I just read this wonderful comment from AKP (i didn't know there were still good and reasonable people in this site) : "I can understand some folk's concerns over this buyout of Starship, but here are some reasons that this might work out well for Starship's acts. 1) Loen is a pretty well run company with several very successful groups and soloists under their umbrella either directly or as a distributor. 2) The fact that Loen wants to buy Starship outright says that they are very committed to continuing the success (Profitability) of those artists that were under Starship. 3) Loen puts out very high quality videos for their artists and will be very likely to do so with Starship's artists. I don't foresee any drop off in quality regarding investing in the best visuals. 4) Sistar fits a niche within Loen's roster that Loen currently does not possess. Sistar's style doesn't really overlap with any group that Loen currently manages. Fiestar is different from Sistar stylistically and both can co-exist there much as f(x) and SNSD both co-exist at SM. Loen is very likely to leave Sistar unchanged creatively. Sistar is where they are, because they have found their niche and exploit it well. Any good businessman is not going to tinker with that. 5) K.Will fits well as Loen doesn't have a male soloist under them directly. Boyfriend too looks to be a good fit as Loen just brought out their first boy band this year and could use a more established one that already has overseas experience. 6) Since this is an outright purchase it is very likely that much of the creative staff at Starship that creates the choreography, works with composers, manages the groups, etc. is going to be coming over if they want to. Loen isn't likely to just be targeting Starship's acts, but also the folks behind the scenes that have helped make their acts so successful as maybe they can help make Loen's acts even more successful. 7) Sistar has grown about as big as they can get in the Korean market. The next challenge for them is expanding internationally. That's expensive for a small company as you either have to surrender a lot of control and revenue to an overseas company to handle that for you, or you have to hire people in that country to do that for you. Loen is a much bigger company that can better afford the capital investments necessary to expand Starship's acts overseas. 8) Loen has a good track record of getting their biggest star, IU, plenty of outside work. Outside work is a big part of the profitability for an agency since they get a sizable cut of that money, so they are going to continue to want to capitalize on getting Dasom acting gigs, Bora variety gigs, Hyorin solo albums, and Soyu the opportunity to do even more potential collaborations with a larger roster of acts. In some ways, it is likely a factor in wanting to buy Starship that the members of Sistar bring in revenue beyond just their group's music and that Starship has been successful at getting them such work. In closing this does not sound like a hostile takeover. Starship is privately owned, so it is up to the owner as to whether he sells. He may not have solicited an offer, but it doesn't sound like this offer was unwelcome. In some ways he may be helping his roster by doing this now. There is a very good chance if it wasn't Loen some other bigger company would have come around with a good offer like YG or SM even. The industry is in a period of consolidation now as the reality of true international expansion and competition begins to become important to the big companies as the Korean market is not going to get much bigger as the population isn't expanding much. To grow you have to find new customers in Japan, Singapore, China, Europe, the US, etc., but that all takes money that small companies can't generally get their hands on as they aren't big enough to guarantee the loans or don't have a long enough track record to be able to have a successful IPO. I would urge people to keep an open mind as this seems like a good business move for both sides." cr: Kentv After reading this, I can accept this situation with more serenity. Well, I don't think so personally. Ballad songs are more popular with Koreans but some knetz said they want Hyolyn to do a dance-track release. So I guess, it will please everyone in the end : the ones who want Hyolyn to do something different from Sistar's sexy style (aka Lonely) and the others who want her to stick to the sexy concept. (aka One Way Love) But I guess in the end, some people will still complain for x reason.

So precious I can't I want her clothes, her body, her hairstyle, her background, her face, everything And above all her album ! I just thought about something : what if LOEN bought Starship not only for their artists but for their staff too ? I bet they will hire the same persons who were under Starship since with their great skills they made K.Will and Sistar relevant in SK and Boyfriend somehow relevant in Japan ? I really hope they will hire all the staff of Starship and also continue to hire DQ team since they did a great job with Sistar's choreos too.

I think LOEN isn't as stupid as his excuses are (visiting the sick, seriously ?). So I think they will not change Sistar's style. The part which worry me is the international advancement. I really hope they won't send them to Japan. Positive things : we will have great music videos, great music. Negative things : constant stress, possibility LOEN destroy everything with bad decisions Anyway, I understand the decision of KSD. Idols' market is declining, so is the Hallyu. So he prefer sell everything before losing everything. SISTAR WON TWO AWARDS ! YASSS ! A big slap for the haterz who were saying they won't be able to win anything with 2ne1 and SNSD next to them.

Nami and co went to Zou I'm really afraid, it's the first time SH parted like that. Anyway, this arc will be really epic. I can't stop thinking how awesome it will be when the shit will start. CP0, the battle for the mera mera, Law, DD, Kaidou, Fujitora + the Marines and the alliance of Kidd, the dwarves, Apoo & Hawkins. So many characters and subplots. If at first this arc looked like Alabasta, I'm now sure it's only concern a subplot (the dwarves') so I'm happy. I look forward this arc and Law's past.

Great things are coming this month ! Besides, SISTAR are nominated to the Style Icon Awards. What will be perfect is that KSD manage to get Soyu into Immortal Song 2.

KBS 1TV's upcoming drama 'Love Through Song' recently cast Dasom and Kim Hyung Jun as the main leads. Now added to the list is 5dolls' Seunghee, who will be playing Song Deul Im's (Dasom) older sister and attorney Song Soo Im.
