 because she's been ignored many times before, so it's even more frustrating. A member missing one senbatsu isn't a big deal, but this one is terrible all things considered.

NMB only being represented by Miru is another big issue. HKT has 4 members, SKE 2 and NGT 2. NMB is the second most popular sister group (after SKE) so it they shouldn't be represented by just one member, especially since they need the representation now that Sayanee is graduating. Akarin or Ota Yuuri really should be there, or maybe Saeppi since she was on Produce.
