  1. Happy birthday OneHallyu! Even though I haven't been here for even a year yet, it has been fun I'll look forward to the times to come!
  2. Yep, I just checked my Android version and there appears to be a connection problem on my end too, so maybe they are either facing a big connection issue or maybe their having an update
  3. Yeah I wish the Korean version would give out diamonds like that too Wow your cards are really good in the Korean version! I chose to focus more on the Chinese version because my account in the Korean version doesn't have a lot of good cards and the Chinese one gives out so much good cards frequently xD
  4. Hmm I experienced this problem on my android phone a while back and I couldn't log in for almost 12 hours. After that though, I could log in and apparently the game had experienced some connections issues on android, so I'm assuming maybe the iOS server is currently experiencing some connection issues. Or maybe they are working on an update
  5. Yeah, they have the Chinese version... Maybe there's really a distinction between iOS and android :(
  6. Oh yeah that could possibly be the reason :/ I asked on the reddit for people to join too and then someone said they couldn't find it :(
  7. No problem! I agree that it's easier to gain RP, diamonds and good cards. Yeah, it does seem to be a bit unfair to new users because those who have all the good cards will definitely win, so maybe they should consider having no cards equipped for the tournaments so it'll be based on skill and not because of you cards. Yep, you can only play 5 times per day. And also, would you like to join the guild I created? Just click on the 4 button from the left called åŽæ´ä¼š, click the snsd logo and search 'Onehallyu' You can make contributions to the guild through diamonds and RPs and in turn get rewards such as card packs
  8. They are talking about celebrating May 1st Labour Day, so if you play enough times the 'single player mode' songs, you can get diamonds (i think) and high rated cards. But they didn't specify how many times you have to play the songs. And ps: the iOS version looks so good! (I assume you are using that version?) My version the android one doesn't even have the ability to play online tournaments :(
  9. Yep they change events every week but they change it on Wednesday while the Korean Version changes on Thursday (depends on your timezone) so basically the Chinese Version changes 1 day earlier than the Korean one every week
  10. They're having an event where you get exo cards for playing songs. If you play 120 songs, you will get a 30-card premium pack of just exo-k cards! That's why byun_aj got so much good cards Feel free to ask me any questions if you don't understand in the Chinese version, I can help you translate
  11. Haha xD I realise it does sound complicated but this chinese version has many great features! (I hope they would actually add it into the korean version, such as the PK mode)
  12. I got this from the reddit website: (I updated it a bit since that post is a bit outdated, but credits to BrainQQ of reddit) For people that are new to the game, or do not know. Superstar SMTown has two variants to the game. The Dalcomsoft version (the one which you are most likely to be playing at the moment) The Kakao-Chukong version (which is the Chinese version.) Kakao and Chukong basically have a license to localise the game in China, and with localisation comes big differences. Here are the main additions, removals and changes. AdditionsDaily Leagues: This league operates daily and is not part of your 'rank (aka. Bronze 1, etc.)'. Every 24 hours, play as normal and try to reach for the top. Every day, if you reach to the top, you can earn Gs (equivalent to Rs) depending on what rank you get. Levels: Every time you play a game, you earn EXP. Once you earn enough EXP, you level up. Each level grants you rewards such as headphones and cards. You also get a bonus for Gs and Ss. Daily Missions: Complete missions refreshed every day to receive rewards such as a Premium Card set, B Card, Headphones, Gs and much more. Leagues: Basically like a guild, choose your favourite idol group and join a league. The most points of each group wins. Daily Check In: Check in every day to receive a reward. (Yes, they give out 60 diamonds once in a while and you get an R card for logging in 20 days in a month and a 30-card premium card pack at the end of the month for logging in every single day of the month.)VIP: The game has two VIP statuses, Premium and Super Premium. Premium (costing 6Yuan p/month | 0.93USD p/ month) You get access to Premium Songs (colour around the song is green), ability to get 800 Gs every day, 8000Gs when purchased, Increase x10 of usage with Fandom items/hearts, receive a normal 10 Card Pack, ability to unlock songs after 24 hours and ability to complete Premium Daily Mission. Super Premium (costing 30 Yuan p/month | $4.63 p/month) You get access to Premium and Super Premium Songs (colour around the song is either green or red), ability to get 35 diamonds everyday and 300 diamonds when purchased, a crown badge showcased on your profile and image, x100 of receiving Gs each time you play a game, Increase x20 of usage with Fandom items/hearts, Idol Card Lucky Draw, ability to unlock songs after 24 hours and ability to complete Super Premium daily missions. Beginners Bird Pack (?): LMAO, well here are the Beginners Bird Pack. Pretty self explanatory. Diamond Songs: To unlock certain songs, you'll need to unlock them with diamonds. These 2 features have only been added to iOS, still waiting to be added to the Android version: PK mode: To start a match, you would basically press the "PK 5/5" button shown here. After doing so, you get randomly matched with another person to compete for the highest score on a random song. From what I've seen so far, these songs are also chosen at random between easy mode and normal mode. Not sure if hard mode appears at random but I played the daily 5 and did not get a song in that mode. You then get to this PK Screen where it shows: you and your opponent's level and cards equipped. I'm also not sure if this is done in real time cause I got paired with a SUJU song and since I was lazy to equip their cards before entering the song, I tried to see what would happen if I rage quitted. Well, it didn't work out cause when I tapped on the PK button again, I was stuck with the same song and opponent... After the match ends, you get taken to this screen where the results of the match are shown. Scores that you got from each card are compared. Cards that are greyed out lost to their opponent in terms of score while cards that are not greyed out won. Note: Levels in the Chinese version give you different bonus percentages for score and RP. You level up by playing songs either normally or playing this new PK mode. Here are examples of the benefits: Level 5, Level 50 (Max) World Chat Feature This feature is pretty self-explanatory. Here is what it looks like. It basically keeps a record of what people are doing in terms of upgrading R cards. You can also interact/communicate with other fellow players. ChangesShop: The shop has changed a lot in this version. Card Packs are sold in different numbers (e.g. 1s and 10s), Gs and Headphones are sold in Yuan rather than the Diamonds. Gs: This is the local game currency, exact same thing as Rhythm Points. UI: The UI is way, way different. Events are now stretched out to a wide screen view, rather than kept confined in the right. If you keep swiping at the end, there is a daily and weekly league. Unlocking songs: Unlocking songs is different as well, you'll have a group song level. I am on Song Level 1. Every song in song level 1 is unlocked (excluding the Premium, Super Premium and Diamond Songs), in order for me to progress to Song Level 2, I must have 30 stars (stars stack from each level, so 3 stars in Growl Easy and 1 star in Growl Hard = 4 Stars total) to move on. Stars: Stars in the game are different to the DalcomSoft one. In order to obtain 3 stars, you must do random missions, such as obtain x amounts of perfects, pass and obtain x amount of scores. Rerolling: Rerolling is now impossible, if you are a foreigner that just happened to obtain an account. Account registrations now need Chinese Mobile Number verification, and I'm pretty sure if you just happened to lay your hands on one account, you'll give up on getting another account just to reroll. RemovalsSend Gift: There is no Send Gift option in the game. Misc.Songs: Song updates are slower than the Dalcomsoft version with the game not receiving Ryeowook and Yesung cards and songs yet. Btw, here are the songs unlockable (Diamond/Premium/Super Premium) - here (http://pastebin.com/vcaajqPJ) There you go, I hoped this helped and I'm sorry for the image spam xD I thought it would be easier to view the images by putting them directly here instead of putting links. As for your other question, I still play the Korean version, but I would say I prefer the Chinese version more
  13. omg wow!!! You have 5 S cards and 1 A card now! You must have played alot in the past few days, I haven't played that much yet to get so much cards xD
  14. On a side note though, since it's the power-up chance event currently on the Korean version, I upgraded 2 of my cards to R and I noticed something interesting. When I upgrade my A and S cards to 5 stars, I realise that the probability of a successful upgrade seems to increase when I only use 4 cards each time (B cards for all the S cards because I ran out of Cs xD). I don't know if this is chance or not, but it seems like when I use 4 cards, I can upgrade my cards more successfully than when I use 5 cards.
  15. Haha I'm lucky I guess that I learn mandarin xD This is when I feel happy that I actually learnt mandarin If you need help with any of the translations, I will be glad to help! And yes, I have created the guild! Here it is (I'm still a bit confused what you can do with it xD) For anyone who plays this Chinese Version, please do join! Thanks:
  16. Haha wow great job you'll probably get loads of EXO cards now because the event they are having currently is getting EXO-K cards for a certain number of songs you play oh and since i'm a weird person, should I name it onehallyu or OneHallyu? xD
  17. Haha I struggled to get my Yuri card for so long! So shall I create the guild?
  18. Ok, so onehallyu? xD But maybe we should use SNSD because it's the largest fandom at onehallyu? Anyone else who plays the chinese version, please voice your thoughts on which group to use!
  19. Not really, this version is not managed by Dalcolmsoft but Daum Kakao, Chukong Games and one other chinese game studio. This is an authorised "remake" of the original version but the mechanics of the game are similar to the korean version, except that updates from the korean version such as the adding of Yesung cards will take longer in the Chinese Version.
  20. Ok! So shall we just name it onehallyu? or maybe we should come up with some cool name. And which group would you like to use? I'm fine with anything
  21. I'm cool with everything, maybe we should just use the most popular group from this forum? And for the name, I'm not too sure if it can be in English or must it be in Chinese?
  22. Ok But I think we need to choose a group / solo though to make a group so which one should we choose?
  23. Oh yep we can make one! Maybe we should make a guild consisting of Onehallyu members who play the Chinese SSM
