  1. In Hobi's fancam he literally kisses the back of his head lmfao. Around 2:59? EDIT: Also, Jimin has never pinged me harder than he did in the performance for BST... he was, as they say, feelin' his oats.
  2. I kind of feel like he's talking about the producers and not BTS... BTS paid for the track, it's on the producers to check with each other to make sure they're not re-selling the track. I think he's saying instead of going to Tricky to go to Spanker. It may be slightly shady to BTS but I think the heavy shade is for Tricky. Just my read of it, anyway.
  3. http://onehallyu.com/topic/402588-instiz-btss-ideal-types/ yet again suga's the only one who keeps those pronouns neutral HMMM
  4. I rarely even see gayness being broached as a possibility for an idol so for there to be two comments on that Heechul NB thread seems like a big deal? Not even taking that gifset posted earlier into account.
  5. Hi y'all, unlurking for this thread. Just wanted to ask- what do you guys think the musical direction of the first single will be? My guess is midtempo pop like INU, but maybe with a more house/electro sound a la Save me.
  6. Re: Wonho, it's not just the butt tattoo, it's the thigh and foot tattoos too. Those are all just like, stereotypically gay thot places to get tattoos tbh.
  7. That is some Inquirer blurry Big Foot realness... did the one blob rest his head on the other blob's shoulder?
  8. I read an article by a lesbian who lived in Seoul and was active in the lesbian scene and she said that it was pretty common for her Korean friends to be physically affectionate with their girlfriends in public including full on kisses on the mouth, all while comfortably closeted because people were so willfully obtuse about them being an actual honest to god couple. However taking photos at lesbian clubs or events was very much banned because being seen at a lesbian bar was removing any actual plausible deniability, and could get you fired, evicted, etc. All of this to say that the "Koreans are very physically affectionate thing" is 100% a thing gay people in Korea use to camoflage themselves and is a pretty silly reason to assume it means that someone is for sure straight.
  9. I think Jimin is gay and I buy that V had an unrequited crush on J-Hope but probably identifies as straight.
  10. ngl I have been refreshing oh for 2 days specifically to post this
  11. I too, in times of struggle, grab my own titty for protection.
  12. Looot of people here seem pretty uneducated about what homophobia vs biphobia means. Bi people can be victims of homophobia. Biphobia is specifically regarding those things that are unique to bi people ie "just pick one" comments, saying bi people cheat more, etc. If a bi person is with their same-gender SO and they get bashed it's not suddenly biphobia just because one of them is bi.
  13. Ah fuck, I've been crying on and off all day. Thanks for linking this so I can cry about something happy instead.
  14. this thread is for people to speculate on who's gay so obviously we're not going to sit down and list every single person we think is probably straight. that's not the point. there's plenty of idols who have never been mentioned in the thread because presumably they don't ping for people. the people that ARE mentioned here will inevitably be brought up in the context of gayness or bisexuality. that's literally the point of the thread.
  15. there's plenty of posts in this thread where people state they think whoever is straight or bi... so clearly no
  16. jimin in the baepsae dance practice specifically moved close to yoongi to do those pelvic thrusts...
  17. Entertainment and art industries tend to disproportionately attract LGBT people in general, it wouldn't surprise me if that trend was true in Korea too.
  18. Dispatch seems to be a little bit more ethical than western paps... To a degree, anyway. They're still vultures but they seem to have a few hard lines they refuse to cross. For example I don't think they'd out somebody, though of course maybe I'm just an optimist lol. There's a really excellent episode of Radiolab about Dispatch's history, here: http://www.radiolab.org/story/kpoparazzi/
  19. before i watch this... is it gonna hurt my feelings edit: i watched it and my feelings were only a little hurt. better than i expected
  20. Even the way he's checking him out is kind of queeny. I live.
  21. This is only semi-OT but I just wanted to appreciate this thread for being one of the only places in fandom that's not super alienating and frustrating as an LGBT kpop fan. Seems like everywhere else, wanting to relate to idols on that level is akin to hoping their careers fail. When it's not idols and fans being overtly homophobic, it's being told you're projecting or fucked up for wanting to relate to your faves on that level... like because Korea is a homophobic place, wanting your faves to be like you in some way is wishing ill on them and their careers. Like, I get it. Korea's conservative. Of course I don't want my faves to be outed and lose their careers. That doesn't mean there aren't gay idols and that it's wrong for their gay fans to relate to them. Sorry to not add anything exciting to the conversation but I just wanted to rant and say I appreciate y'all.
