Yeeun is always dark horse, she actually so good and precious,but most people come to this show to see their known-idol at first,so she a bit overshadowed in beginning,yet currently the spotlight is shine on her,and people begin to acknowledge how precious she are

Youngjoo is just being a straight up bitch now. Even her own members feel it. Felt like a huge blow to Sori too. She was always trying to keep the team together and she probably felt depreciated there. Yukika being 45kg is probably true though.

 

I'm actually glad they finally bumped into Jiseul during work (literally). Now they might be more understanding of each other unless Jiseul just goes rogue cos she wants to hide her reasons. My guess is she's an orphan with younger siblings to take care of.

 

Producer-nim please stay away from Suji thank you.

 

My fave character is still their manager  2nd is Haseo.

I feel like the part where everyone was only talking about Suji was inspired by real life.

Most of the comments I saw on earlier imas kr videos were mostly about Jane and Suji by The Ark fans.

 

This,because IRL the same The ark fans bash the concept of Suji and Jane going with not-boyish concept

I agree with what you said about this drama being on the more realistic side and showing what really goes down behind the scenes. I feel like this can resonate with a lot of kpop idols out there who dont get the attention they deserve despite all the effort they put into their work. Yeeun definitly shined in this episode for sure. I had no idea home girl's acting was this good. Cant wait to see more of her and Jeewon's story unfold.

I bet my two cent that Sweet,innocent,and shy Yeeun will back to be  Sweet and Possesive (Yandere) Jiwon's doll once again in some part of the story, and Jiwon will drive Rookie team into conflict,but Suji will free Yeeun from Jiwon,and Yeeun X Suji prevail

 

aside from that, i believe Jiwon backstory theme is sacrifices,when she poach Yeeun chance because she know that the company is fishy and she want to save the sweet,innocent,and shy Yeeun from bad people

well,most of them will surely back to their own agency for one who still bound by agency, but i heard that they will still bound by contract so IMX able to gather them back to perform for promotional purpose anytime even after the show end,well,it's something like what happen to their japanese seiyuu unit counterpart, although the seiyuus come from many different company,they still have the obligation to perform together everytimes Bandai organize Idolmaster Live Concert

tbh,after hearing these three song my favorites still Acacia > super girl magic > attention

attention have good backsound music but not too earcatchy lyrics, while Super girl magic is actually as catchy as acacia but there something that i think missing from super girl magic

We already know Suji and Jane are gonna be best friends at the end of the show simply because some of  the Ark fans still hanging on are practically begging for it (since it's the only two members they pay attention to but I digress)

No offense ,because i ain't the Ark Fans to begin with,  so i definitely defend Yeuun X Suji Ship as the main OTP for Suji rather than Suji X Jane ship

Yea but why did they chose those girls? Yukika & Sori I guess I understand but what about the others?

 

Random theory: the others three have more Japanese vibes than the other, like Jiseul have their instagram named teramoto, jiwon too,at least other than both of them have good vocal,they are relatable to Japanese. and for Yeeun,she is fans of japanese culture.

While eps 1 full of suffering upon suffering upon suffering and death, eps 2 is more heartwarming,i like it,but yeah, i hope in next eps,they will give more background story/ chara development for the other members, i know that Youngjoo and Suji is the main lead of leads,so it understandable that the first and second eps dedicated for them

also,no Jiwon spotted yet

Ok just did a MASSIVE backtrack to catch-up with everything that's been shared here. So many random thoughts, here are some i can bring to mind:

 

- Why (and when) did they change Suji's sister's name from Minji to Suah?

 

- Hmm so unlike IM@S tradition this story won't have 3 leads, only 2? Unless..... (see next point, speculation only)

 

- Woooooo, Jiwon's role is so mysterious and i am officially intrigued (esp since she's a fav of mine since the start). I particularly want to see how her emergence affects Taeri (poor poor Taeri) and her status in the group, since in the trailer she's in all the practice scenes as one of Youngjoo's team members, but *spoiler alert* we know she won't end up in the final lineup of 10. 

 

- Nice to see Yeseul has a significant role. I wonder if Coco, Nayoung and Joungjoo are still going to appear, and what their characters will do...

 

- Definitely a swerve.

 

- GVK you made me laugh so hard because i know what you're talking about.

Isn't Joungjoo already appear? she has taken the role of Youngjoo Little sister like IRL (the scene where Youngjoo called by her mother to help her to pay for Joungjoo School tuition),and probably will play significant role on Youngjoo character development later

The Japanese trailer for the show has a lot of dislikes for some reason... Is it because of the tension between Korea and Japan?

 

as we know,in Otaku culture, 2D girl is superior to 3D girl,this stigma is especially strong in Idol genre as waifu factory,,and when Idolmaster announced that their glorious superior 2D girl concept will be adopted and played by 3D girl (althought franchise only,not live-action) it inevitable that there are backlash from the hardcore fanbases

wew,their new youtube update show some drama spoiler (from minutes 12:00 to 16:00),and it's so far so good,i have quite expectation for this drama now

and from the clip, look like the now 'confirmed' lead as expected are Youngjoo,and Suji (and look like in first eps Suji will playing many role that have impact on entire storyline, i caught a glimpse of Red Queen Suji and RGP suji,too bad the RQ Suji will dead and changed )

and as my post above, i almost sure that RGP Suji will play a role that have close resemblance with Shimamura Uzuki from their anime counterpart,all those failure,all those jogging,and those determined eyes,Suji is the Shimamura Uzuki Incarnation,so idk do we should think suji as [cute] like her anime counterpart or [cool]

so now,we have only 1 other lead slot left

k, let's play the assumption game,but rather than equivalent,as Akaya said,they will get same stereotype but it will be depending how their take of the stereotype

 

Youngjoo - Obviously she is Mio,with her serious bar raised to max level,both is the leader of debut team

Jiseul - i think Jiseul will be closer to have Shiburin character,quite cold outside,but warm inside

Suji - GANBARIMAS, her character description is really similar take to Shimamura Uzuki,an average second placer girl but with the most unyielding will

Mint - i think she will have the stereotype from hibiki and anya mixed together,but with more boke-stereotype

Sori - obviously she will get the stereotype of minami

 

not finding other members comparison yet, i think Jiwon will be kind of 'devious' bad as kaede but need to see her instagram caption first 

 

NOTES: will add later if i feel i already found the stereotype in  their anime counterpart

Tfw a fictional group ends all the releases of the year so far

considering their management,and publisher,also sponsor, as long as this show gather enough success,and money, if we look from previous experience in japanese idol practice,they will be milked dry for about 1-2 year even after the show end

 

so,yeah,the only thing that able to prolong their 'fictional' group is that the show become booming 

Somehow,is it just me or acacia of Red Queen is quite better than Dream of R.G.P? probably because they are planned as the 'famous' team,they receive better starter song
