As someone raised in Asia and moved to a Western country, the whole concept of destiny (imho, from my perspective) is embraced by Asians and found creepy by Westerners. One thing I find commonplace in cultures in how we firmly feel that a lot of things are "meant to be" and predetermined, while Western culture hold on tightly to the belief that everyone have their choices & decisions which would determine their life - especially when it comes to the concept of dating/romance. In Asia, we always believe there is that person "meant for us" (for example, the concept of the red string of fate etc) written in our stars when we were born while in the Western world, dating is all about attraction and decisions. So the whole "this is not a coincidence, this is fate" narrative of DNA can come off as coercive and even creepy lmao. Sea is the kind of song which would immediately gain them the respect of everyone, would also automatically dispel notions that they are your typical bubblegum pop boyband (which DNA kind of reinforced) It's looking less and less of a theory and more of a fact. When could this be? November is awards season and they're touring a lot starting mid-October so I won't be surprised if New Yorkers are in for a shock and BTS will be there next week....and that's the Chuseok vacation they're talking about lol. The songs you've mentioned would climb the US charts like crazy if promoted.

No you're right, it's just a Bangtanized version of M-Countdown since none of the fans said they recorded anything aside from those mentioned unless Best of Me is another secret recording like Inkigayo (I doubt - I would have imagined more that after this countdown is when they'd dropped the new MV if there is any)

This are my exact thoughts and what some ARMYs are also speculating. The whole thing was a test drive on how BTS would fare with barely any US promo and simply relying on the bare necessities. Even US DJs have hinted that BoM is the one being pushed for Top 40 (and knowing how things are done in the US, DJs especially of the bigger stations, need the greenlight from upper management to add songs in their playlists) The boys have mentioned they were not expecting the Hot 100 charting of DNA, and while that may be them simply being modest, I feel it's true that they didn't expect a Hot 100 charting from DNA but from Best of Me.

I feel unsure if the L and O elements will ever be used onstage/MV like YNWA because there was Young Forever and Young Forever/Fire/Save Me MVs all didn't have any of the aesthetic of the photos in the album lmao. The LY album had mentioned Lyle Beniga as a choreographer for this album and I'm pretty confident he's responsible for Mic Drop lmao. If they get a banging choreo for Best of Me that song has massive potential.

Releasing an MV for it won't require them to promote on music shows all over again though. They can just let the MV do the promoting work for them.

KYAAA~ Tae Yeah, but an MV will really give it a massive push. For some reason DNA as an MV isn't really the best one to introduce people to BTS. I've been watching reactions yesterday and a lot of muggles end up confused and the comments sections are full of ARMYs telling them to watch other things instead I mean, DNA is fun but yeah, not the best ARMY converter. Hopefully if they do a video for BoM (given this song actually has a hook and a chorus, with English lines) it would be more effective in introducing BTS.

I think massive push in general, not specifically just to the West. you know what would be interesting? If BoM did have an MV and they drop it on a Friday, with the MV being done my Lumpens. You know the visuals would be insane and the song is radio-friendly. If the MV has choreo, it will be massive. You know fans will stream the sh*t out of it and radio stations will be more than happy to play it because of the Chainsmokers branding. Makes me wonder if they can beat DNA's record in the Hot 100.

DNA is pretty much an antichorus song. People tend to mistake that it got mixed reviews due to the EDM genre, but the main reason why it wasn't anyone's cup of tea is because there's no chorus and structure in the song. It's as experimental as experimental could get. I am almost certain the next one will 98% be Best of Me because when they were distributing the album, only DNA and BoM had stars beside them - signifying that both were single tracks. Some ARMYs are speculating in another forum about how DNA seems to be the dry run for the Billboard charts and radio play but BoM is the actual song which will get the massive push.

Guys will the iheartradio Most Requested Live on 7th October be live? I just did some research and the most recent artists who did it had it done live real-time but I'm not entirely sure. So they'll film it in Korea, kinda like a V-Live? I'm confused.
