  1. I promised myself I wasn't going to watch another series of Pd101 because it's too painful but here I am. I'm really liking the show so far and the skill level of all the girls is way better than I was expecting. My current faves are Wang Ting, Gao Yingxi, Wu Qianying, Yamy, Fu Jing, Winnie and Lucia plus my Wjsn girlie's.
  2. My Loona resolutions are pretty conservative because groups rarely shoot to stardom right out of the gate but what I hope for them is: 1) Girls 11 and 12 debut with awesome songs and are welcomed happily into the loona family. 2) Heejin and Hyunjin achieve what they want to in Mixnine and are happy whether they debut in the final group or not. 3) Mixnine helps to boost their domestic fandom so the girls feel supported and loved. 4) Their debut song is fun and quirky and they have fun performing. 5) Their debut album sells in the 5-10k range or higher. 6) They get to appear on some variety shows. 7) BBC produces a Loona dorm reality show. 8) BBC explains the lore. 9) The girls and staff continue to be healthy and content. 10) They receive at least one nomination for a Rookie award. 11) They get to attend an end of year awards ceremony. 12) We get a cool fandom name.
  3. Happy New Year everybody!! As a gift (and also because I finally remembered it) I've updated my Loona Casette Covers pdf to include more accurate colours and covers for Choerry, Yves and Chuu. If printed on A4 paper at 100% scale these will fit any standard audio casette. https://www.dropbox.com/s/vzi25gqxh7231bs/vivi%20casette.pdf?dl=0
  4. I never said Adam created Eve, I said Eve was created from Adam which is true.
  5. 'A new Eden Yves made' I'm beginning to think I'm right and the use of the masculine Yves really is to evoke a mixture of Adam and Eve- an Eve who is both masculine and feminine though mostly the second (from all of the creativity and awareness Blockberry have always shown I have a very hard time believing that they didn't know Yves was a masculine name) Blockberry are positioning their Yves as the creator of Eden bypassing the man the original Eve was formed from. In the bible Eve was created from Adam's rib-a secondary derivative of him- but Blockberry's Yves appropriates the masculine to become the first and only; an Eve in possession of ultimate power over her surroundings, and freedom from definition only in comparison to Adam i.e: Adam and Eve. Yves stands on her own. Blockberry thus seems to rewrite the creation of Eden as a moment of female ingenuity instead of as a moment of feminine blame. They also open the door for a world that was created from the ground up by women and women only; Loona's Loonaverse. Honestly, I could take this far further and say that this combined with the use of Chaotic (originally 8x8x8's debut track) as a Loona BSIDE is all about saying that Girl Groups (and Loona) in particular can be better than any boy group, or at least should be able to stand on their own without negitive comparisons, because they can take anything a man can do and do it better. Yves doesn't need an Adam because she has more power on her own.
  6. Ok now that I've thought about it it could still make sense for Twice cover Ha Sooyoung to be our Yves if she was an unsigned trainee for Loonation. I've always had my doubts that all 50 trainees involved with Loonation would be signed BBC trainees simply because that's a ridiculous amount of trainees to take on at a time. It would be much more logical that those 50 girls were either Polaris trainees, independent trainees they collected at audition without signing or academy students. Sooyoung could have been simultaneously training at Dpop and auditioning through Loonation. The congratulations message posted by the academy would have therefore been when she was confirmed as a Loona member (or just after). This accounts for the overlap in timing. Her academy then said she had been signed to Polaris simply because BBC would be too much of a giveaway.
  7. The vocal academy that posted the Twice cover video also posted a congratulations to the girl passing a Polaris audition on October 25th of this year
  8. https://www.facebook.com/dreamvocalgn/videos/vb.390159914429074/849540455157682/?type=2&theater Confirmation that Taeyeon girl is not Yves as this is her here Her name is Park Jiwon as far as I can figure out
  9. Yeah pretty sure we all got majorly catfished and that wasn't her. It seems logically impossible to me that a girl could pass a Polaris audition 18 days ago and already be a Loona member.
  10. Here have some HD stills. I do think there are noticeable differences but it could be accounted for by lighting, minimal makeup (and jaw surgery) Yup
  11. Long time no see, but someone got a clearer streamable of the singing vid and it doesn't look very much like Yves. https://streamable.com/f03qa Maybe don't get too excited
  12. We do know how long ago it was, there's a date at the end of the video: June 2016
  13. I missed the stream yesterday because I was trying to spot Loona in Mixnine's showcase, does anyone know if there is an upload anywhere since I can't find one and it hasn't been reuploaded on vapp. I only got to see Good Day, Ace and Hyunjoo yesterday and there were so many other auditions I was looking forward to.
  14. I started watching this morning finally and holy hell am I impressed. I'm at episode 9 at the moment and I'm still in awe of how well this drama is tackling serious topics. That was definitely not something I expected going in to it. I've also got to give cred to all of the main cast for their fantastic acting. I wasn't sure what to expect of them since they were selected by SNS but they're all so good. There's none of the overacting I've seen on other idol dramas and the emotions of the characters are displayed so well through the girls body language. That kind of subtlety, where expression is allowed to tell the story more than speech is rare. I also really appreciate how real all of the girls feel, the script has allowed them to be bitchy and selfish and complex and yet still sympathetic, these are characteristics the public rarely allows idols to show.
  15. I've spent my day watching [email protected] to get a feel for the girls competing and wow Yukika is literally the cutest human being alive. I now really hope she makes the final lineup.
  16. Looks like all of the girls will be appearing in the YG survival show Mixnine: And I think this is Hyeju but I could be wrong:
  17. I'm slowly identifying all of the girls from HIGHTEEN and here is Eunjin: number 178 is definitely Se-A and number 347 is Hyebin: And I'm pretty sure 43 is Hyeju (though of the 4 she's the one I'm least confident on)
  18. Pretty sure 178 is SeA from HIGHTEEN although since no one else seems to have noticed I'm a little hesitant to say it's definitely her:
  19. I did a little research on the constellation theory (and by a little I mean I looked up every known constellation one by one to find one that looked similar) and found Grus to be the most similar: If it is actually a reference to Grus her animal would be a Crane but I couldn't find a constellation match exact enough for me to put much faith in the theory.
  20. It's pronounced like Choi-ri with the Choi sound as either a Chweh or a Choo-eh sort of sound. Sort of (but not quite) like Chwerry
