Hi everyone ! With soneseomatessnsdforever, we thought it would be cool to revamp the page's OP for her birthday ! She already talked to ohsolively too! I've started to work on something but I wanted your opinion on the colour palette. Do you think an OP matching the colours of the second post would be better? I've been hesitating between that and a red theme (because of her relation with the colour, Scarlet, Ruby etc ^^).

Again with the Suzy bashing. While I do think Seohyun has more potential as an actress, I really don't see the point of these comparisons on this thread. It's not constructive and it will just bring her unecessary hate. Take it to the bashing thread please. Our bias is humble and not greedy, let's be the same guys. - Anyways I agree with the post listing her remaining flaws, except for the crying prettily stuff ^^ I personally like it better when actors go all in, like Viola Davis in Fences recently (only example I have atm). It feels genuine and authentic. I'm also reminded of how Jessica Alba's acting in one F4 movie was panned, especially her crying scenes; later, she explained that she acted it like this because the director had asked her to "cry prettily". You're right in the sense that people might bash her on weekdays drama though. But I think it would fit well on the big screen, where people don't have as many... Weird preferences?

You're right, it's crazy how whatever she does she is always versatile and manages to keep things interesting. Seeing how fast she improved, I definitely think she has the potential to become one of the best idol-turned-actresses. Hell, maybe after fifty episodes of Thief Mr Thief she'll manage to blow away all my expectations - it wouldn't be the first time. But I guess I'm unconsciously being...harsher/more expecting (?) when it comes to her haha, to offset the potential stan goggles. It's easier for me to assess the performance of someone I casually like or barely know, I'm too biased when it comes to her.

SooYoung is the most natural, even in her first roles she was already decent. If I had to choose I'd choose her. YoonA improved greatly and she has the most experience. She's been taking more challenging roles and the efforts show. Yuri had a rough start but she did well in her latest drama. So really they all progressed, it's nice to see. But they all need more experience imo. I think the best actress would be the one with more range, but they haven't done enough roles with diversity to judge for sure. So yeah, pointless comparison I think. But it's definitely nice to see how fast Seohyun improved, I can't believe she's the same mortifyingly awkward girl from Passionate Love. Props to her for being so diligent.

Always nice to see the name of your bias next to some great artists haha (listen to SZA and Syd's albums btw, they're really good huhu) But seriously, the artistic direction for her solo was really well crafted and refreshing. Alongside a more cohesive sound, it's the thing I can't wait to see more, though I know it might take some time. me

Not wanting to police the tone or anything, but discussing the potential value of a role and straight up bashing an actress aren't exactly the same thing. That comment was kinda unnecessary, especially when both Seohyun and Suzy are still growing as actresses and have been ridiculously pitted against each other in the past.

It's okay, thank you anyways I was just wondering because so far, Thief Mr Thief is the best project she's had in terms of quality (let's hope it stays that way!), a drastic change compared to the previous package deals (ML, SIMAF...). Then again, the Soshi girls have been snatching MBC dramas left and right these days so eh. I really hope this opportunity is due to her having a better team now, though. I've always been skeptical when it came to Seohyun's acting career mainly because of how it was handled (projects that brought her fans but no credibility as an actress); I can't help but have high expectations for what's to come next now (I JUST WANT HER TO GET WHAT SHE DESERVES OKAY ;______;). But I'm getting ahead of things. She's always been a quiet force, getting to her goals slowly but surely.

It seems to happen more often than before (I wonder why), she's been reacting very strongly to these hackers recently. Pathetic people. Anyways, I too really hope she gets a movie role next. It doesn't have to be a big role nor a big box office success, just a nice project with competent people. Also korean movies in general are so much better than dramas in terms of quality. Which reminds me: does anyone know if Seohyun has a separate managing team for acting? I know DO has one, not sure about other SM acts...
