Hello it's been awhile Ahhh just came to say Red Velvet are amazing in person Their charisma, their stage presence, their everything omg I was in the GA area and omg they were all so much prettier in real life and Bad Boy English Version had everyone screamingg The crowd singing along was pretty loud too! It was amazing I'm shocked that I survived seeing them in real life. Especially with really nice outfits. I hope they come back again sometime and I hope we get a studio version of that Bad Boy English Version! I need to repeat it forever

Now that Red Velvet have gone back to Korea I hope they filmed and did photo shoots and other activities that Avex can release to keep up the hype while they aren’t in the country. They’re doing a sales event on July 22nd determined by lottery, which is unexpected to me since Avex/SM combo don’t usually do events. They’re also doing a promo for pre-ordering the album at the venues for their tour which will not boost sales on Oricon that much because Oricon has this weird rule where if you buy at non-Oricon vendors (like buying the album at a concert venue) they will only count 30% of the sales towards Oricon

Yeah still wouldn't expect much, in today's pre-order rankings the album dropped to 7 and 10 on tower records and HMV respectively Avex should be building up hype until release (should've been building up hype for months tbh) but it's looking like radio silence until the hall tour. Also, Red Velvet being booked in other countries right after the release of the mini gives me little hope for any sort of promotion for this debut. At least with the announcement of the album and title now means there is a very high chance #Cookie Jar will be performed during the Hall Tour

I actually just checked with a friend and she translated the circled as listens, and 182 Million listens lines up with how much i'd expect the total to be if you add up the top 100's streams. So I'm pretty sure it's streams I was surprised that most title tracks have lower streams on Xiami than Spotify (with Rookie being the big exception) but than i remembered that Xiami isn't the biggest music service in China.

I was looking at Xiami because i was curious about how Red Velvet does in China (and SM has an exclusive contract with Xiami) and I realized they show a number next to each song.
