  1. Those are two different guys! The one on the right is a BNM trainee for sure but the one on the left seems to be a model. Reverse image search of the Pikachu photo brings up the Instagram of model Kim Kangmin, who posted it last month. https://instagram.com/p/BUhKUp9AdmE/ He is signed to LSAC Model Management so I'm not sure why that account is saying he's a BNM trainee, maybe because this random tweet from a k-fan called him Yoon Jaehee? Who we know is a trainee and who I'm pretty sure is the guy in the screencap on the right. But since the official profile for Kangmin says he is 188cm, he's definitely not Jaehee / the screencapped guy because that guy is a lot shorter, similar in height to Woojin and Daehwi. From left to right, although they are not all in one row, Youngmin (181cm), Daehwi (172cm), Kanto (181cm), mystery trainee / possibly Jaehee / not Kangmin (<<<<<188cm lol), and Woojin (174cm). I think Jaehee is also the same one who was in the MC Gree music video + live stages for Dangerous... source He looks younger and kinda different in those compared to the Brand New Year performances but so does Woojin imo, and there were a couple of months in between those two events. Or maybe I'm face blind haha. Screencap again for reference! According to his official Twitter (I think all of these are run by BNM?) Jaehee's birthday is July 5, 1996 so he is second-oldest after Youngmin. Basically after I learned of his and Myunghoon's names, I searched online and one of those weird Twitter tracker websites linked an account with his name (@960705com) to other accounts with similar handles reflecting the birthdays of the four guys who were sent to PD101 (@951225com @980917com @991102com @010129com) because most of them were following one another. The account is locked now (maybe to keep the hidden trainees....hidden lmao) and is no longer followed by the other four, but is still following all of them back, plus Myunghoon (@970410) and other BNM accounts. Anyways speaking of Myunghoon! He is the same guy who we've already seen in Rhymer's IG~ He was a backup dancer for Kanto's Lonely too, the same song that the others were dancers for at Brand New Year 2016. And a screenshot of the accounts his is following... It's all speculation on my end that the accounts are "official", but what convinced me was when I remembered that the Woojin one had previously published really high-quality, fansite-level photos of him at Brand New Year 2016, when all of them were still nugu. It's this tweet, which I shared on page 2 of this thread before! Click here to view the Tweet The Daehwi one has also published similar photos of him at that event. So yeah, that's why I think the accounts are being run by BNM? Plus all of them were created in January 2017, except for Myunghoon's which was made later in March 2017. Which brings me to... We can use that Twitter handle format to figure out who the seventh trainee is! Kinda. The OP said he goes to Hanlim so he's either 99-, 00-, or 01-line, but I guess maybe Daehwi called him hyung or something so that must mean he is 99-line? Since Daehwi is an early-ish 01-liner and classmates with 00-liners. Anyways I only brute forced this for 1999 birthdays and can't be bothered to try it for 2000 birthdays, so my best guess for the Bogum lookalike's birthday is July 31, 1999 or @990731com. The account is locked, is only following 1 Account, has only 4 Likes, has no display name other than 990731com (to really keep him a secret I guess) and also joined in January 2017, the same time the accounts of the other BNM trainees were created. @990223com is another contender but since it was created way earlier in February 2016, I think the former is more likely. Don't make fun of me for clicking through 365 different URLs! I have one of those obsessive personality types if it wasn't obvious already, that's partially why I try to refrain from commenting on forums too much because I'd become a really unproductive member of society otherwise haha. Anyways, idk if that was interesting since it's not a name and only a birthday, but it's a start? If the group is missing a 00-liner and can't be a clean sweep of 1995-2001, I hope this seventh guy's family name is different haha. Im, Yoon, Jung, Kim, Park, Lee...last guy please don't be any of these! I think BAP might be the current largest group (six people) that has different family names for all the members lol, Beast too before Hyunseung left. They probably all live in the same dorm together, but maybe BNM doesn't want to reveal them to the public yet so Donghyun wasn't allowed to acknowledge their existence in the V Live? Do you remember/know his exact word choice? Maybe he was sneaky about it and said he was lonely instead of alone, I dunno haha.
  2. I'm not a Jihoon stan but this is well-written. The message isn't just about PD101 either, it's very applicable to real life as a whole too. But many people seem to be missing the point? Not really sure how to further elaborate without inadvertently shaming people for being inexperienced/young or stanning trainees who were given strong, cohesive storylines so I guess this comment will just end here...
  3. Was just abouut to ask why Gwanghyun is 팡 in YoungDongPoPang but realized it's because of the same reasoning that makes Guanlin become Panlin (ê´€ to íŒ). On a related note, remember that not-really-a-spoiler thing from last week that referred to Jisung as êµ¥? I realized it's literally his family name 윤 flipped upside down hahaha. Felt like that was important to share, Korean nicknames are the best and Hangul is freaking amazing.
  4. Hello hi long time no post, its 2:30am here & im nervous & cant sleep so apologies in adv for typos and also for any overdue replies to ppl i suck srry (real life had been kickin my ass whoops). Was debating whether to ramble in this thread or the BNM one but at the end of the day ym and his stupid winking in the eye contact vid is the reason why i became a hardcore instead of casual broduce viewer and fell for all the BNM boys early on so this feels like the most appropriate place to let all my feels out haha. Will only be able to stream the first 50 minutes, still not sure if i will suffer through the raw when i get back home or if my resolve will weaken and i will check my phone for the final 11 asap. Somehow it feels wrong to do the latter, like it defeats the purpose of me dragging my ass out of bed at the crack of dawn for the past 11 weeks to stream? Ahh i dunno im scared ;____; But i believe that ym will find a way to achieve his dreams, regardless of w/e results we get in the next few hours. PD101 isnt necessarily abt making it into the final group anyways, as long as he has made new friends, gotten his name out there, gained stage experience, become even more passionate about his chosen career path, come out as a stronger person who knows that he has inspired others and is adored, then its alllll goooooood. Hopefully he feels that way too! Mmmmm and i just wanted to thank everyone in this thread, you guys have been the best, really. We may not have taken off until the hate bandwagon started but this thread has been such a comforting safe space. For ranting, for words of encouragement, for updates on how the korean side of things was panning out, for sharing our worries about his mental health and debut prospects, etc. I really appreciated all of it huhu. All the general fangirl stuff too ofc. Will be avoiding OH until after i finish the raw in like 15 hours from now. See y'all on the flip side!!!!!!
  5. Tfw I go to bed early for once to be well-rested for ep10 at 7am (my local time) but my body decides to wake up at 5am instead OTL Don't think I can fall asleep again, will just try to work on stuff until the show starts. Also can't decide if I should get to work super early and stream the entire thing from there, or only stream the first part from home. Youngmin will probably get called up early if he's ranked in the teens, Daehwi and Woojin will get called late but they're safe so idc about missing that, and I've accepted that Donghyun is getting eliminated. My original hopes were for everyone to reach 35 Boys 5 Concepts and they did so I'm happy that he was able to make it this far~ I know this is impossible barring a huge plot twist but I still don't want any of them to make male IOI. They already got the publicity and predebut fans they needed, they don't need BOI/YMC tbh, it might even be detrimental if the contracts really are exclusive and for 2 years instead of 1.5 years. Let the lone trainees from nugu companies have those spots. Brand New should just ride the hype and debut the boy group not long after the show ends, it's not like they are lacking in resources?? Money, connections, in-house producers....no risk of something polarizing like Dream Girls or "graphic design is my passion" level work. Plus our fandom would be way less toxic than the BOI fandom, which would be full of fakes who were gross towards Daehwi and Youngmin (among others) before. Since Mnet has been so messy I want to believe this can happen. Something crazy like none of the BNM or Nu'est guys making it and returning to their respective companies right away as part of the master plan from the very beginning...
  6. I'm a 94-liner, 14 months older than him~ I feel like we're all girls....are there any guys here? A poll would be cool! I don't think OP is that active in the thread or OH in general though. She's the OP of several PD101 trainee threads and I remember her asking the Tip Toe Oppa thread if anyone wants to take over since she's busy now. If anyone wants to be our new OP I wouldn't mind, I think you'd either have to get permission from her or ask mods to make you OP once her account reaches two months of inactivity.
  7. Still not enough Youngmin shots tbh. At least Yongguk wasn't paid dust this time? They all did well! Also finally caught up with the main thread. What is Mnet doing...
  8. Youngmin with black hair has me even more head over heels, how is this possible. I'm so glad that I decided to catch up on all the Eye Contact Fight videos I had originally skipped and found him. I still remember watching his on my phone in bed in the dark (bad habit, I know) and thinking "Omg this guy has really long teeth" and then supressing a scream when he winked and thinking "This little shit- is hella cute what's his name again" hahaha, Im Youngmin ilysm <3 Throwback to a simpler time~
  9. Ahh sorry for leaving you hanging, I turned off notifications for another thread last week and just realized that I accidentally did for this one too. But wow, thanks! I feel the same way about your posts Woojin joining the ~fancy~ chair club I'm gonna shed a tear. It will happen this Friday! I believe!! And yes Donghyun is the actual best, I'm glad that people are finally coming to their senses thanks to Punch King. If he doesn't make it to final 22, I won't be too sad because he still got to reach final 35 and record his first official song (which he did! so! great! on! yay!) and I'm sure he is happy with that accomplishment too and realizes that it was the lack of screentime that held him back, not himself. Donghyun is a dreamboat in the making tbh, in a couple more years he is going to be absolutely unstoppable I can't wait to die Which girl are you referring to? Majority of the spoilers I've seen have Youngmin at 17-20, and I personally think he will be a little higher than that. It might be good if he is ranked low though, the people who left and are coming back now may feel guilty and work harder to get him votes. Taking the benefit away is too harsh, I think he'll just get last pick for the final stage but there are also not that many rappers left so it may not even make a difference. If he gets to sing though, that would be nice. I like his singing based on the 5 seconds we've heard so far lol.
  10. No he wouldn't have! Woojin was ranked 75 at the end of ep2 but the BNM evaluation in that episode was enough for him to jump up to 38 at the end of ep3, right behind Donghyun at 35. He was already safe from the first elimination before 10 out of 10 was broadcast and fancams were released. Companies will definitely try to poach trainees but Daehyun has already said that OUI is going to debut him, Donghan, and Sungwook.
  11. The guy in the third pic is Yoon Jaehee (윤재í¬) and he's actually 96-line lol. Maknae is still Daehwi! The guy in the second pic is Jung Myunghoon (ì •ëª…í›ˆ) and he's 97-line. I keep on saying that I'll make a post about them in the BRANDNEWBOYS thread but I'm a flop haha. So far I only have their Twitter accounts and lots of screencaps from various BNM performances...if anyone else wants to help find out more about them then hmu let's play some CSI :D Edit: Added hangul because romanization is not very useful in this situation. Still think "hee" is a better representation than "hui" though~ Edit2: Went back to check the "official" Twitters and BNM is really trying to keep them hidden I think? The accounts all used to follow each other so it was kinda obvious but Jaehee and Myunghoon have been unfollowed. I'm so stressed I just want the BNM boy group to debut right now I don't wanna wait until freaking 2019 ;_____;
  12. Thanks! I totally missed that the first time. Hehe I hope it's the reason too, I find it amusing that Donghyun has an actual fraternal twin (Taehyun) plus another work twin (MC Gree) not to mention the belated ship with Kim Donghan and IKYK having 3Dong which includes...Kim Taedong!!
  13. Lost my quotes OTL @pinayaussie - I've seen Kim Dingdong being used on the subreddit too, I think it's a widespread i-fan thing now? The nickname first came from Twitter iirc, and the good sis Betrayal posted the tweet here and made fetch happen lol. Makes sense because this thread has hundreds of readers, plus the timing coincided with his Punch King antics! @Animeuver - I refuse to believe Kwon Skitty is gone too, I like the theory you and moon gin had about Mnet punking us. Last round of elims I wondered if Woo Jinyoung being spotted outside was on purpose too; it turned out he was really eliminated but if I worked at Mnet I would have learned from that and released danger-zone trainees into the wild for maximum surprise factor during ep10. Hyunbin has a strong individual fanbase so I think he could have made it, a redeeming storyline in ep9 (foreshadow!), plus he left late with Taedong (maybe Taedong is meant to throw us off?) and the YG K+ van was spotted at Paju. Unless everyone has been bullshitting us lol. But for now I'm going to cling to the rumor that has both Yongguk and Hyunbin safe at 23 and 24~
  14. Did she explain why? (I can't find the post you're talking about) Is it because MC Gree is another 98-line Kim Donghyun in Brand New Me neither! It's really sloppy (did he even try with that last line) but I got over it in two seconds and find it endearing now (sideyes self). His fansign post-it notes are going to be quite a challenge to decipher aren't they haha.
  15. First these kids go from dragging Daehwi to praising him to high heaven, now they do a similar 360 with Youngmin, someone find me that gif of Youngmin flopping his arms forward from his interview after center evals because that's the least offensive way to describe how I feel about these SNAKES!!!! young, easily impressionable teens Haha, but at least they're coming around, and just in time for the final round of voting too. If all these controversies had popped up a week later than they did, he would really have no hope of making the final group and there wouldn't have been enough remaining episodes to salvage his reputation. So on the bright side, the timing wasn't....worse? I'm actually a fairly pessimistic person, can't believe Youngmin has got me reaching for the silver lining 24/7 now lmao. I think he survived third elims, probably out of the top 11 but still hanging in the early teens, my reasoning being that Yeunjung comparison I posted here a few days ago. And hey, even if he has a big drop, he won't be the only one because two-pick definitely shook things up, so the people who don't like him anyways will be preoccupied with their own faves' rankings instead of gloating over his. Might even trigger panic voting from the people who had previously dropped him and regret it now? The 주ì¸ê³µ of my life for the past two months have been Fridays, this is v sad n pathetic
  16. "You're kicked. You can't talk bad about other trainees." Lol jk. Moonbok holds his own just fine though? And they may have needed a rapper? He is also the lowest-ranked trainee who switched teams, if that makes the theory more plausible. Let me live, I just want to believe that Open It chose Youngmin and welcomed him with open (hehe) arms instead of him getting unceremoniously booted from Never ;n;
  17. She uploaded the full stage to Vimeo :D 170528 I Know You Know Rehearsal https://vimeo.com/219890729 Donghyun did amazing!! I tend to worry for him since dancing doesn't seem to come naturally to him (what he shows us on stage is the result of an enormous amount of effort on his part, not inborn talent or cultivated skill, although tbf I'm really critical about dancing in general) but he is hitting all the choreo perfectly and there is an extra bounce in his step, I love it <3 That almost sounded like a bash, I think, but it isn't haha. His hard work is very admirable and I'm glad that he was able to catch the eye of non-fans in the live audience. This song/concept is so perfect for him yayayay 15.5+ hours until more people start waking up and appreciating him~
  18. Oh mess, off to backtrack. Ready to keep my mouth shut and throw 10 wons at people then This thread is my new home hehe
  19. Reported. Hope that user enjoys the warning points. I actually never reported anybody on OH until PD101 lol, first with Daehwi and now with Youngmin. Also don't stress if it takes them a while to lock it, I think it has more to do with how many mods are online/available at the time, not how many reports come in. But I left a post in there anyways, just to end the thread on a good note if anyone else stumbles upon it. Even if it only changes on person's mind about him, that's good enough :3 Yeah. Even before the "scandals" started popping out, I already saw people on the subreddit upset that he was ranked so high. Now most users there treat the whole thing as a joke, "oh yes, ready for my daily dose of Youngmin controversy"........... I think Playing With Fire played a big part in helping i-fans come around to Daehwi (with k-fans I believe it was the eliminations in the episode prior to that, because of how maturely he spoke). Hopefully this week Open It will do that for Youngmin? Also keen to see how he was moved from Never to Open It; if he voluntarily left then that could really support him in regards to the whole "communicating his preference to fans" issue.
  20. Yes, here is the thread I made for it too, just in case the users who think "Youngmin gets brought up here too much" do not want to see any discussion about this in the main thread......................... I don't think it has ever been directly brought up in here before, but it is definitely one of the things that fans of other trainees have been upset about recently and I believe a few users here who regularly browse Korean sites like Animeuver have hinted at it before (with disclaimers! & I am just using her as an example btw, just to be clear this is not supposed to be some weird passive-aggressive callin out shiz okay haha)
  21. Loool. I'm pretty sure his part starts at 0:47 too. He sounds good!! And sorry for reminding you. It's okay, it's still 10 days away, maybe things will be looking up by then? *delulu alert* Because I've been thinking.... Youngmin has negative comments on Naver that have ~4k upvotes now, but didn't Yeunjung have upwards of 7k upvotes on hers? Plus her "attitude controversy" was broadcast on TV, so it reached pretty much everyone watching the show, whereas Youngmin's mess has all happened offscreen (so far, depends on how ep9 or ep10 goes I guess). There are also way more voters this season than last, so while ~4k upvotes seems really scary, in terms of the proportion of voters who are reacting negatively, it's not as bad of a situation as Yeunjung was in?? I dunno Also I posted the clarification to Netizen Nation and am scared of how people will react. Please support! https://onehallyu.com/topic/525019-full-clarification-on-im-youngmins-open-chat-room/
  22. I'm never here when this thread is alive! Are most of you in Asia or Oceania? Good timezones to be in! I'm in California so can never stream the entire episode because I need to leave for work (11pm KST = 7am PDT), but I'm thinking for third elims next Friday I'll get to work super early and secretly stream at my desk because I'm scared about Paca's rank. Also wanted to take the day off for the finale since it's actually live, but I'll be starting a hospital externship that week and can't ;n; @ biaswrckers - yes I have the same problem with Naver videos too, sometimes it's just black with the audio, but sometimes it also works just fine? Not sure why since I never change anything, and I also use Chrome like you... @ everyone - that long clarification post got translated! Click here to view the Tweet
  23. It's not nonsense, I completely agree with everything you said! Yeah, multiple companies may have had all their trainees reach the final 35, but your point about BNM boys being the true winners still makes sense because they started the show with zero preexisting fans, and unlike the byeongari twins they don't need any more incubating and can debut right away. Clarifying in case of lurkers that I don't think the other trainees haven't gained anything, just that in my eyes what the BNM kids have gained is more impressive + immediately beneficial considering their circumstances haha. Is it just me or does anyone else get mixed up between this thread and the Youngmin thread? I never confuse the Donghyun, Woojin, or Daehwi threads with this one but the vibe of the Youngmin thread is really similar to in here. Anyways, here are some of the best BNM moments from ep8 Click here to view the Tweet Click here to view the Tweet Click here to view the Tweet
