Where is Lee Hi or AkMu? They are definitely having a comeback this year. I'm doubtful of a 2NE1 comeback. Knowing YG, a 4th quarter comeback usually means sometime in the next year

I'm going to be buying the downloaded version too since they both digital and physical numbers are counted as album sales in the USA but if the physical album has cool extras I'll probably buy that instead.

The only impact that Kara really made was in Japan but overall IMO 2NE1 beat them. They only had two real hits and if you compare MV views, Korean album sales, and digital sales 2ne1 Is ahead of them. It's not all about sales and who made the most money if it were the list would be like this

WG may not have made as much money as Kara and SNSD but no one should deny that they were one of the most successful kpop girl groups. More so than 2NE1 and Kara in terms of impact.

do you guys think that like 2.5 year break hurt 2ne1s fanbase? physically? in 2011 they were doing so good physically

They weren't doing hat great in 2011 either compared to the previous years. By the end of the year, they had only sold 80,000 copies of their album compared to the 100,000+ copies from the two previous ones.

Nevertheless I do believe that their hiatus hurt their overall sales, both physical and digital and led to them losing quite a bit of domestic fans.

I watched the Green Light performance and I thought Chen was awesome

Just finished watching it. It was hilarious.

Dara has definitely improved since the last time we saw her acting. There are a few issues here and there with here acting. She does tend to overreact at times and she let out too much of her own personality come out in this role but she still did good. I really hope that she gets a Darama soon. Her starting of with a minor role in  a drama should allow her to fix some of the issues that she has.

Random question. Are 2ne1 the shortest idols in KPop? I swear I consistently forget how little they are! Kinda cracks me up how they can be so fierce when they are so tiny!!!!!!

Secret and BEG are shorter than 2NE1. I guess now so are Tiny-G

the other members have been popular since debut , day 1 thats nothing to do with minzy shes amazing but shes not as strong as other members tbh

CL wasn't that popular from debut. Only Dara and Bom really were. Ever since her solo CL's popularity has increased by a lot.

All those potential awards lost. This was supposed to be their year.

 

But at least we've heard some stuff about Bom. Reflection's probably going to be over when they bring out their next album OTL

One or two members of 2NE1 could still go to the award show to collect any award that they receive but there probably won't be any end of year award performances from 2NE1.

im starting to get annoyed at people saying Minzy should leave because she hasnt got a solo? like really cl didnt get a solo until last year where she was 22 yet people think minzy age 20 deserves them ?

It's not just about age though. Minzy is the longest trainee out of the 2NE1 members and she's been promised a solo opportunity since 2011 and she still hasn't received one

I'm not saying that she should leave and I really hope that she doesn't but I don't think that age is the best way to choose whether or not someone deserves a solo. Minzy has dedicated almost half her life to YG and 2NE1 and she's waited the longest out of the members for a solo opportunity. She hasn't gotten one yet and she definitely deserves one ASAP.

You should know YG by now. He doesn't drop his artists just because of a scandal. That should be the least of your worries.

I'm not worried about YG dropping 2NE1 because of this scandal. What I meant was that he has a tendency to lose interest in his artists when he takes up a new project or when he doesn't think he can make as much money from them anymore.

ex. Gummy, SuPearls, Big Mama moved record labels because they felt YG wasn't promoting them enough,  Wheesung left YG because he felt that YG was focusing too much on his newer acts.

What I don't want is for YG to start neglecting 2NE1 anymore than he already does.
