Article: f(x) Victoria, parts ways with SM and is 'totally' in China now

    Source: Insight via Instagram

    1. [+726] Pisses me off that she got to make all that money in Korea

    2. [+453] And when any of them try to come back, please don't accept them again. Please remember what the Chinese celebrities are always doing to us.

    3. [+327] Just think of her as another foreign laborer who was on our TV for a while before making her money and going back home 👏👏👏

    4. [+190] Did she go back home to eat malatang

    5. [+138] And don't come back

    6. [+124] Yup~ piss off far away ^-^

    7. [+86] The reason SM keeps training Chinese idols is because most of the album and goods purchases are by the Chinese fandoms...;; They give a ton of support for their idol groups so how could you expect SM to just ignore such a huge cash cow ㅋㅋ Don't leave comments as if Victoria's the only one who financially benefitted from this deal...

    8. [+61] Who cares...

    9. [+46] Please be a nicer person 😂

    10. [+34] Farewell, hope to never see you again

    11. [+33] I don't know she was still living in Korea all this time

    12. [+23] One of the f(x) members I could never warm up about

    13. [+21] Please stop taking foreign kids and debuting them here ㅠㅠ you know that we have our own trainees who are sweating blood and tears for this job...

    14. [+17] I guess she'd be considered a patriot in China since she sucked all of our money out and took it back home

    15. [+87] Please... please stop picking Chinese idols... SM has had so many problems with Chinese idols but they're still picking them..

    1. [+754] I wonder if any f(x) member would even want to stay with SM ㅋㅋㅋ SM seems to be the only person who doesn't understand how popular f(x) is

    2. [+274] Farewell, I won't see you out far

    3. [+206] Farewell, and don't come back again~~

    4. [+173] So SM has no f(x) member left under them anymore... it's true, only SM doesn't know how popular f(x) is

    5. [+168] Taiwan #1

Even men who have medical conditions that probably shouldn't serve have to. (Apparently around 98% of men who enlist are active duty while only 2% public service worker cr.)

tell that to EXO-Ls who are so in denial of the obvious fact that a lot of celebrities do get the privilege to avoid the active duty for public service in case of medical conditions while the majority of men with similar conditions or even worse still have to serve active duty.

Korean men currently serving are not in the midst of actually "fighting" a war either. It's a frozen conflict. They're in a 1+ year bootcamp preparing them to fight tho.

that's like the main difference between their military service and Israel's for example.

actors and other celebs bring a lot of value to Korea which isn't something easily ignored. Endgame is money. Postponing or exempting certain individuals benefits Korea financially, right now. Also it benefits South Korea's overall reputation in the world.

within soon future or far future the exception will reach more celebs and I think the standards will get lowered for now the standard is BTS, it's just the nature of the beast

the more that happens the more some communities will complain about it and at some point more laws/newer laws will be made to satisfy more people.

I think that's just bound to happen but not soon I guess.

I disagree. If a country has rules they shouldn't be bended just because it benefits them, I find it a very biased and dangerous way of thinking.

But it's just my opinion 🤷‍♀️

I think the reason why that's happening is because the country to a high degree is living in complete peace unlike let's say Israel the mandatory service over there is completely different.

basically most kpop ifans are going to naturally lean two ways...

    1. for the rules to be changed so their favs can benefit from the postponement (or the possibility of an exemption in the future) too.

    2. or no one at all get it since their favs can't get it.

otherwise think about it, why do ifans even question (try to silence) koreans themselves (korean president, military, cultural ministry and others) choosing to postpone bts because they feel the group deserves it(?)...

my approach is I didn't understand how its mandatory service when it's not really mandatory service

I mean athletes are cool and shit they represent their country but they're not fighting a war!! so in my mind I was like how does sports entertainment equals mandatory Military service the mandatory service is not entertainment.

but recently i was reading a topic in reddit of an OP who was questioning the meaning of ART & why is it so expensive while people who actually serve/sacrifice to improve human lives are not worth much say scientists/doctors/firefighters etc..!

reading through that topic I think I can understand to some degree why there's exceptions for athletes and in this case an idol group at the caliber of BTS I mean they went past the highest standards of kpop idols they are tier of their own.

And when I saw titles of she's drinking underage I'm like..eh that is normal from where I'm from

the difference is underage drinking in Korea often goes hands n hands with iljins aka bullies almost like bullies in Korea always have underage drinking

Every korean boy (commoner or celeb)currently prefers to be active soldier bc time is less (18 months) meanwhile public service time is 22/24 months

Are you seriously comparing his wish to stay healthy (which actually benefits his condition) to serving? Heard about their mandatory training in gas chamber? Soldiers walk into a small room, full of chemically toxic gas first in gas masks, but then they get a command to take the gas masks off and endure. Doors are being blocked from outside so the solders could not run out.  Few days marathons outside during the winter when they run with min amount of stops and basically no sleep. How is it even comparable?

From a quick google search: chemicals and cold weather could affect his chromic condition negatively. Working out is actually encouraged.
You are very very wrong for this

there are Koreans who have conditions 10 times worse than baby boy baek but they still get forced into the frontlines, baby baek & many other idols/celebrities can get away for the simple fact that they are celebrities lol

It's interesting to know that because of hypothyroidism you are not apt to defend your country, seems like it didn't disable him from doing concerts 😅

South Korean Military is a complete joke that's why they still need papa America over there.

that being said only idols/actors get privileges like that as for average people it doesn't matter whether they are blind or lost their anus they must serve in the frontlines lol
