[soompi] Song Mino’s Upcoming MV Was So Racy Before Final Editing That It Made Yang Hyun Suk Laugh

 

 

With less than a couple hours left until the release of WINNER member Song Mino’s solo debut track “BODY,†news outlet Star News has reported that the song’s music video had to be edited to make it a bit less racy.

 

A high-ranking staff member at YG Entertainment told Star News on September 7, “Song Mino’s music video for ‘BODY’ was filmed twice. The results of the first completed video were not satisfactory, so the 100 percent completed video was discarded and it was filmed again.â€

 

They go on to share, “Before the music video for ‘BODY’ was filmed again, Yang Hyun Suk told Song Mino and the crew, ‘The song itself is very sexy, but that didn’t come out properly in the first filming, so this time it would be good if it was filmed in a more sexy way.'â€

 

“However, that time, Song Mino went overboard with the sexiness and the music video was too racy, to the point that it made Yang Hyun Suk laugh,†they add.

 

Song Mino’s track “BODY†will be released on September 8 at midnight KST. The version that is set to be released at midnight will be an edited version, and the representative says there are plans to release the “original director’s cut†as an R-rated version later on.

I still can't get over my hype right now.... Now, all YG needs to do is release exit:x bcoz I miss my boys!!! After watching mino, all my repressed feelings towards their hiatus(again, like for the nth time), I realize how i really do miss their voices.

I just love the song, the mv itself and of course Song Freaking Wet Mino!!!

I wish this discussion about skin color would just stop. Because it is a never ending topic. It's not the first and it will never be the last time it will be brought out.

If I may say so, it might be healthy for everyone here to engage with the others but to point out this and that and make comparison that drags other members is quite... wrong.

I think the key word here is open-mindedness and understand.

Some already pointed out their opinions and while others might not agree, I just wish that after reading others' opinion, they would just be open-minded about it and just move-on. Understand that we all came from different backgrounds, different country, different race and culture so we all are gonna have different outlook and views on things.

To put it simply, put yourself in the other's shoe. 

I think YG really needs to release something from Winner because we can't talk about anything else...

I meant stupid in the "you want a solo but what you're doing isn't going to help you get one at all" way, I thought it was clear wasn't talking about his position as a leader. 

Everyone in BB who isn't GD had to fight to release their solos and some didn't even get the chance (ie: Daesung still doesn't have his solo korean album) and Seungyoon clearly said he wants to release his own songs so that's what I meant... especially when both Mino and Taehyun have now released more songs as solos than Seungyoon (and more recently too). He's heading straight to the Daesung route if he waits too much. The ideal plan would have been for each member to get a solo song in each mini (E = Taehyun, X = Mino, I = Seungyoon, T = Jinwoo or Seunghoon but idk if they are interested in solos), unfortunately we all know that ideal plans in YG are just ideal... 

and getting a solo =/= not prioritzing Winner

 

 

Seungyoon was originally signed as a solo artist, he had to wait for 3 years to get a half assed solo (started well with It Rains but went bad with Wild&Young, idk why they involved Teddy in this and why YG didn't promote him at all).

The dynamic in Winner clearly isn't the same as in 2NE1 or BB but like I said just above if he wants a solo he's going to have to fight for it... Seungri, Daesung, even Taeyang had to fight to release solo songs. That's basically all I was saying. 

About the solo fans (i have no idea what the word is, didn't think there was even one for that tbh): I think the only non-fans that would potentially be interested in his solo would be older people since he still has a rather good public recognition, and I don't think that would lead to any hate whatsoever since they would be more casual listeners than anything and clearly not in the age group to start fanwars or w/e. 

 

 

 

Yes I am, check the pages of this thread between the end of WIN who's next and Winner's debut, I guess you will easily find my username around that time (or just look at my old post history or something on my profile). Just because I don't participate that much anymore (I don't have time, I have a more-than-full-time job) doesn't mean I'm some sort of hater or anything, you know 

 

 

I don't think I'm trashing Winner or Seungyoon (especially when you all know I'm not a hater and that my bias is Seungyoon and especially you since you were around from the beginning), no where did I say anything remotely bad about either of them. 

and you clearly didn't read anything of what I said (or were already too mad to even process it) but that's exactly what I was saying: he will have to push it extremely hard if he ever wants to get a solo, just like everyone else who isn't GD had to (Taeyang, Seungri etc)... check the rest of my answers above for more explanation if you want. 

 

I actually see Mino getting a solo, yes it could just be some media play but YG always seemed to think Mino had the potential for it. The timing isn't the best and it should've happened right after SMTM but that's YG so there's no surprise here... 

 

You really think XIT will get released at the end of the year? if anything maybe X (they covered their asses by not announcing any dates, that was rather 'clever'...) but I still doubt it will happen and I hope I'm wrong but there's the new girl group, BB's MADE and Ikon planned for the rest of the year... considering how slow YG is when it comes to releasing material, 5 months seems really short to get all of that done already, let alone other acts...

I remember reading somewhere that mino said aside from composing for the group, he composes a lot of solo materials so when the time comes, "he has bullets" ready to dislodge or something along those lines... I think it was in a magazine interview that namsong were featured... 

imo... if YG don't want to release Exit:X I & T, atleast we can get new songs from the members rather nothing at all...

and I think "The Collaboration" will be very beneficial for Seungyoon. Especially if they are to compose with their partner. With this, hopefully YG gets to recognized SEungyoon's ability to compose and give him another solo...

EDIT: I don't think YG would allow Seungyoon to be part of The Collaboration if he doesn't believe in his talent. After all, the name YG is on the line.

I gave up long time ago, I can not be more disillusioned with Yang Hyun Suk and I'm to old for this drama of teenagers I'm just here for the music from our boys either in group or soloist.

I really want Exit:X but if we think in this moment isn't a good idea, Hoon is injured and he couldn't promote with the smile that represents him.

Hello everyone! I've been a lurker for a few months now...   Ever since I discovered this OH thread, I always come here to read any news about Winner. Finally I've decided to make an account and introduce myself and have new friends I can share my love for winner with. But sadly, I've come at a pretty bad timing (with mino & bobby solos)... I hope having a new member will somehow brighten your already gloomy day even just a tiny bit...   Anyhoo... I've been a Ygstan starting with BB since 2008 (I'm old...I know... ) then went on and support every artists since then. When Who is Next was basically starting out, I fall for team A immediately. i guess the reason why is because they have individuality (which was why I love dbsk, BB and 2ne1). You will never mistake one member for another...I don't know why but right off the bat, from that first episode of win, my eyes always gravitate towards mino whenever he was shown on screen and he eventually became my bias.  And then as the program progressed, like everyone else, I saw how talented and passionate and humble the boys were...My heart just went with them (and it didn't hurt that I'm familiar with seunghoon beacause of kpopstar and i was one of those who rooted for him and was super delighted when news came out that YG accepted him as a trainee). I freaking streamed win every week! and I cried *an ugly cry* along with hundreds, thousands of fans when they were announced as Winner.. I just love ot5!!!!
