  1. What a joke. The racism goes both ways only its predominantly on the black side where violence is used. Just this fucking week I saw in my local news a black man fatally stabbed a old female korean grocery owner so dont give me this bs. It wasn't racially motivated but imagine if black grocery store clerks were being murdered by criminals, who happened to be asian, all the time ALL THE TIME. There's countless instances of black kids bullying beating up asian kids. https://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/nevius/article/Dirty-secret-of-black-on-Asian-violence-is-out-3265760.php https://www.cnn.com/2010/LIVING/10/22/philly.school.asian.american.attacks/index.html https://newsone.com/717785/black-students-and-asian-students-clash-at-philly-high-school/ You can find a ton more with a simple google search (asian + black + violence) , so please get off ur high horse. Of course pointing this out makes it "racist" because that's how our stupid world works these days, no logic no facts just insanity.
  2. Ok gotta get this off my chest. I don't usually post here but anyway. *deep breath* Here's the thing, as someone who is passionate about the Japan-S.Korea relationship I think what Jimin and BTS needs to do is turn this into a opportunity to talk about the jpn-sk relationship. Maybe do a song about it? I know this has literally zero percent chance of happening but if you wanna talk about how BTS trandscends K-Pop and pop music and talks about real issues, well here is the realest of real issues. I'd like to see this turned into something positive. Whether Jimin apologizes or Jimin doesn't apologize its the same old same old and does nothing to fix the problem. BTS isn't going to change people being hotheads or idiots online or dumb kpop scandals but they could at least contribute something positive (and desperately needed) which is a real conversation about the kor-jpn relationship. Not about finger pointing but building bridges and compromise and understanding and love. Artists become legends when they venture into controversial and even dangerous territory with their music. Again 0% chance this will happen but this is so frustrating to watch it honestly ate me up today and I'm not even a Army.
  3. Hyeri, Yura and Sojin on tvN's Amazing Saturday
  4. Why didn't anyone tell me Sunmi was in the new Harry Potter movie
  5. Some people confuse straight up opinions with unpopular opinions. If you aren't pissing a lot of people off with your unpopular opinions it proabably isn't unpopular.
  6. Person: Hi- Me: Bae Joo-hyun, born March 29, 1991, known professionally as Irene, is a South Korean singer, actress and television host. She is the rapper, visual and leader of the South Korean girl group Red Velvet.
  7. I'm a Yunjin akgae I wish Pledis would stop pairing her up with Kaeun. When they were in PD48 I can understand but now Yunjin should be allowed to do her own thing maybe even join Pledis. Kaeun is so old its not good for Yunjin's image, it only benefits Kaeun.
  8. I prefered EXID as four, I'm not crazy about Solji coming back though I know she went through a lot with her illness and as she deserves this after her previous groups failed.
  9. Black community makes accusation against someone as being racist w flimsy evidence Western ppl: Listen and LEARN. Don't whitesplain. We can't understand what they been through. Trayvon Martin. Lynchings. Jim Crow. Trump. Korean community makes accusation against someone as being racist w flimsy evidence Western ppl: Koreans are terrible. Koreans are racist. Koreans need to get over it.
  10. I mean you guys know the internal workings of the fandom better than me so I've held back but if you're going to use this to make some value judgement on the Japanese-Korean relationship and the politics/history of it stay in your goddaman lane. People have posted some disgusting things.
  11. Western stans: Oh my god all the suicides and plastic surgery and fat shaming K-Pop industry is so messed up I'm glad I dont stan! *overdoses, catfights, threats to kill the president by western musicians* Western stans: This is perfectly normal!
  12. Knetz: *watches PD48 promo* "We can't let Japanese take over the Kpop industry!" *later that day watches Your Name 50 times, buys 24 Murakami novels, 50 Pokemon booster packs*
  13. Genie was interviewed on a news piece about how hard it is to be in a girl group even after you debut.
  14. *Korean celebrity opens a bible* Knetz: CULT! *Kim Jong Un forces people to worship his ancestors and kills christians* Knetz: He's so cute! Tee hee! Lets reunifiy and eat naengmyeon! *Hollywood rapes women and has actual cults including Scientology* Knetz: *Buys 2 million Avengers tickets*
  15. If someone was hurt like Kangnam was today you don't say "I don't like him but I hope he's ok" or "He's racist but I hope he's not seriously hurt" and sure as hell not "Good he was racist so he deserved it". If you don't have the maturity or the willpower to say something decent then just choose not to write anything.
  16. I really feel like Sun J could be the JooE of this group if she was invited to a variety show
  17. Girlkind Makestar project https://www.makestar.co/projects/singer_girlkind_01/
  18. It was great, Girlkind puts out a lot of interesting content they deserve more fans.
  19. I feel like Next Level's social media team really knows what they're doing. They're always putting out fun videos of Girlkind on Youtube with english subtitles. I feel like they could become really popular internationally.
  20. If I put a user on ignore why can I still see their topics?
  21. I look at all the stars of the American music industry and they all look like how I imagine the people who live in the Capitol from The Hunger Games novels look
  22. Its a mistake to make Comfort Women just a Japan vs Korea thing its a feminist issue too. Of course western feminists pretty much ignore it.
  23. Laws are only as good as the people willing to enforce and follow them.
