I just realized that I don't see the un-subbed Idol Weekly here. So, here it is. Enjoy. I hope @kuroswan or someone else can put the subbed version here when it becomes available. http://youtu.be/Ji_tWLq_Nhg

DayitaCM posted this on another thread but I will deposit this here. It's also at iu-jjang tmblr http://youtu.be/yklspfdXpgM

I haven't seen a subbed version yet but just watching it is kind of hilarious esp the random dance section. The bet for the random dance is that they (the host) wear the pink shoes (heels, not the slippers) for 4 weeks if IU succeeds. if she fails, she has to take them out to a meal/have a meal together. Can't wait for the 2nd part! I hope someone subs it soon too.

OMG ... I was so busy staring at those gorgeous IU pics that I did not even notice that last pic ..... that last pic is so ... kekekeke .... IU on Weekly Idol was fun to watch. I'd love it if they (IU + hosts of Weekly Idol) did a song together. I'm sure that it would be epic and funny if they worked on a song together. @jraguam very nice

Wooohoooo... the Elle pics are just awesome! I want to have IU on more fashion photo shoots! Here's some pics from IU's Inkigayo performance cr: iu-jjang @akisame, @kuroswan i'm liking it more now that i've gotten used to it. when i first saw the blond iu, i wasn't too sure about it either but i love it now. her look is so versatile!
-
oh yes! that was supposed to be kim botang (pretty man) duriing middle school or high school year. she's pulling the look off really well
-
ok. if she says so but i thought her hair looked good. it's good to change things up once in a while so it's all good. although her new hair style really fits the drama pretty man
-
hahahah ... i did not even notice/think of that. she just looks so good in those pics . l liked all the magazine photos that i've seen so far too. i always like it when they style iu to look gorgeous like this though
-
I was over at PrettyMan drama facebook and I never realized it but IU and Jang Geung Suk are pretty darn compatible visually. Anyways, I'm definitely going to give this drama a try for IU but also for JGS since he was actually in Beethoven Virus

Kpopalyse (sp?) did an awesome job w/ write up. I hope more people read it too http://www.asianjunkie.com/2013/10/no-iu-did-not-plagiarize-nektas-heres-us-for-the-red-shoes-here-why/

@askisame Thank you very much for taking the time to help educate the masses about music over at NB. You were awesome. Not one person could really argue against you! esp since you were stating facts.

Here's an explanation of why it's not plagiarism. It's an interesting read and you get to learn something new from it http://www.asianjunkie.com/2013/10/no-iu-did-not-plagiarize-nektas-heres-us-for-the-red-shoes-here-why/

Yes! This so much! If they are going to accuse of IU of it, they might as accuse a lot of Jazz musicians of plagiarizing too since they're also riffing. Also, if we use that same reasoning, Neckta or whatever that person's name is also "plagiarizing" from Ella Fitzgerald and other swing/jazz/big band
-
It's a common melody in swing jazz. I don't think it's a controversy. - THIS There's another thread for this where Kpopalypse commented as follows (which I agree with) - "Hi music teacher here. Not plagiarism. The melodies aren't even the same. For a plagiarism charge to stick it has to at least be the same melody. Yes the two songs are made in a similar style, and sung with similar vocal phrasing, but that's not enough for a charge to stick. If it was, Black Sabbath could sue every single heavy metal band that ever existed! K-pop media and netizens (both being stupids who know everything about gossip and bullshitting and nothing about music) will probably run with the allegations anyway like the dullards they are, but just know that that they're wrong. I'm qualified to tell you this btw. If you want me to prove it, watch my stream and ask me to show you my music degree." edit: I never thought I'd quote someone from akpop but s/he made a good point so I'll post it "This controversy is because Koreans don't know a lot of stuff. It's like when Korean netizens were up in arms about Masquerade claiming it was like Dave, but that was entirely because they're ignorant of Western literature and that both works were based on Prince and the Pauper. Both songs sound like swing, so guess what? Both sounds sound like swing OMG. The last bit was funny because the netizen turned up the Nekta song really loud so that it drowned out IU's song and noobs think that it sounds similar. I guess you could argue that the CONCEPT of swing was stolen from Nekta or whoever, without any basis, but it's probably more likely that IU just saw Gatsby or something else and liked the look and sound as something new for Korea" Although s/he is generalizing about Korea, I think he got the main points right

Yes, I saw IU on Running Man! It was so cute and funny esp that part where she's like one the first ones to get it and tries to get the mike!
-
I will miss IU's hair but she looks cute with the shorter hair. In any case, her hair will grow back. heh ... IU is just so innately cute even when she's not trying to be. Also, it's good to know that they're still friends
-
I'm happy to see her in drama again too. Although I'm not too sure about the plot and what not, I'll still watch it for her. I will miss IU's long hair. The short hair IU looks so cute and young though
-
I don't know what to feel but I'll watch it. I was hoping for a better role and story line for her. But congrats IU!

I was literally awed when I saw the performance version. I was like what?!? When did her dancing improve so much?!?
