I know she had permission but the point still stands. She should've treaded more carefully seeing as BLANC is a business venture SM wasn't making money off. Acting/CFs/hosting are all things SM still get money out of some way or another. We all know $M only cares about how much money they can squeeze out of their idols.

This is so stupid. Like, I can't even wrap my head around it. It was a bad move on SM's part to remove Jessica from the group like this. Do they really think that SNSD can promote successfully as 8 as they did as 9? Part of SNSD's charm is their #OT9 'soshibond'. Netizens always comment on the fact that unlike other groups, SNSD have stood the test of time and that there has been no lineup changes for 7 years. This incident really brings SNSD down and makes them look as human as everyone else is in the GP's eyes. Even though Jessica is my SNSD bias, I recognize she's also at fault here. She shouldn't have been so hasty to shed the SNSD image so quickly as without SNSD she wouldn't even be able to get BLANC off the ground. She should've had a bit more restraint and found a way to manage both her careers without letting one overshadow the other. I imagine it'll be a lot more difficult for her and BLANC without the backing of SNSD now. Either way this is a HUGE blow to SNSD and I honestly don't think they can promote successfully as OT8. I don't think I can fully support them without Jessica myself.
