Yaaaaay I'm excited for there uni tour, WINNER know how to put on a great show it's soo much fun watching their performances I even watched some of them more than 5 times I always end up on rock music channel watching the videos over and over again.

I know you didn't mean any harm by this but I hope we would get more careful whenever we complain about the members solo schedules. Individual schedules are the reasons why so many fandoms fall apart when everyone inside the fandom just starts fighting and demanding more justice for their favorites. Let's put things in perspective, shall we?

 

First lets be a bit realistic here cuz in most kpop groups, only one or two members get to shine. It's usually one and that member will get all the promos until the groups achieves enough success for other members to start getting promoted. Kpop used to work like this and its still happening til now. THANKFULLY this is NOT the case for Winner as each member have pretty strong individual careers and recognition. I dare say they're the new gen bg really ahead in that aspect (MMM comes to mind when we talk about GGs) reminding me of BB tbh. Second let's remind ourselves that everything is a process. It's close to impossible to have 4 members solos in one year on top of having a group cmb (RBW can do it but they're the only exception) and we're talking about YG here. Ofc it has to start with Minyoon, it makes total sense and I don't have to explain why. Jinhoon will surely get there too cuz W members are known for making things happen for themselves before their own agency even starts making a move. Let's remember the fact that Hoon was literally jobless last year, the rest all had individual schedules except for him and his stans were really depressed about it. Meanwhile Jinwoo did quite a lot and rose as the Neol jeoahae guy, snatched WON, went on Radio Star and even sang there (which no other member guesting managed to do). He's a talented visual always trending whatever he does and that's something you should credit him for. Even during the Gayos last year he trended for being the "red haired guy". Kfans from other groups were literally searching for him and I made an entire thread about it. Saying he did "nothing" this year is quite unfair. He went with Mino on LEDT and recently his Everyday Mucore fancam has been trending idk why. I wanted more receipts before making a thread. Gurl Jinwoo has a career. He's well known among the general public and all we need next is a drama/movie schedule and his solo song to come out. And I'm sure we will get it, let's wait for a bit maybe. In comparison Hoon was a bit behind individually last year and thankfully things are going into order now. He's on shows and he's doing amazing rn. Another win for him is YG ignoring his compositions for years but suddenly he was able to release Raining (kr and jap versions) + special night. This was a huge accomplishment and something he had been wanting for years. Jinhoon are not abandoned just because Minyoon are releasing their solos. Everything will happen eventually and W members take turns when it comes to individual recognition (this is something I have noticed). They're all slowly but surely getting recognition in various fields rn and all we need is for YG to say yes to every love call and let them expand.

 

Let me repeat that it is VERY hard for a group to have members with such strong individual recognition like Winner. Literally only BB comes to mind in that aspect and Winner are slowly making a name for themselves both as a group and solo acts. I still remember that post with elders talking about members from groups they know and it was 3/4 for Winner. Also you would often see comments like NJTTW Song Mino (or just Song Mino), Superstar K Kang Seungyoon (or Jang Baljang lol), Kpop star Lee Seunghoon and Neol Jeoahae guy Kim Jinwoo. How often do you see a group where the public knows every member? The public doesn't even keep up with boy groups like that, let alone being able to name every member and their representative work lol they would either know the group as a whole or/and 1-2 members and that's it. Winner is blessed in a sense that they've been able to establish their individual fame really early on in their career so now they just have to keep it up and snatch more opportunities that will make them shine. All these solos will help promote the group when they come back too so nothing is lost. What we have to worry about is YG actually coming through and do shit that will encourage their growth, not hinder them. I know you want a Jinwoo solo and I want it too but lets be patient on this one. Yoon stans have been waiting for like 7 years. And Jinwoo isn't even done with the song, he revealed himself he's been working on it and once it's ready we will get to hear it (hopefully). Hoon hasn't mentioned solo songs as of late, he's focusing on variety shows and its working quite well right now. I also hope they can snatch more schedules as a group, that would be nice on top of everything happening right now. So yeah, it's important to put things in perspective and remind ourselves of the ideal position Winner is at atm. Literally all they need is more support and they will blow up even more.

 

Its ok, I completely understand. I am very vocal-line biased w/ yoon winning out just bcuz of his affinity for rock. TBH Jinu was the ine who shined the most on this album and didn't yg say that they were working on a jinu solo? The most we can hope for right now is a drama, but i can't see that happening...

 

I wish there was another variety like WON where jinu would get to shine, but let's hope for the best. Mat-Nae hwaiting!

thanks for replying to me, i read everything and i agree with you guys. i forgot all the amazing things that happened for jinwoo last year and focused too much on this year. My only wish honestly is that all 4 members get the opportunities they deserve im honestly from the bottom of my heart happy and excited for minyoon and cant wait for their solo's.

i guess i need to be more optimistic i just get soo worried that they will disappear again and go on hiatus i just want them to keep promoting and be out there doing something than be locked in their dorms, WINNER going on hiatus scares me soo much

also hoon deserves a solo 

im happy that finally YG realised yoon deserve a solo but i hope that doesn't mean hoon and jinu will be pushed to the side with no schedules i hope there will be a winner comeback aswell or something 

EDIT: i just re read this agian and it sounds like im not happy about yoon and mino solo i am very very excited about it especially yoon since he hasn't released any solo work in ages and im curious of what kind of sound he will go with and ive already mentioned how excited i am about mino solo. they both deserve it and i am sure they worked really hard for it.

but i just wish the other two will get opportunities to shine aswell i want winner to not be like those groups where only one or two members gets to release solo music, go on variety shows and the others are left with no schedule and job 

hoon has been doing amazing on vairety show lately as we all expected, i hope he keeps getting those opportunities because i can see him go far

jinu though has done nothing this year i hope YG will at lease let him be in a drama or movie or release a solo song( over a jinu in a drama and a movie i want a jinu solo tbh)

im ok with the YG family album as long as all the members from both group gets a chance to release something that man is soo biased and only sees a few members and it better be like sm station and it doesnt mean that comebacks will be pushed back 

 

Every time I see Melomance's Sugarman song "You" in the top 10 on the charts, I'm reminded of the lost opportunity and I can't help but feel bitter. WINNER and YG would only gain from releasing the song digitally. Any other company would have released like the very next day. I swear the only thing holding WINNER back is YG.

I hate YG soo much every other company is out there pushing their groups but this man keeps refusing to use all the opportunities that come to WINNER, they dont even have to try much like winner went on sugar man and ended up having the most viewed performance, all they had to do was allow the song to be released digitally thats it WINNER did everything else they worked hard and gave an amazing unforgettable performance and got the love and recognition they deserve with their talent. This man has one freaking job and he can't even do that.

What genre and concept would you like for Jinwoo solo??

    i have soo many ideas but what i want to see him try out the most is a concept like crooked he did a really good cover of it and his vocals really complemented it or a genre lik LALA he sounds amazing in that song and he could play the drums

i dont know what type of genre shes all i need cover is but i would love him to release a song like that he sounded soo good in it plus its a really chill easy to listen to song and his vocals really suit it i could listen to that cover every day i really like his shes all i need part 

i really want a jinwoo solo to happen i never used to ever mention it before because i thought it will never happen YG usually is really biased and only lets who he likes to release a solo album, i still find it difficult that he wants jinwoo to release a solo song.  it makes me soo happy YG sees how talented our baby is and that he deserves soo much hes soo hardworking and such an amazing person.

the word hiatus scares me i hope we have moved away from that and yes i just want them to keep promoting and do concerts 

I want it too but they are hella busy rn. B4 we would get plenty of solo vlive, Hoon was on almost all the time but they don't do that anymore and I get why. When they come back they have to continue with the university tour and then maybe other schedules will come along the way. And the time they're not shooting stuff or performing is when they do get to rest so I understand.

i know tbh i rather have them rest then force themselves to do vlives but i really miss them and ive watched everything im just waiting for new content, after they finish their uni festivals im curious about what they are going to do

I agree. I liked that they focused on his face a bit more compared to the other covers where it's a full shot (Lee Dongwook looked nice tho) and his tattoo peeking is just everything is on point~
