I think Yerin is a mermaid? She keeps looking at her legs in both teaser. In the first teaser she's looking at her legs in the mirror, like a mermaid who just got legs. In the 2nd teaser, the glitters on her knees looks like scale from a fish tails. Now that I remember, there is a novel called A Mermaid's Kiss where the mermaid is falling in love with an angel but that was kind of an erotic novel so I'm not so sure if GFriend's going to take inspiration from it lol.

I'm about to order the album but I still can't decide which version I should get, help. Red give more of an energetic vibe, and I love the nice contrast between red and white in the photoshoot, its just right and not too overwhelming. Aesthetically, this look is cleaner and fit my style the most. Blue is my favorite color and it exhudes cute-ness more than the Red one, it's much more saturated and vibrant with variety of styles and color blocking from the outfits. Damn, tough choices.

Musically, I actually hear a pretty clear influences of S*star's I Swear rather than Navillera, which I'm really excited since I really really love I swear and would be thrilled to have a GFriend's version of it.

I love the instrumental! I think it was probably just the Intro but it's very beautiful nonetheless, very melodic and whimsical in calmly way, very moody as well. Also, the Korean title means "Night", Sowon was the only one in the teaser with a "Night" background and she appears last. Is this finally her era?

GOD THOSE TEASERS!!!!!! I didn't expect such a huge chunk of teasers, to be honest. Each member's promotional photo, the album name, the title track, and the comeback date. Damn SouMu! Raining teasers definitely (pun intended). ----------- Also, this is probably just my silly imagination/theory, but seems like SouMu kind of going for a certain element for each comeback. Glass Bead - glass, obviously. The simplest and cleanest one, the truthful element, since glass is reflective and it's like 'showing your true-self' lol. the embodiment of innocence. There's a side-track called 'White'. Me Gustas Tu - flower. Well, the album called Flower Bud, and MGT MV is very colorful and 'flowery'. Rough - snow. The album name gave it away + the color scheme of the comeback as well. This one is also obvious, of course. Navillera - wind? Cause Navillera means butterflies, I guess. And the album that started the wind trilogy with Gone With The Wind. Fingertip - tricky, uhm, space element? Or maybe dream? Since it's The Awakening. Love Whisper - water, I guess? There's rain in the MV and them dancing on the pond. Rainbow - something connected with water since it's a repackage so, rain and rainbows. Such elemental goddesses our girls are, I know. I think when GFriend comeback with Fire element I will shit myself.

Y'ALL I was late to come here but I was definitely not late for Love Whisper! Been listening to it the whole day since it was released <3 I knew there has been pros and cons opinions towards the song. However, to be honest, the song actually hooked me on the first listen which is not something I expected after hearing the teasers. Personally, the way Love Whisper hit me was the same as the way Rough hit me. The verse sounds okay at the first listen, it didn't really hit me... but then the chorus came and it has such a refreshing and uplifting feelings. Similar to Rough, when the chorus came I suddenly felt there's an emotional and melancholic burst. Rough has a the edge over LW though, because the punch actually came earlier during Yuju's first part of the pre-chorus ("mannaji mothae maemdolgo isseo~"), but seeing the similar pattern, I'm actually very happy with this release and that I know that I'll like it. LW is definitely softer compared to their previous release, instrumental-wise. The beat is more simple, but it has a very catchy drum beat moments especially during the chorus (right before Eunha's "banjak", in between Eunha-Yuju's "deulyeojulge" part, and after Yuju's part), and there's also one during Yuju's high note. LW still has an electric guitar during the dance break (it seems like few people noticed this based on YT comments since they keep asking about "Where is GF's trademark aka electric guitar?), but it is very subtle. Also, instead of the electric guitar being the stand-out instrumental part as the usual, the drums stood out to me more this time. Which is something different since they usually put a steroid on that guitar to make sure it gives a 'shook' factor just like both Rough and Navillera. Rough was heavily orchestra based with the obvious violins sounds but then a wild electric guitar appearance shook everyone, while Navillera is leaning towards a high-energetic pop-rock song from the start with a little EDM and retro vibes, so the electric guitar at the bridge is expected and not as 'shocking' as Rough. My conlusion: Love Whisper, I though, was a solid summer release and I really like it. It's going a bit different than their usual path. They try to soften their sounds, going for a more subtle approach after the last summer song on steroids which was Navillera lol. For me, LOVE WHISPER IS NOT A SAFE RELEASE since they are actually doing instrumental experiments by softening up their sounds, leaving all those hard-hitting sounds like the usual. Okay, so this one is a Smule-video of me singing The Fray's How to Safe a Life but since the case on Smule is: you can't make your own recording unless you're a VIP member, so I joined in a duet with this random person named Alex. If any of you don't mind, could you please take a listen and give some evaluations on my singing. I've been trying to develop my support, and I thought this song was pretty comfortable for me (baribro here!). My timestamps (since me and that Alex guy are switching back and forth): 0:34 - 0:49 1:12 - 1:28 (I think I have some flat notes here~) 1:44 - 2:02 (this was the chorus, and I don't know but I think I sound really 'opened' on that last word "LIFE~") 2:23 - 2:39 (I think there are some nasal moments here) The rest of the song we sang together, we got carried over on the 3rd chorus that we still continue singing when we're supposed to stop lol. Overall, based on my own hearing, I think I'm considerably much less nasal than before (?) but I'm still not sure how 'open' do I sounds or if there are still some lingering nasality. Have you watch that whole video? It was clearly not intended to put down anyone or any-group whatsoever. During that section when our GFriend appears, she was just giving an example of some sub-vocalists from various groups to emphasize his statement about; "99% sub-vocalists in KPop idol groups don't have the grasp/sense of basic singing technique whatsoever", and how people should not be judging the vocal technique of a group generally because there will definitely be a gap in skills between the Mains, Leads, Subs. If people really want to judge vocal technique, then analyze the Mains/Leads because they're the core of the vocal in the group. Sub-vocalists were made a SUB for a reason, and to generally judge the whole group's vocal technique (in which most of the times they have more Subs than Mains/Leads) is simply not fair. Believe me Matt/Ahmin REALLY despise fanwars, and he would not have any intention of bringing anyone down. He was just simply giving an example from a technical point of view.

Hello, does anyone here happen to know about Renee Geyer? I have a question regarding her voice type. [youtube=WWWA_k3Bkko] The first time I heard her sing, I thought she was a guy. Especially during 0:43 - 0:53 and 1:28 - 1:33, those were really threw me off. I'm 100% sure she's not a Soprano. But is there any chance that she could be a contralto? Or simply just a throaty mezzo-soprano?

I understand that. Hence why I said this is just a problem of me and how I value those awards. Yeah, Bonsang is the main award, but idk, I just seem to value Best Dance a bit more since it was (supposedly) based on, or at least lean towards, skills and ability. I'm the type of person who values hardwork and skills more compares to achievement. For instance, I like it better when people know me as 'someone who's good at Math' rather than 'someone who get A+ in Math'.

I'm 100% aware that there are A LOT of groups out there that dreamed to get a Bonsang. But idk, in every other awards I always value Best Dance more compared to Bonsang because there's only one winner for that respective category. It does not mean that I'm not grateful they got Bonsang. Example, if the girls can only get one: Bonsang or Best Dance, I would rather see them get Best Dance. Basically this is just a problem between me and how I value those awards though. Don't mind me. At least the girls are happy.

Does anyone else think that Dr**mca***er is like GFriend on steroids? I mean, music wise. They basically have the same musical traits as our girls: JPop/anime intro vibe, the usage of electric guitar, the high energy and fast-pace rhythm.
