Bad and crazy
And this fmv slaps.

I drop anything I don't like. Life is too short to waste time watching stuff you don't like. So, the fact I finished it is the rating itself.
Suyeol and K's chemistry and shenanigans were the best part. Cast had good camaraderie. Lots of funny moments. Touching moments too. Good concept. I found it grown up and relatable. I can't enjoy the same things I enjoyed 15 years ago. I am 32 now. I enjoy different genres now.

What happened in the Korean entertainment world in the last 2 years, 2022 and 2023.
Dramas, movies, entertainment shows, celebs, marriages, divorces, childbirths, fights, funny events, controversies, scandals, fights, lawsuits, tell me everything.
Catch me up, please.

Korean Food
in Food
If you could place videos, gifs, pics in spoilers, that will help load the page better. Thanks.
SpoilerTechnically jajangmyeon and jampong are Chinese food but they are deeply integrated in Korean culture at this point.

If people have receipts on Ji Changwook, please post them. Other than the gay kiss in the musical, and his and the other guy's sus interviews about it. That has been posted a million times. Tag me.
Pics, vids, gifs are best.

Its okay to disagree, but if you want to ask for opinions on this thread, you got one
Anyways, by my understanding anyone who is caught in a hostesses bar automatically gets a bad rep because of what they stand for. This is the reason why people critize idols/actors who either are former hostess or are dating one. I am not saying they are correct in doing this, but if you ask a korean what they think about those bars, its not going to be a positive one.
May i ask out of curiosity, what makes you think he is gay now? Its been quiet also on his front for a while now.
I never asked for opinions.
I have watched and observed him for 11 years. There is too much evidence. I have seen it all. And yes I know about fanservice and gaybaiting.
Many years ago, I used to be a regular reader of this thread. And many other places.
Also, my instincts and gaydar.
Idols' sexual orientation is rather basic stuff. I know too much.
Some of the stuff I know and realize about kpop or showbiz for that matter, (Hollywood, etc) people won't believe me, people are not ready for those truths, info, convos.
It's okay tho. Innocence is precious. Knowledge can be quite a burden. Esp if nothing will come out of it or change. Ignorance can be happiness.
So, I am gonna let it be.

I'm not really the kind to believe that idols' scandals could distract the public from political scandals but even if it is true (which i doubt), it doesn't change the fact that Yunho's misdeeds are real. This quote is saying that public officials sell celebrities' dirty laundry to media outlets, not that they are making up scandals out of thin air.
Yeah, I agree with you. He is in the wrong. I am not disputing that he was at the hostess bar.
I had read a blind item about a male Korean celeb who had sexually assaulted two young men. The media was sitting on the news to release it at a later time needed to distract from some political news or scandal. This manipulative stuff and taking control of the narrative is more common in higher circles than you realize, esp in a country like south Korea.
Also, tvxq and yunho are veteran idols from SM. They are A/B listers in Korea. It is a big deal and distracting enough there.

To answer your question, yes it was. It completely destroyed his clean image with knetz and he lost sponsors. Only his fans are supporting him now.
Yunho was literally caught in the company of hostesses in an exclusive adult entertainment bar and tried to run away from the police. I mean, he can still be bi but i'd be dumbfounded if he is gay after this.
Damn! Are there pics or vids?
That's so bad and so supremely ironic. Maybe even karmic.
Edit: now this I believe:
High ranking public officials are really working hard using a celebrity scandal to bury the LH land dumping and headquarter suicide case ㅋㅋㅋㅋ. Just like the 1 trillion won Lim fund scam, once again they're using up celebrities by selling stories to media outlets and broadcasting companies to bury the issue

I am not here to argue, not on this subject. Someone who doesn't know, doesn't see it, is not ready to see it, won't see it.
If it makes you feel better, just think of me as a clown and move on. Ignore me. If you want to argue or as you would put it, give your opinion on my opinion, please don't.
Do me a favour and ignore me. I really don't have the energy or inclination to argue and convince everyone.
Believe what you believe and let it go. Let's not argue.
Thanks.

From my understanding most of these hostessbars are actually a cover for prostitution. And I saw those post about yunho on this thread, but honestly this visit of his is more damaging than anything and tvxq was heavily into fanservice back then.
You are not gonna convince me. And I'm not gonna convince you. Let us let it go.
I know what I know.
Yunho could marry a woman and have 5 kids and I still know he is gay. Historically and even now gay people have married people of opposite sex to fit in.
Let's agree to disagree and move on.
Also, I have been absent from the kpop scene for a while. Was the hostess bar thing really huge and damaging? How did people react? I can imagine but I'm still curious. I am yet to catch up on everything.

I think you have missed the news that he was found to be in a adult establishment ( aka hostbar) a few months ago.
I know. I heard. And as a kpop fan of 11 years, who has watched and observed yunho and tvxq for a long time, I still 100% believe he is 100% gay. There are plenty of receipts in this thread.
Not gonna argue tho. People won't believe me.
Do hostess bars secretly have a few hosts too?
Also, tho, A lot of things happen at hostess bars, including prostitution, BUT, they are also used for work and business meetings.
They have private rooms where you can bring friends or "friends" and for obvious reasons there is privacy.
They are also just bars where people gather for drinking and adult entertainment and environment.

I know this stuff is years old but, I was going through seo yeji stuff. And damn, when she was working with yunho, she flirted with him aggressively, even in interviews.
Dayum, Girl didn't realize the guy is as gay as the day is long. It was hilarious, cringy, embarrassing all at once.
And here's yunho with the other costar looking equally miserable

Spoiler
I am thinking about park yongha a lot, these days. I am rewatching the slingshot. His eyes have genuine deep sadness and depression. Depression that is not the character's, is not acting, but is the person park yongha's sadness. I can tell after multiple watches. I even found the behind the scenes, making playlist on YouTube.
I can't stop thinking about him and feeling sad for him. Coz I feel as if in a way we are kindred spirits. As an adult suffering from depression and anxiety and a duck ton of other stuff and the duck ton of problems and life's worries and someone who was suicidal for a decade, I can't help but feel really sad for him. I feel a kinship. While watching the drama, constantly wishing, he hadn't taken that step and that there had been help. I was lucky to have help. It is still challenging but I was helped a lot by others. If he had that, maybe he could have been helped too. Maybe he would have been alive and ok today. How strange. It has been 11 years since he passed away and here is someone watching his drama and thinking about his pain and his work.
I feel so strange. I feel like this:
It feels a little diminishing and cringy to express my emotions through a pic coz this is serious and sincere but I am on the internet so this is the only way.
I know what it is like to fail, to be an utter failure. I know what it is like to disappoint someone, hurt someone, esp someone you don't want to hurt. I know what it is like to be weak and powerless, hopeless and desperate, what it is like to have secrets that kill you and eat away every aspect of your life. I know what it is like to live in constant fear and pain with no end or hope in sight. I know what it is like to be such an utter failure that...
I know what it is like to be an utter confused mess. I know what it is like to have your every dream broken, every hope shattered one by one. I know what it is like when your heart breaks over and over again. I know what it is like to deeply hurt and have deep wounds and scars.
But I also know that things will get better. Everything is going to be alright. Hang in there. Everything is gonna be alright. Please. There, there.
Hold on. Just hold on. It's okay. It's okay. Please.
It's gonna be okay. Little by little, it's gonna be okay.

https://www.allkpop.com/article/2021/01/these-are-13-of-the-biggest-news-to-hit-k-pop-in-2020 (Woojin has been proven to be innocent, by the way)
As for 2021, I guess there are no recaps yet, but off the top of my head, these are some of the things that have happened:
— Brave Girls' breakthrough with Rolling
— no GOT7 member renewed with JYP although they haven't officially disbanded (Jay B has signed with Jay Park's H1GHR MUSIC and Yugyeom with AOMG)
— multiple idols accused of bullying classmates in the past, APRIL accused of bullying former member Hyunjoo (more cases of in-group bullying in 2020, mostly in unknown groups, the only notable example being AOA) and (G)I-DLE's Soojin of bullying actress Seo Shin Ae in school
— Ilhoon (ex-BTOB) sentenced to 2 years in prison for marijuana use
— Himchan (ex-B.A.P) convicted of sexual assault
— Kris Wu (ex-EXO) accused of sexual assault, some of his victims being underage
—Yunho (TVXQ!) caught in a room salon
— several idols have contracted COVID
— some older idols have got married (Chen and Changmin in 2020)
— some barely known former idols and trainees have come out
— SME is now creating a whole universe, so-called KWANGYA, instead of SMTOWN and preparing project NCT Hollywood
— Mnet's Kingdom (preceded by Queendom in 2019 and Road to Kingdom in 2020) and other survival shows (i.e. LOUD)
You could also go to K-pop news channels on YouTube such as DKDKTV and Grazy Grace and read the titles of their videos.
Thanks a ton.
Thanks for taking the time and work to compile this list for me. Thanks.
DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!!!!
I am gonna be drowning in tea for weeks.

Funny how in SK the punishment for smoking weed is 2 years, but punishment for sexual assault is 10 months. Also, the court didn't order him to go to jail immediately, they gave him a few days to seek forgiveness from the victim, which if she had, they would have cancelled or reduced his sentence. Illhoon was arrested right inside the court coz they felt he might flee. What the motherducking duck?
Pot vs sexual assault. Pot is more or less a victimless crime. It being a crime is debatable. So many countries have legalized pot. Sexual assault has a victim. And is one of the most heinous crimes.
The duck?
Who the duck made these laws? Top tier clownery

SK boggles my mind.

The one benefitting the most from this is his agency. The reason why this issue is being brought up again is because of them. After this fiasco happened in 2018 Kim Junghyun took an 11 month hiatus and now his agency says his contract should be extended those 11 months. But a few days ago he was revealed to be looking into signing with other agencies so his current agency filed a lawsuit against him for breach of contract and since then all these accusations have been released to the press. Logical to assume that it's coming from them. Basically he has no representative right now so he's taking a pretty strong hit. Also the two options as to who released the messages: the agency or Kim Junghyun himself. Unless some third party magically hacked into his kakao talk. Though it was mentioned in the article that Dispatch already had this information back in 2018 but I'm not sure if that includes the text messages or just the fact that Seo Yeji was involved. But for some reason they didn't release this information back then and decided to release it now.
I have heard rumors that sometimes news agencies sit on certain pieces to release them later at a point to use as distraction from some other news. They are in with agencies, ENT industry and political powers.

I watched a few dramas on it, some rewatched. The official kbs world subs were 100 times better than the c*** on Netflix.
I understand some Korean so I could tell how off they were.
Translations from Korean to English are especially bad.
You'd think the biggest streaming platform on the planet will get decent translators.

tbh i see where the concern is coming from, and other users have raised the same concern to me. please do not revive years-old threads on sensitive topics just to post links. especially when the subject matter of the thread is a celebrity death. it’s not inconceivable that that might make people upset.
I understand. I'll delete my posts. I posted becoz if you read the blind, and I feel, there is some truth to it, it says there were other reason why sulli committed suicide. Some very dark, serious reasons. I felt the world should know. But, whatever.
About the thread deletion, the reason is personal info. Should I link the threads?

Those are blind items about kpop. I just felt if there is any truth to those blinds, maybe they should be posted in the relevent threads. And I posted only 2 links in topics in news and gossip section. Blinds are news and gossip. That's all. Then, I made a separate topic in 18+ section for blinds.
But if mods say it is wrong or not allowed, I will delete those posts.
From what I know, blinds are posted from time to time on OH.
Maybe take the stick out of your ass.
