  1. That's nice to read. Though also bittersweet since according to that person the naver video for their MV is flooded with hate from the Koreans. Click here to view the Tweet Arrival at inkigayo. ETA: sorry wrong link
  2. Click here to view the Tweet How envious I am... I've been looping the 7th sense vid for a while. We're currently almost at 6,100,000 views. Just need 400,000 more in around a day.
  3. Yeah I've been sucking up songs from DEAN up to tide me over. I love that type of stuff. And you're welcome~ SIGH. Can't TY catch a break? Click here to view the Tweet
  4. I know! It's so good and I fell in love with them cause of it but I think this type of sound is not everyone's cup of tea. If you read this interview, the producer of the song says: "The one I'm looking forward to the most is the debut single for NCT called ì¼ê³± 번째 ê°ê° (The 7th Sense). I'm excited to see how this one does because it's very “Drake†— rap, but melodic at the same time. Everyone has told me for the last 3 years that dark, urban music can't be popular in Korea. But it's had a bit of a following recently with artists like DEAN, G.Soul, and Crush. There's been overwhelming support from international fans, but I'm still not 100% sold yet on the marketability within Korea. I personally love the song and I'm very happy with the final product, but I'm just to see how the Korean fans will react to this type of music, as a debut single for a new group, because it's definitely not “K-pop.â€" So international fans who expect the typical "k-pop" sound might not be into it. Some people even called it boring. It's such a good choreography, but my guess: it's a very taxing one that would compromise their ability to sing. Even with the current changed choreo they're still having difficulty having stable vocals since they're jumping around so much.
  5. It's adorable. He sounded so cheerful. Here's Jaehyun greeting in Japanese (at 2:58) for anyone who hasn't seen yet. His accent is cute. ETA: edited link format
  6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7h1sYiF5e4k Anyone else love how Taeyong speaks Japanese? He sounds like one of those cheery Japanese broadcasters. Nakamoto-sensei did a good job. Anyone know if he'll be in the Japanese subunit? I think his visuals would be appealing to the Japanese. One of the Japanese blog posts about him said he had a Nishikido Ryo vibe. Though maybe he won't be since rapping wouldn't be as appealing I don't think.
  7. I think our best course of action is just going the positive route and showing a lot of support for NCT as much as possible and just ignoring the hate. It will get old and eventually run its course hopefully (unless Taeyong does something else overly scandalous). There'll be pushback and labelling of "oppar shielders" if we try too hard in defending TY. There was someone on tumblr going on about TY being a "child of God" and that she'd defend him from the "work of the Devil." A bit much and not that reasonable. If we show enough love and they keep working and performing well, it'll overshadow the negativity eventually. In other news I showed my non-kpop friend this pic of TY, and she said 'Wow, he has a really pretty face." Oh yes he does
  8. Thank you! Forgive me if I make any formatting mistakes; I'm getting a handle on how things work here. Gosh he is so cute. I can barely get over how deadpan his expression is. So determined.
  9. Thank you! I'm not sure if it'll be emotionally healthy for me since I started feeling anxious this morning reading up on all the Taeyong-related mess, but I think it'll pay off in the end. I'm optimistic things will get better. It will be a long ass ride and it'll take lots of time and careful consideration on his part, but it can be done. Here's to their success. They're so talented and hard-working, they definitely deserve it.
  10. Hi I'm Janie! I've been out of kpop for a while but I fell in love after watching NCT's music videos, so I made an account just so I could spazz along with you guys. It's been so long since I've really been into an idol group. They've only debuted for less than two weeks and it's already been a bit of an emotional roller coaster, but having been a fan of DBSK (OT5), I'm quite used to it. Here's to NCT's success!
