1. I know this is going to sound stupid but i am willing to take the risk anyway .
So i sort of realized that there is a huge difference with my vocals depending on where i am . Like when i am indoor ( at my house ) i can actually add simple runs and sustain notes with vibrato . On the other hand , when i am outside of the house ( at the park or just in front of the house ) , i tend to have a stronger head voice but i loose the agility of my voice . I dont know if this is just me making things up but is that even possible ? Can your voice change depending on your environnement ?
Also , how can you combat nasality even tho your voice is naturally nasal . I always have a cold so their is always something stuffed in my nose , my talking voice is extremely nasal and high pitch , sadly. I dont know if its because i speak french and that's a really nasal language .

Oh yeah , and i would gladly appreciate if someone would analyse a audio of me signing and tell me what i should work on to better myself . I have to sing solo for a friends wedding and im not confident about my voice ( this idiot is forcing me to do it  ) . Thank u to however takes the time to reply .

No, I don't really think that's a thing at least not like that. I understand being in colder/warmer environments can affect how you vocalize, but just singing inside or outside really should matter at all. I was always taught..in psychology that correlation does not mean causation so it's problem that.

Well, no matter what language you sing we all yawn(I yawned while type this) and when you yawn your soft palate goes up no matter what, plain and simple. When you take an effective low breath your soft palate goes up. French isn't as much of a nasal language as it is a very forward language. You don't need to sing with lowered soft palate in order to sing French properly opera vocalist do it all the time. I'm not familiar with French pop music so I don't know any vocalist that I can like name. Think of it like this, Korean isn't a "nasal" language at all, however people like Jessica sing with a lowered soft palate literally all the time whereas someone like Taeyeon sings with a risen soft palate majority of them time. Does that help?

  2. okay i dont really know what's going on in the thread rn, but i just recorded this for fun and im going to drop this here to try and alleviate the mood

also, im done puberty but i feel like my voice is getting heavier LOL especially in the third octave

(the volume on this mix for some reason is rly low, so pls turn up the volume ^^)

Well, the voice doesn't truly stop maturing to late 20s early 30s so it's very possible for your voice to get heavier or even lighter from here to then. You're what...20..21? Yeah, your voice is still what is considered "young," of course it's not like a teenager or someone who hasn't gone through puberty, but it's still in it's growing stages so take care of it.

  3. Yeah! I sent a lot of cover songs here (7 afaik) and my range is like C3-D#4 and you guys weren't sure if i wasn't a baritone since I only can sing until F2 but I do have a hard time already in my E4.

I don't have actual training, but I've been singing since I was 3 and I transitioned quite well in my puberty. I trained in a school choir and competed for 4 years. I quit choir since i feel like I've learned everything I can there and i'm focusing on studies now.

Thanks to this thread I learned more about my voice. i thought I was weak but I learned that my experiences gave me and edge. I don't want to sound cocky so i'll stop but I can answer things about my voice that I learned from you guys here if you don't remember haha. XD

P.S:I'm not really bragging but I've never been too nasal at singing except for a few times when I'm nervous and it's the only thing i can brag about my voice before since most of my friends can sing so high. :/

    Right okay.
  4. Oh. Just checked and I'm pretty sure I'm a strong weak to average hahaha I want to get to average soon but i don't sing often since I'm so busy i don't even have time to warmup and find songs I can cover. (But my support is like Average to above average, damn I'd be average if I actually can be resonant at times haha)

Not to discourage you, but you're contradicting yourself. How you can have Average to Above Average support, but only be weak to average? That makes no sense at all. Also have you had lessons? Because really without lessons, an adequate ear, vocal knowledge etc. being anything above weak is very difficult. Being a weak to average vocalist really isn't easy...neither is being a weak vocalist either if you're a beginning vocalist. Have Matheus or I heard you sing?

  5. I mean, I really dislike kool-aid but okay. I've only tried the powder and add water ones and they aren't very good.

That's the only Kool-aid is made lol. I've never seen it made any other way. To make kool-aid is like balancing a chemical equation, it is literally applied chemistry. If you don't get the powder to water to sugar ratio correct it's nasty. So you might have just had some bad kool-aid.

  6. rn all i want to do is breathe properly, i tried following Ahmin's video but like i cant seem to raise my soft pallete or put my tounge in position LOL

But on another note, breathe support can help asthma right? I have some pretty bad asthma lol.

I'm sorry to hear that I wish I could help.

    Honestly I have no idea.
