Two reasons I imagine Reason 1: it’s not the country that’s denying it, it’s the fans, because that’s what fans do, shield their faves from anything Reason 2: it could just be politeness thing. People get a lot of hate for having plastic surgery, just like the get for not having it for not living up to extreme beauty standards. Unless they consent, it’s not polite to bring up things that make people uncomfortable, and plastic surgery is one of those things. If you have noticed, most people online bring up plastic surgery as a way to insult, because that’s what they want to do, to insult. They are not trying to be polite at all.

Sorry for the late reply. Basically, science has developed multiple non-invasive ways to kill fat cells in regions that don’t seem to lose fat even with dieting. Best known in Kpop is carboxytherapy which has been discussed before, but it’s not the only one. Another way for example is cryolipsis (aka coolsculpting), basically freezing fat cells. Laser can be used too to melt fat cells: There are a lot more than this. Obviously the ones I put are ads so they tend to exaggerate the effect, however, I simply put videos explaining how they work. Also Kpop idols are generally skinny so any change in their physical shape is notable immediately, even if small.

And it’s outright impossible if you also kill fat cells with things like carboxy shots or coolsculpting too. Remember how Yuri used to be skinny-curvy, now she is just skinny. That was a cosmetic procedure.

First question: yes, that’s exactly what that is implying. Maybe this plan is not meant to unfold now, or in 10 years, 25 years etc. but the implication is that an invasion is planned at some point. Second question: MK Ultra was a CIA project that actually sounds like a conspiracy theory but it turned out to be real. It was an illegal human experimentation program, CIA were studying torture using American and Canadian civilians, more specifically, the most effective ways to torture. It was not supposed to become public, almost everything about this was destroyed during Watergate…except for a number of documents that were accidentally mixed with financial information that were declassified decades later.

Both are possible. It could be on purpose like you said, but also mistakes like this happen a lot more often than you think because people, no matter how much they strive for perfection, can’t help being people. I’m not trying to whatabout with this next statement, just show another example of people being people: the reason we know CIA experimented in average citizens with various drugs for potential military use (project MK Ultra) is because someone missed shredding documents detailing this, they were never supposed to be made public. Apparently someone put them in the wrong paper file among financial documents and promptly forgot about their existence. Whoopsie.

An accidental social media post revealed how one Chinese outlet is toeing the line while the world grapples with the mounting Russia-Ukraine conflict. Horizon News, a subset of Beijing News, which is owned by the Chinese Communist Party, posted "instructions" on how to cover the escalating tensions to its Weibo page on Tuesday, according to The Washington Post. China has strengthened its alliance with Russia in recent years and the two countries have also become increasingly active economic partners. Trade between China and Russia has grown from $10.7 billion in 2004 to $140 billion by 2021, according to the Carnegie Moscow Center think tank. Coupled with China's strict limits on press freedoms, news outlets in the nation are constrained in what they can say without government intervention. In the Weibo post, Horizon News stated that any content painting Russia unfavorably would not be published. The same applied to any pro-Western framing, according to The Post. Later on Tuesday, the Weibo post was deleted, The Post noted. "Simply put, China has to back Russia up with emotional and moral support while refraining from treading on the toes of the United States and European Union," Ming Jinwei, a senior editor at the Xinhua News Agency, wrote in a WeChat blog cited by The Post. Xinhua is the official press agency of the Chinese government. "In the future, China will also need Russia's understanding and support when wrestling with America to solve the Taiwan issue once and for all," the editor later added. https://www.businessinsider.com/china-news-outlet-ukraine-coverage-instructions-weibo-horizon-russia-2022-2?r=US&IR=T&utm_source=reddit.com

Who do you think is a lesbian in kpop?

I wasn’t deep in the fandom either, but I remember they were very popular to ship in fanfics, see this iconic line -
As long as the new variants become like flu, that reoccur but are too weak to overwhelm the system, we'll be fine. The first waves were disastrous because of how many people they killed or put in respirators, stopping hospitals and staff from helping patients with other needs, like cancer treatments. I (somehow) got Omicron a few weeks ago, it was basically nothing, it lasted about a day of flu-like symptoms. I hope all the future COVID variants are weaker than even what I got.

[theqoo] FROZEN MUSICAL CHOSE A BLACK ACTOR FOR THE ROLE OF KRISTOFF
Solfa replied to Aegyo's topic in Netizen Nation
This is a pretty widespread practice in theater though. Theater is not meant to be consumed like movies or tv show or music videos, all musical actors need is acting skills and good pipes. People will watch them on a stage from far away, so as long as blend into their role right, they don't even need to be the same gender as the character they are playing, let alone race. There is a lot of flexibility in this medium, but on screen? Video killed the radio star. Screen acts must look a certain way according to both producers and viewers, because that's where the money is. Western pop stars must look racially ambiguous yet white passing regardless of their background, Kpop stars must look perfectly beautiful regardless of skill level, CW actors must be good looking regardless of acting and writing etc. Movies like the live-action The Little Mermaid are only testing the waters (no pun intended) to see if there is a significant money-making audience from people who don't mind movies to cast like theaters. The movie is expected to be successful because it is based on a very popular Disney IP, but if it exceeds expectations, rest assured we're going to have a new trend in the future. If it's not as successful as they want, well, nostalgia fans will still pay to see, the live-action remakes have always made money anyway. -
This dentists says a lot of examples of what influencers call veneers are done by bad dentists, because a good one would not call them veneers at all, but crowns, as the amount of shaving for teeth is comparable to that done for root canals. Veneers are meant for small fixes, not the whole mouth.

Her use of filters is nowhere near as drastic as the one I use in my own photos, that’s a punch to me, ouch. I’m glad she revealed her real face though, it goes to show even perfectly pretty people like her have self-esteem issues. Also, let’s not pretend little fixes like this have not boosted her career. For everyone who says “why did you do this, love yourself” or some other motivational quote, there is a thousand other users who might not say it out loud, but much prefer to be subscribed to someone whose looks are altered like that. That’s how idols’ careers are as well. It’s not enough to be pretty, they are expected to be perfect.

There are multiple ways to expand eyes surgically without touching the eyelid, cutting inner and outer corners for example. I think she only did her inner corner though, the outer part is makeup. Or at least, the inner corner made the biggest difference. However, she also slimmed down her face, which also contributed into making her eyes look bigger. Her PS is very natural looking, one of the best in the industry for sure. She emphasized her beauty instead of changing it, I really like that.

I wouldn’t single out IVE, female idols in general look shorter now on average than older gens, it seems to be an industry wise thing to give them higher official numbers for their height. Seeya here, for example (warning, flashing lights, one of the dancers even has a seizure), vary between 162-167 cm, yet they look much taller than 4 gen idols of the same measurements. Same variations with Wonder Girls here, who also look taller than idols of their measurements today

Finally I have found a name for the procedure that gives the pulled skin effect Irene must have done to her face: literal skin pull. Fillers have never convinced me as enough to explain her transformation, but now I have discovered a new procedure, I must share with you:

Facebook announces it will be changing its name to Meta.
Solfa replied to Mrs. Morale's topic in Current News & Events
It’s nothing that affects the users. They are just creating a parent company for all their brands, the way Alphabet is for Google. So, Meta is the parent company Facebook, Instagram, and Whatsapp. -
The Crown. Acting, cinematography, costuming, the sheer scale of the whole thing, everything adds up into a masterpiece.

Eyes are the obvious ones, she does not have quite the Hyewon stare^TM, but she still has a kind of stare caused from excessive surgery. But if you need her baby pic, you can check that too to get a clearer idea what she has done: crease deepening, inner eye corner fixed, and aegyo sal. Standard idol surgery really. Agree that she is very pretty.

I have noticed Seohyun's cheeks changing because I loved Seohyun's cheeks and they just aren't there anymore. She has tried to fill them since she has lost too much muscle over time, because extensive fillers can actually do that. So she is stuck in in a cycle, fill them, weaken the skin and muscles, fill them more to make up for the weakened skin elasticity and muscle.
