It doesn’t really hurt their korean numbers though, the most it’ll hurt is their ability to win music shows but they’ll probably mostly be promoting at actual award shows (since it’s basically December) Their brand name is big enough to get people to listen to them when it’s released, it’s not like there’s any “good†time where Koreans choose to find new music or anything. You can say competition is fierce but we knew that about November. I’m just glad they’re a week after Wanna One so it’s not direct competition Anyway as long as SM isnt dumb enough to pull them out of Korean promotions for American promotions (imo they’ll just wait for the tour for any American media appearances) I’m fine with it

The Friday release looks like a push for billboard since the charting week is Friday-Thursday. Anyway it’s likely to be 1 version, SM has already started preorders on sites like Synnara and DeepDiscount and they have never changed the amount of versions once preorders began. Maybe multiple random covers but probably not different versions. I will be on the look out for more US preorder sites. Weird that the news mentions US amazon but I’ve been unable to find an official link

Red Velvet Baidu Bars have begun preorders and have collected 1,567 orders Ktown4u total sales: 442 Total: 2,009 I think Hanteo sales may see a small fall this comeback, they are have localized sales in the US, and I already know 1 store counts for Gaon and Billboard but not Hanteo. I think they’re aiming for a decent billboard debut so I’ll be buying off some the sites that count for billboard (it’s cheaper for me too)

Anyway random but SM always puts their promoted B-side as the 2nd song of the track list (public usually just goes down the tracklist that’s why generally for sales they get worse going down), but for Summer Magic no.2 is Christmas in Summer, a slower song and the only song that wasn’t performed at redmare it’s a curious situation

RV’s Chinese fans almost exclusively use Synnara for their big bulk orders. They like to post proof shots like this during release Click here to view the Tweet But yeah, K-fans will always order more than int-fans (and this isn’t even all int fans) so...it’s definitely much more than this

And they didn’t write Cookie Jar btw, the only other song they wrote for Red Velvet is Peek-a-boo. Kenzie also worked on Peek-a-boo too. Also for someone who seems super concerned about charts you don’t really know much about it. Gaon only reports rankings Weekly and numbers + rankings Monthly and both versions of the album will be released in the same week. Hanteo is daily, but music shows only care about weekly too. RV outsell SKZ if you’re right about 77k, even TPRV, a repack, has over 90k on Gaon. Anyway it’s good if Red Velvet are successful but it’s not the end of the world if they’re not. This doomsday talk before the song is even out is kinda bizarre and I’m one of people who constantly update their charts thread.

That’s more on the lyricist (in PAB’s case Kenzie) than the composers Personally I’m wary since PAB isn’t my favorite title track, it has a weak chorus which I feel is the opposite of RF whose chorus was the main part. But one song doesn’t make the team and I do trust SM’s taste, theyre really hyping this comeback so I want to believe in them. Anyway Ellen Berg also wrote Time To Love which I know was a fan favorite here

SM True is SM’s Thai branch so yes that’s legit it came straight from their Facebook. Before anyone gets fooled by google, Capacity is 3.5k-3.9k seats, but I believe if you include standing it goes up to close to 5k according to Thai fans. Depends I think, recently it’s been the one by one thing. Could’ve at least called REDMARE a tour so we know which regions they’re hitting...

They did Irene so dirty with the dance break outfit, at least fit the outfit if you have to reuse someone's old one. She looks extra small with it on. But they did let her do Lo Siento with Super Junior so I'm happy It's literally her dance solo for Be Natural at Red Room lol Which i always thought the choreographers for each solo portion of that could have done better. Tbh if they wanted to drop Greedy for a dance break, should've just done their predebut Be Natural choreography, but theyre probably on a time crunch an BN solos were performed recently

I think digital is much much harder to predict than physical, especially since we don’t know anything about the song from its title to the genre. While physical is all about the size of the fandom. I’m not expecting a huge jump in physical sales, although that’d be great, Red Velvet have always improved at their own rate and I’m fine with that. Music Show wins are definitely a frustration, this fandom isn’t the best in terms of streaming and voting, but we’re getting better. Hopefully they’re not trapped by another large boy group and get at least a week of wins. Whether they’re successful or not I’ll definitely still enjoy the comeback, but it’d definitely be a nice cherry on top to see them succeed

For the various Baidu bars, the highest should be PV which was 6,633 copies after 9 days of preorders. The Baidu Bar’s preorders for Summer Magic have already passed that in 2 days. Hopefully the preorder numbers keep rising, the total sold on Ktown4u is close to being higher than their current total sold for PV. The fandom definitely seemed to grow a lot internationally after Bad Boy, but the bulk of the sales will still come from k-fans (and we don’t really have an estimate on their preorders). Yeah sales will definitely depend on the amount of fan signs and special events, so hopefully SM has many planned. I think Summer Magic has potential to be their biggest comeback yet in terms of physical sales but I hate throwing too high expectations so just *fingers crossed* That’s a different kind of preorder though, SM saying 100k copies preordered means that’s how many albums they’re producing for stores. So it would reflect on Gaon, not Hanteo. Baidu/Ktown4u preorders would be reflected on Hanteo since they’re actual orders

Saw on the Baidu thread that they made a comparison with their preorders from Perfect Velvet era and Summer Magic passed PV’s total preorders in only 2 days.
