I'm new here I'm sort of a lurker. I'm sort of interested in this new girl group. The reason I decided to make my first post here is because I'm amazed and curious as to how a lot you in the particular forum find so much information about these girls? Its as if its serious detective work albeit slightly creepy

That isn't what I fear the most. I'm worried that YG might give the songs that 2NE1 recorded with will.i.am to the new girl group YG has a tendency to recycle old songs that were never fully introduced to the public. Examples being Scarecrow and there is also a rumor going around that the new boy group will be debuting with an old GDTOP song. 2NE1's American debut doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon and the songs that were produced by will.i.am would just be a wasted if it is never introduced I'm worried that the reason that YG postponed 2NE1's american debut indefinitely was because he believes that the new girl group would have a better chance of being successful in the US than 2NE1 as he seems to be very unsatisfied with the way 2NE1 turned out. Can someone please try and convince me that my fears are unfounded and I am just being paranoid?

Its true and in order to stay relevant in kpop you need to come out with new material regularly.

I agree with you. I remember when DYLM song came out, blackjacks were praising the song left right and center. Some were even saying that this was new favourite 2NE1 song but as soon as the song started doing badly many people started to saying they didn't think the song was very good. Honestly this happens a lot. If a song does well, people just follow the bandwagon and say they like it as well and that its a really great song. If a song doesn't do as well, people will say the song as is crappy regardless of whether it is or not

Do you mind me asking if it was this a commercial in Korea?

Its a slow new day for 2NE1. I think most blackjacks are just waiting for a sign that a new song/album will be coming out soon. A teaser would be very helpful right now ;_;

At first I was super depressed when I saw this list but then I started looking at how the points where distributed. 2NE1 didn't receive any album points and it counted CF points as well. I'm pretty sure that if 2NE1 had released and album by now and YG wasn't as selective with his CF deals 2NE1 would have placed higher. Anyway, I'm proud of our girls for still making it to 5th place even though they haven't released an album in 2 years EDIT: even with what I wrote I still think that YG needs to get his act together or by next year 2NE1 could find themselves further down the list and that is even a more depressing thought to consider

I love their music. I also love that 4 totally different girls can come together to form a group united by their love of performing. I love how they're really different from other girl groups and that they're still able to maintain their fierce attitude even with songs like FIL and DYLM. I love their strong vocals and I love that many of their songs carry a meaning stronger than boy meets girl.

I really don't want 2NE1 to break up at least not for another couple of years, I still think they have some much potential that hasn't been tapped yet YG really needs to get his sh*t together and stick to his pormises He also needs to allow 2NE1 to start doing the things the want
