Juice with the people, that's what the boy got

  3. They're particpating in the defense of cultural genocide and forced labor of the Uighurs. It just makes me so sad that the celebrity worship is so strong that it makes people so blind. Jackson is a funny and charismatic guy but he will go down in history with the same people who collaborated with the Nazis or the Imperialist Japanese.

A lot of K-Pop fans only get mad when its their sacred cows being slaughtered. Jackson didn't say anything bad about gay people or black people so why should I care right? You realize Uighurs don't have NBA players or actors or other famous spokesperson to speak out for them right? They're completely at the mercy of the Han Chinese its your duty to educate yourself on the situation by yourself not because your friends or your social media buddies or your favorite celebrity drew attention to it but because of your individual sense of morality.

Next time when Knetz get mad about a new Chinese idol in K-pop maybe actually understanding their reasoning. Knetz may be knuckleheads on some topics but they're right on the money when it comes to China. Why should the K-pop industry boost idols like Victoria or Lay so they can boost the CCP's microphone and help them deny atrocities against the Uighurs and Tibetans not to mention Christians in China?

  4. K-armys push wild conspiracy theories about how the Big 3 or broadcast networks are holding BTS back. Then I-Armys see those comments translated and they believe it even more because coming from korean fans conspiracy theories have more credibility.

If there was a conspiracy against BTS and the Big 3 were as powerful as they think then BTS would've just been killed in the cradle. Why did Mnet give BTS the American Hustle series if there was such a huge conspiracy against them? Even as a nugu group they got a decent amount of media attention.

  5. Four of the eight people killed were korean women. Is BigHit going to release a statement and donate 1 million dollars like they did for Black Lives Matter?

  6. Why are korean companies so slow to pick up on these things? NFTs are the new trend and even normies are making money off them. All the K-Pop companies need to start producing them. Western fans are too cheap to actually buy albums but they'll pay for collectibles. I want a Namjoon card from his debut where he has a afro mohawk, a limited edition Irene scowling card and the JYP 1992 rookie card.

  7. Wendy got injured because of SM and SBS's negligence. In South Korea typically lawsuits are frowned upon which is why in a lot of kdramas they show payoffs to victims in accidents. Wendy got injured, SM and SBS don't want to admit fault and Wendy's family wants to sue but they worked it out behind the scenes so SM gives Wendy a solo as soon as she's recovered. I'm sure SBS will give Wendy extra attention to make good on her accident.

  8. I'm pretty sure Suzy bullied the other Miss A members. Not like physically bully but just make them feel small for not being popular and being made to feel like burdens because they were all sharing money that Suzy made by herself. The outcast photos just prove they resented how Suzy treated them but Suzy fangirls (who are some of the most aggressive fans in the k-universe) constantly shielded Suzy and pushed the narrative that the 3 Miss A members were outcasting Suzy.

I really hope one day Fei or Jia blows the lid on this.

  9. What people do when they beg Hollywood to include minority X in their films in the name of inclusion is give power to Hollywood. They're conceding Hollywood is the ultimate power on Earth in determining which group is represented in the media. This is based on a unconscious acceptance of American cultural hegemony to the point where they can't even imagine a world without it. Why should the film industry in America have total power over every other country and race on the planet?

The better idea is to stop watching stuff from Hollywood and invest that money in other countries. Instead of whining about the lack of black actors encourage african-americans to create their own Hollywood or buff up the film industry in a African country like Nigeria. Or Southeast Asia, or the Middle East. Then there are established film industries like in Korea obviously but also India, Japan, China.

To encourage diversity we need film industries in a wide variety of countries so we have choice not one all-powerful film industry based in America.

  10. She decided to leave then she changed her mind but SM wouldn't let her back in. Then she posted on Weibo something that specificially implicated her members which she quickly deleted. I'm too lazy to go back and read all the material but basically Jessica wanted to leave then changed her mind, SM was annoyed with Jessica' new business and her boyfriend Tyler Kwon distracting her from her SNSD duties so they essentially fired her. Jessica wanted her fellow members to support her but they wouldn't so she posted that Weibo.

I don't know why SM and Jessica can't make up and they'd make serious bank with a renion tour in Japan. SM is a business and they have a duty to their shareholders to make money. Jessica is a saavy businesswoman so she should be able to suck it up and pretend to forgive.

  11. So why won't Knetz say anything about this? Why do they only condemn korean celebrities but when its a western celebrity they still kiss their ass?

Gdragon or Bom has either weed or prescription drugs they're treated like convicts meanwhile western celebs do every single hardcore narcotic on the planet they're still treated like gods by moron korean netizens. I mean weed is basically legal in America now but dumb korean parents are still sending their kids to America to study. The idea koreans are nationalistic is a joke. They'll get mad when foreigners insult their country but by far they treat other koreans the worst which is sadly common for all races.

  13. Now before we get to Hyundai we need a little background info.Lets analyze the rivalry between Samsung and Apple.

When it comes to Samsung vs Apple its amazing to see how Samsung is seen as the bad guys and Apple the good guys by liberal BLM supporting people.

    1. Samsung isn't white. Its a korean company from a small nation of nonwhite people who built themselves up from poverty through a lot of sweat and blood. Apple is composed by a majority of white americans from the luckiest nation on Earth.

    2. Apple the company was peacefully born in California during a time of incredible prosperity in America. The epitome of being born with a silver spoon. Samsung was born in the crucible of the Japanese occupation then survived the Korean War (nobody even knows how horrible it was) then a dysfunctional military government.

    3. Samsung overcame incredible odds including the specter of all-powerful Japanese electronics companies at that time which they dutifully imitated. You have to remember how belittling the Japanese view of Koreans was at this time. Presently at least Koreans have some ammo they can shoot back like the success of BTS and K-Pop or companies like Samsung or Hyundai but back then in the 60's, 70's Koreans had nothing to really be prideful about especially compared to the Japanese who seemed on their way to dominate the world economically. A lot of the early investors of the S.Korean economy were Japanese but also most of the naysayers of South Korea were Japanese as well. Imagine the white conservative American attitude towards Mexico and multiply it by a million and you get Japanese attitudes towards S.Korea at that time.

The only thing Apple overcame was Steve Jobs temper tantrums which got him fired by the board and they went on a slight downturn before he came back. Apple didn't overcome prejudice or a war that killed 10% of America's population or a dysfunctional military government. Its the epitome of white American privilege.

Obviously Samsung and other chaebols aren't so cuddly because they're involved in bribery and corruption and that stuff. Of course the late Steve Jobs got backdated stock which would be a major corruption issue in South Korea but Apple got away with it cuz Apple is cool or something.

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/timworstall/2011/10/06/steve-jobs-obituary-the-backdated-options-scandal/?sh=78d86f657632

So now we recently get news that Apple is about to partner with Hyundai (which also owns Kia) to make a Apple Car. As of writing this the deal may have fallen apart based on news reports but assuming it happens: Apple treats asian companies terribly. While its more diverse than before its still mostly white people at the top exploiting asian labor to enrich themselves. All the workers at Foxconn who have terrible working conditions, who live in a dorm (something american workers would never do) to produce iPhones so guys like Steve Jobs and Tim Cook can look cool and present them to fawning audiences. Now they want to make Hyundai Foxconn. I've read a lot of books about Apple, so I know they'll give Hyundai a raw deal, sign a bunch of secrecy deals, because god forbid someone from Hyundai leaks that the Apple Car will have four wheels, and they'll take all the credit and profits while korean workers at Hyundai toil away.

Hyundai just wants them because the people at the top, and koreans in general, have this fawning attitude towards Apple and American tech companies. Look at Suzy in Startup saying that cringey line about how she's going to get back at her sister by becoming as successful as Jobs and Zuckerberg.

  14. So lets take eating dogs in Korea as an example. As noted over and over its only a small minority of older koreans who do it now because its a culture and tradition thing. Most younger koreans are just as cringey overloving their pets just like white people now. We could get in the whole philosophical debate over animal intelligence, the difference between a dog and a cow or pig. But the point I'm trying to make is that its a belief by white people against nonwhite people (koreans). I know eating dogs is taboo in many nonwhite countries too like muslim countries but the international pressure against eating dogs is from white countries and white people or nonwhite people who were raised in white countries.

A lot of simple minded people never even think about what this type of cultural bullying means and just think why can't the whole world just have LGBT rights, feminist rights, animal rights aka act in accordance with my value system. When they hear about something from a non-white country like honor killings or female genital mutilation they'll punt or kinda condemn it without really thinking about it. Its really a failure of being unable or unwilling to put yourself in the minds of people from a different culture, ignorance of history and instead thinking your values are universal values that everyone should obey by, essentially no different from imposing your religious values on others.

When Europeans colonized the world, they didn't think they were the bad guys, they thought they were the good guys because they were Christianizing and modernizing the world. Sometimes they did do good things like vaccinating people who otherwise wouldn't be vaccinated and giving women more rights and freedoms in more patriarchal cultures. But the negative was that nonwhite people's entire culture was destroyed. The Incas and Aztecs are gone. "China" and "Japan" and north and south "Korea" exist but they're thoroughly westernized wearing western clothes,  frequently speaking western language (english) and have adopted most of their value systems (the concept of the nation-state, capitalism). The whole world is European now.

If there's a country with a very traditional culture where women have no freedom and LGBT people have no freedom and are killed do you think its OK to impose "democracy" on them where women and LGBT people have just as much freedom as in western countries but their culture and way of life is destroyed?

This is a dilemma that's never even thought of as a dilemma by younger liberal people. If white culture is bad and the age of colonization was wrong then why are we doing it all over again? You may think feminism and LGBT rights are just "no duh" things every countries should have but from the POV of a lot of countries they are very subversive and destabilizing ideologies that would destroy their way of life.

Let me use an example. I will use a fictional country to avoid offending someone.

Country X is newly discovered, it was hidden like Wakanda but its emerged now. They have a culture where women have no rights and just stay at home and raise children and aren't taught to read or write. Any person who is revealed to be gay or lesbian are executed by the government. Transgender people are executed by the government. Marrying and having non X children with non X racial people is illegal and the mother and the mixed child is killed if they are found out. That is their culture.

They have a very primitive military so there would be only 30 X casualties and zero US casualties if the US decided to intervene (on humanitarian grounds) and impose a modern, western democracy on them where the rights of women and LGBT people are protected. The media also says the government of X used poison gas on X LGBT people and political dissidents. Are you ok with a military intervention to liberate the women and LGBT people of X? Even if it means destroying their traditional way of life?

Now some of you may think something like feminism or LGBT rights are universal human rights. In your mind its not "European" or "American" its something that's simply innate in humans we should all respect. These "universal" ideas are a mixture of Judeo-Christian values and the ideas of the Enlightenment all of which originated in Europe. (Obviously Judaism and Christianity started in the Middle East but they became global through Europeans.)

So let me ask you a question. If these so-called universal ideas are so universal why are they all originating from white countries? Where did all these ideologies that shaped the current world come from? Feminsm, Communism, Socialism, Imperialism, Nazism, Capitalism, Nationalism, Black Lives Matter, Me Too, LGBT rights, Democracy, the Nation-State, human rights, animal rights, environmentalism.

When's the last time a major ideology emerged from a non-white country and white people and nonwhites who grew up in western white cultures adopted it? Never. What if China became a superpower and packaged Confucianism as "elderly rights" and forced everyone in the world always obey their elders and never question them and take care of their parents when they're old? If it happened then people raised in white western countries would resent it and feel they were a conquered people under occupation by China not interpret it as a human rights issue for the elderly.

It doesn't matter if people who invent those ideologies aren't white, if they're from a white western country and basing their ideas on the tradition of white philosophy such as the Enlightenment then they are for all accounts are transmitting "white" ideas.

White western countries then take those ideologies, which they believe are universal and moral, then impose them on the rest of the world.

So lets take feminism in South Korea for example. Many Korean women wouldn't think of feminism as some foreign ideology that was imposed on them but something from another culture they organically adopted because it fit their circumstances (male oppression, patriarchal society). I'm not saying every white western idea is imposed on a non-white non-western country. But if you're going to play the "why can't a native people organically adopt a western ideology" game then you're inadvertently justifying European colonialism because that's what they did too. When European Christian missionaries spread Christianity all over the world there emerged many Christian minority groups in non-western countries. Remember most of the time Christianity wasn't imposed by Europeans militarily, it happened "organically" through white missionaries just spreading the faith and nonwhite people organically adopting it. Many times Christianity was the gateway to other western ideologies (like Democracy). Just because it happened organically and non-western people who converted to Christianity simply wanted to practice the religion didn't make it any less subversive and destabilizing to the host countries. Christianity was frequently used to soften up a country before outright European colonization which is why Japan banned it in the Tokugawa era.

So its back to my example of Country X. Do you protect the X women and LGBT minorities if it means destroying their entire native culture? Do you want to protect dogs and forbid the minority of Koreans from eating dogs through international shaming campaigns? That's an act of destroying their culture. You are destroying nonwhite people's cultures through white western ideas even if you have the best intentions and that makes you no different from white European colonizers.

  15. Things international people don't seem to mind Japan doing: Japanese rightwing government export ban on South Korea for the government not interfering with a court decision to let former forced laborers of the Japanese Empire sue Japanese companies that profited from them. Japanese rightwing government trying to bully countries to not host Comfort Women statues. Japanese rightwing government dumping nuclear waste into the Pacific Ocean. Japanese rightwing government taking away school tuition credits from Zanichi (descendants of Koreans immigrants who went to Japan, some unwillingly), Japanese rightwing government deleting the mention of the massacre of Koreans after the Great Kanto Earthquake from their website. Japanese rightwing government Japanese rightwing government lying and saying they were going to mention forced korean laborers in their UNESCO site of Hashima "Battleship" Island then reneging on their promise.

But a 80 year old Japanese guy saying women talk too much. OH HEY THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS JAPAN IS SUDDENLY BAD IN MY EYES I'M BOYCOTTING ANIME

    Westerners are pathetic.

  16. As we all know. Sometimes korean politics bleeds into K-Pop news.

When President Park Geun Hye got impeached a lot of the Kpop sites and fan accounts covered it with news of the candlelight marches and SNSD Into the New World being played at the rallies. Because non-Korean Kpop fans don't understand Korean, or South Korea on a deeper level than kpop or kdramas they just bought the official narrative. In fact most kpop fans couldn't even tell me what Park Geun Hye even did. "She did something with a laptop???"

But my point isn't about Park Geun Hye. Maybe her advisor really was in a cult and she did some politically problematic things blacklisting celebrities and such. But how is anything Park Geun Hye comparable to what Moon Jae In doing right now? There's a lot of bad things he's done but the latest most infuriating example is banning the sending of leaflets to North Korea.

So South Korea acts so terrible when it comes to the reality that half their people are enslaved. There's a brave few who actually do something and send balloon carrying money and anti-Kim family flyers to North Korea that fly across the border then slowly drop hopefully to normal North Koreans. North Korean defectors, anti-Communist activists are behind these leaflets.

Most people don't care about North Korea. Its just a big joke to them with Kim Jong Un memes and clickbait stories just to make people rich off the suffering of North Koreans. So at least these activists are doing SOMETHING.

But now Moon Jae in in his endless simping for North Korea has ended this. Why did he suddenly do this? Because Kim Jong Un's sister told him too. Seriously. A few days after she told the SK government not to, he did it. Incredible.

    https://www.bloombergquint.com/politics/south-korea-approves-jail-time-for-sending-anti-kim-leaflets

North Korea blew up a South Korean airliner in the past. They sent commandos to kill the SK president, they killed the SK's presidents wife (Park Geun Hye's mom), they sunk the Cheonan, they fired artillery at a SK civilian island that killed civilians. And now that appeaser Moon Jae In is banning propaganda leaflets from being sent to North Korea.

So whatever Park Geun Hye did pales in comparison to what that bozo Moon Jae In is doing.

  17. I know a lot of people don't want to hear about it but I have to say something on it.

    1. A lot of ARMY or kpop fans are like "why are the Chinese mad? Namjoon didn't even mention China in his speech?" Because people on the internet get mad over all kinds of stupid things. People on the internet are irrational. Those of you who just go to asian translation sites like Nbuzz just think its a korean thing or a chinese thing. Its a everyone thing. Now because their population is so big and because nationalism is hotter in China than a lot of western countries it seems more pronounced. I'm not excusing the dumb chinese internet users. All I'm saying is in the west we got rid of Eskimo Pies and Mrs. Butterworth because of BLM so we really can't hold the high ground on logic can we?

    2. A lot of ARMY and Kpops miss the point because they don't understand the history. What makes this controversy ESPECIALLY stupid is because China fought on the side of North Korea. If China/North Korea won the war then South Korea doesn't exist, K-Pop doesn't exist and BTS doesn't exist. Its like Germans being mad at a Pole for not mentioning the German army's sacrifices in WWII. If anything Namjoon should've called out how stupid China is for backing North Korea back then because all its brought them is trouble.

Also another thing to mention is that the Chinese government/people THEMSELVES barely talks about the Korean War. If they want to honor the sacrifices of Chinese soldiers so much then nothing is stoping them. Why don't Chinese celebrities talk about it? Why don't THEY make movies about the Korean War from the POV of the Chinese? Why is it up to a South Korean celebrity to praise a Chinse army that would've destroyed his nation?

So within the initial WTF?! of why are Chinese mad Namjoon didn't mention China is a bigger WTF which most ARMY and Kpops don't understand because they have no knowledge of Korean history.
