    An album doesn't only have poster, poster is usually for first press only anyway. There's booklet, CD, the usually unique packaging, also the feeling of owning an official merch and supporting the artist. I feel like kpop albums are treated more like collectibles than actual albums, that's why some companies released 12345 ver. of the album to boost up sells.

    Same, I'm not familiar with the concept of repackaged album before kpop, but I think repack is mostly done by idols? Fans don't buy CDs for music, they mainly buy albums for the packaging, pictures, and to support the artist. That's why kpop albums are usually quite interesting physically. People nowadays listen to songs digitally and the CDs probably won't see the light of day anyway.
