  1. Same The colours are gorgeous, it must have been amazing to been it and for the boys to see.
  2. The last thing we got was her photoshoot months ago... Not JYPE turning Yubin into an Instagram model since that's all the activities she seems to get
  3. The 2nd imo is the prettiest, I feel like the others kind of make Wendy look a little odd due to the lighting and distortion.
  4. Yenny looked great, and she sounded great I'm not really into the song - it sounds like a really typical "crowd anthem" kind of song unlike imo the expressiveness and depth shown on Me? but I am happy she is back on stage again.
  5. https://onehallyu.com/topic/581889-a-show-for-useless-members-to-prove-their-worth/ Possible bait thread?
  6. This is so cute and thoughtful! How adorable I'm happy most of them were able to make it sad Onew wasn't there And typical Kibum, making sure he looks good at all times lol I goddamn knew it was Vetements and their overpriced designer junk
  7. Nope, my bias was always Seulgi when she caught my attention right away with her charms in Be Natural, but the others have shuffled around before.
  8. https://onehallyu.com/topic/581390-why-childhood-bully-died-in-car-accident/ Not sure if this thread breaks any rules, but I just wanted to bring it to the mod's attention because it seems like it could potentially branch into pretty awful territory pretty quickly.
  9. The PJs are adorable! I love how the presents really encapsulate Key as a person, those lucky fans
  10. Ceci shoots always make Red Velvet look so good I love how they went into a completely interesting direction rather than just "let's throw them into whatever is trendy right now" like a lot of shoots do! Victorian steampunk concept when SM???
  11. Welcome to the thread! They look like Victorian ladies omg
  12. I agree 100%! Honestly, I think sometimes people expect mega-success right out of the gate, but that has really become the exception rather than the norm nowadays, and people who equate anything less than that to a failure are not only not being realistic, they're ignoring that they really hardly ever happens. Even EXO took a year for Growl to happen, SNSD took 2 years, and other SM hits like Sorry Sorry took 4 years to happen (although Super Junior and SNSD had successful songs before these, I'm referencing only mega-hits that people tend to flock towards when measuring success). SM has played their cards well with RV, growing a loyal and dedicated fanbase alongside greater and greater public appeal not just for the group but increasingly for the individual members as well, and I don't think that's anything to scoff about. 2018 is going to be a good year for sure
  13. I'm proud of the girls for winning the Bonsang I'd agree that fans are kind of expecting a "Gee" or a "Growl" moment for RV, but I honestly think they're doing amazingly even if they haven't had some kind of mega-hit. I don't think it's unrealistic to feel that they're going to win something at the upcoming award shows - they might not win everything they're nominated in, but they are by no means on a bad footing. Also, watching Irene's Nuovo ads always make me sad because the shoes look so cute but I doubt SK carries anything in my size
  14. Why didn't Bighit let Sea be the title track? It's not a huge catchy pop song sure, but it's so beautiful and so much more emotional and impactful than a love song; it actually sounds like what I love about BTS I'll be forever bitter about this even though I like DNA just fine
  15. Exciting! I rarely see solo stages from Minho (compared to the others) so this will be interesting
  16. I figured that it's only groups that debuted that year where the first release is what is counted - at least I've heard that. I'm sure some industrious Reveluv has calculated all the criteria and whether Red Velvet has a shot but I'm just going to go with the simple logic of "they have high sales and public recognition" = they have a chance. I think we have similar thoughts on the idea of "fandom culture"
  17. Do award shows count all songs released throughout the year for the final winner? Because you're right, with both Red Flavour and Rookie, two million seller songs with huge impact (I mean, we all know Red Flavour is going to be a million seller too ), I would definitely use the phrase "robbed" if they don't win something! Sure, their physical sales may not be the highest this year for girl groups, but they're still good and their digital sales are no joke either. And Reveluvs I'm sure will vote hard to make sure their viewer voting scores are high. Unless we have a reputation as being a "lazy" fandom? I've never really paid attention to that aspect of fandom culture.
  18. I think it's definitely possible for them to bag some, depending on the criteria for the awards are (I know some favour physical more than digital or vice versa, etc). They've done extremely well this year, and nobody can deny that Red Flavour had a huge impact in SK, so I think it would be ridiculous if they didn't at least win something. Especially since they're one of the top girl groups, objectively speaking based on their achievements
  19. I'm also pretty skeptical of this, especially with how cheap the logo is plus the fact that I can't see MNet inviting some of those artists like SNSD if their contracts haven't been finalised. I think we should wait for official announcements rather than a supposed "leak".
  20. SMH at SM tossing an instagram filter over this like it could control Shawols
  21. I mean, as a Singaporean I can say that the country is prosperous but I wouldn't say people across the board are rich. There are undoubtedly KPop fans who can afford to spend that much money like that I guess, but that's not the case for me or most of my friends in SG who are KPop fans. Or maybe they're trying to attract people who can actually shop at SHILLA? Lol who knows maybe a bunch of rich middle-aged aunties are going to end up going with those prices. I'm actually kind of perplexed as to who they're trying to target.
  22. I have always wanted to go to toronto but I'm far south enough that it'd be quite the trip if I attempt it. But I don't think I can complain because well...KPop does not go to Ohio much at all
  23. Pennsylvania. I could potentially go to NYC if a group goes there, but again, depends on uni schedules and I'd need to find someone to go with me because I wouldn't feel safe going on my own. I could drag my boyfriend but he's super cheap lol KPop is a struggle
