I personally think holding a solo voting thread makes more sense but I'm afraid it might create unecessary drama on this website (which I see as unjustified but this is OH...). Love the new title of the thread by the way "The dawn of CEOhyun" is hilariously brilliant

I won't speak for Mintberry, but I want to add my two cents because this thread has always been one of the nicest and chillest of this chaotic forum. I personally genuinely think your presence in this thread has become overbearing lately: You keep on spamming us with so many hints and little concrete information apart from rumors without solid foundations as well as your own speculations. You accuse Mintberry of being afraid of being wrong, but you're the only one reeking of that here. Every time someone contradicts you you're the one who doesn't take it well. I might as well add to that you're the only one who has called them out ad hominem. You keep on making short sentences with thousands of "..........." and " " so you can avoid owning up to the shit you stirr and pretend we just misunderstood, but this game is getting tired. You're not fooling anyone. Most importantly, you have not once acknowledged any of the valid remarks of people who are regulars in this thread. All in all, you're just showing the exact same terrible attitude that has made you persona non grata in the main thread here, with the exact same shamelessness and lack of self-awareness. That's all I'll say about this any more though, as I was told that trying to reason with you was futile and you're more than likely to just ignore the important thing I say. Hopefully other active members will have the patience to correct any misleading information and groundless rumors before they spread. --- Moving on, I'm excited about the new team she seems to have gathered. I hope this will revamp her image a bit. She's always had a very classy aura and she's always suited a more elegant and simple look, rather than the idol style. Bring out the photoshoots and the ads!!! I'm a bit bitter she didn't go to SFW though, because she owns the stage everytime, look at this vampire queen:

I don't know what user you're referring to but if you guys have a problem you should fix it in private. Or, if you really want to debate, throw in some constructive and detailed arguments instead of throwing shade and oneliners here and there. It brings nothing positive to this nice thread, and it's especially frustrating considering at least 4 members here tried to reason with you. To stay on topic: Click here to view the Tweet

She is friends and has been working with the girls for 10 years, no one has ever denied that oh my god. They're not going to cut ties all of the sudden, especially not when Seo, Soo and Fany left the company on good terms. What are you rambling about? All we're saying is that it's tiring when hardcore group fans focus only on a SNSD reunion when the recent events are also indicative of an evolution in their individual career. And it's especially irritating when it's done in an individual thread. Once again, that doesn't make us akgaes, you should definitely stop misusing this word. Not to mention, how is liking a post made by Hyoyeon, the member she's closest to, indicative of anything substantial "... " ? Sometimes it's just better to wait, relax and trust the girls, instead of overspeculating and antagonizing other members here. The girls obviously know what they're dealing with better than we do.

Just a question: why are you acting like just because she is out of SM she would suddenly cut ties with the friends/co-workers she spent 10 years with lol? You're being very thirsty for drama here. Not to mention I also saw that you captioned this "Akgaes are shaking" in the main thread. Really uncalled for but whatever, we already tried to explain our position to you.

This. We're in Seohyun's individual thread for god's sake. It's supposed to be a safe space for all Seohyun fans, be it people who became fans through GG or fans who got to know her through WGM, her dramas or her solo. Honestly I'm tired of Sones giving us individual fans shit like this EVEN NOW, as if outgrowing the group or not being particularly interested automatically meant wishing ill-will to the other members. I think it's better to just admit that you're just interested in your fave instead of pretending to support all of them equally and then pay dust to the less popular members. That's the kind of attitude that has caused so many Seomates to take their distance from the main fandom in the first place. I also completely agree with your previous post (but I ran out of upvotes). I just want to add that there's a kind of selfishness in some's attitude: why would you expect them to keep the idol-thing going after ten long years? Groups like Big Bang and 2PM could because they progressively adopted a more mature image and gained a lot of creative input, but that's just not the case for GG. Hell, WG had that in their last years and they still chose to disband and move on to other things. The girls love GG but their recent choice to focus on individual activities show that although they treasure the group, they're moving forward. And yes to the potential CF/photobook (please) ! Though to be fair I'd be satisfied with any kind of new content.

CJES doesn't really have a good reputation indeed, but they do a good job with Gummy and they found JYJ tons of gigs so idk. Don't just tour in Asia Seohyun, Europe has been waiting for you for soooo long too (tbh when I say I want her at foreign movie festivals, I really just mean: I want her at the Cannes Festival so I can ditch everything in my life just to go and catch a glimpse of her and yell "SEOHYUUUUUN" at the top of my lungs)

They can still be compared because they're both new and promising actresses who both started out as idols. The comparison stops there, with Nana's good reception by the public being a nice reference too . I don't understand the point you're trying to make with Pledis? You're basically nitpicking and ignoring the main point lol, but yeah let's leave it at that. Anyways, I've seen a lot of people mention KeyEast; do they manage singers too? Otherwise I think she might opt for a smaller company that can cater to her specific needs better. I'm also torn because while i think she definitely deserves a good rest (to travel or go studying abroad as she suggested), i don't want her to lose the momentum gained with BTGT. Will her long-awaited movie debut finally come next year *_* ?

Yeah but Mintberry's post was about idols' transition past that point, and the possibility of a good public reception. That's all.

People saying shit like "it's not like Seohyun and Sooyoung were neglected by SM" make me laugh. Yes, yes they were and have always been, it's just that you didn't care about them enough to ever pay attention. They had to hustle and to fight and to beg to get the roles/opportunities they wanted, and that's after ten long years of dedicating themselves to the group. Why are some people so shocked by the fact that they (rightfully) wanted more for themselves ? I'm glad they stood their ground and I hope they find good companies. And yikes at some's fake concern. Don't worry, they got by well enough (in terms of individual activities) with minimal support from their company. They will be more than alright.

There there. Just let time do its job and soon you'll be able to look at GG's legacy and beautiful memories with fondness rather than sadness and bitterness. Especially when the girls look happy with their choice. The girls are all looking forward and we should start to do the same. Edit: posting this too since this has never been more relevant:

SooYoung has been my second favourite member since I discovered the group back in 2008. I'm honestly so proud of the career she has built for herself so far and I wish nothing but the best for her (including a good acting company that promotes her like she deserves and lands her critically acclaimed gigs). Her relationship with Kyung Ho is so cute too, and she has always expressed her longing for marriage and a family of her own. I hope they can stay happy together <3

It's a sad and underwhelming ending to a legendary era but I hope heartbroken fans will be wise enough not to hate on the members who decided not to renew. As for me, I'm honestly glad the members chose what was best for them. And Seohyun is finally free. People have been asking "Why wouldn't she renew" but as her fan, I had my doubts. SM has continuously been doing her dirty and stunting her growth (stopping her from being in musicals when it was her dream in the first place, rejecting promising roles, giving her botched solo promotions...). They didn't even bother promoting TMT which is now indicative of their tense negotiations I guess. Edit: I also hope Seohyun and SooYoung (who have been my favourite members since I discovered GG in 2008) find good companies who treat them well; if they focus on acting, SM's power is limited in this area so I'm glad too. I'm just wondering about Seohyun's musical career now. (not even a last SJJD album though, now that makes me really really sad ;_;)

I agree, but that's also a pitiful characteristic of korean red carpets imo. The dresses often look outdated and tacky, and the makeup is often disappointing too. Honestly she is beautiful so she can pull off most things, but I wish she'd get a better stylist/more flattering dresses for events like this. That's also why I'm so eager for her to get cast on a quality film: for her to go to foreign movie festivals and to revigorize her red carpet style a bit. Edit: just went back to look at the thread and wow, I think some users need to chill a bit. Yes awards are nice and yes it would be good if the merits of her work were acknowledged, but awards are not the end of all and I don't think we should develop such a fixation on it. She only started acting recently, there will be a lot of other opportunities in what I hope will be a long and fulfilling career. If she gets an award, awesome ! If not, there's not point in degrading other actors like I have seen some do in the previous posts. All it does is give Seohyun and her fans a bad reputation; not a pretty sight, really.

I agree with you guys, the photo teasers were kind of a let down. Why are they doing her dirty like this ._. ? Of course she's still beautiful but man...it looks like botched work lol. Oh well, whatever I guess. All we can do is keep on cheering for her and hope she'll enjoy the comeback fully (even if we have bitter regrets hahahaha). Omg this is so funny though. (But yeah I do understand her overprotective fans. Plus some Yong*Seo shippers were completely crazy and always went overboard.) With her acting career taking off so well, she will have to be extra careful for her next project. I'm also a bit sad because I think she might put her musical career on hold for the time being and focus on acting. Thank you for all these infos btw Do you lurk on DC Inside regularly?

Lol, the Sones who give her shit can sod off. She's given ten years of her life to this group. She's one of the member who missed the least schedules in ten years and who rarely (if not never) half-hasses performances. Not to mention how most of these so called group fans don't care about her at all in the first place. Quit pretending when you still call her boring and awkward every chance you get, when you're still stuck in 2009 and only occasionally use her for bragging rights. LOL. There are wonderfully supportive people in the Sone fandom, but god do the crazy, immature, entitled one exasperate me to no end. I'm looking forward to the anniversary ofc, but I'm also glad they'll focus on individual activities afterwards. She's branching out and gaining an entirely different demographic of (less annoying) fans.

I didn't think I could love her more but there she is again, proving me wrong. I'm just so so proud of her. After ten years of diligently honing her skills, she gets to take part in such a special song. Just when some people were questioning her dedication to the group because of her new (and well-deserved) opportunities, there she comes with a special gift for the fans. Also remember : I'm praying for the empowering woman anthem I had been waiting for in her first EP

Tbh I don't mind in this case. They're actually discussing her change in image and her growth as a person, which is always nice to hear from her because she's so well-spoken. Especially on their 10th anniversary, it's like looking back and seeing how much she's grown. I know it's frustrating when people act like it's still 2009 (what with all the "proper" and "seobot" (which she never was but whatever) bullshit), but for people who don't follow her as assiduously as us, the change is still surprising and needs to be reminded. To me this year, with her activities with SNSD6 and BTGT, is the real turning point in her career and the public's perception of her (esp BTGT, it's really doing wonders to her skills and to her image which was already really good #godblessSoju). I can't wait to see what's next for her in 2018.
