So guys I am just watching some random BTS videos and I realized this band has the most unique luck ever. A lot of their remarkable moments seem serendipitous. Ex: Save Me MV. Saw the making footage and the bad weather actually was good luck because it really set the tone of the mv. Imagine that mv on a clear bright day lmao...not gonna leave the same impression.

OMG thank you so much! I don't do threads for two things: 1) acts I like 2) acts I dislike. I try to document my thoughts on certain acts while I'm still level-headed about it lol. Was lurking and this was really well-written. I agree that groups mainly stanned by choding fans shouldn't be looked down on. In the US for one, the tween market is unbelievably powerful. And capturing people at this age can only mean great things 5-10 years down the road if utilized well in terms of long-term market strategy. But I wanted to give a context on why it's looked down in Korea. By having mainly choding fans means your music only appeals to kids is kind of dissing it as childish/juvenile. Especially in a society where age is a HUGE thing, you can see how this context works out. This is why I mentioned in the other post that all BST comeback did was finally putting them on a leveled radar in Korea. It's the next comeback which will really determine if they're shooting up status-wise in their homeland. They're very known, but people just ain't singing their stuff in noraebangs just yet. I always determine a song's success by how frequently it gets picked in the noraebang (this happened with Growl!)

Yeah but I also kinda feel bad for the pd101 guys Why does it feel their thunder might be stolen if this show hits it big (especially this one is not on a cable channel and it will get subbed faster because KBS) Also trainees like Kwon Hyeop who left Maroo and are no longer 'trainees' per se are actually eligible for this program. I wonder who will be the clever eliminated PD101 trainees who will actually join this show.

I know right, and they tend to be better star-makers too in their 'inspired by another program' TV shows (people still remember the triplets but no one knows any longer who Yoonhoo is when I mention him) Nu'est must be sad they didn't wait for this lmao

Nope, this will be a variety of people. Pretty much everyone EXCEPT current trainees can join. So that means: struggling models, struggling actors, nugu idols, dance cover group members, youtube cover singers, Afreeca TV BJs, or even nobodies but have killer visuals. I can see how this could be popular as the final group will certainly be quite a unique mix.

Nah more like PD101 boyband should pray they'd be allowed to promote in KBS because KBS obviously would wanna promote their own group more tbh And KBS is pretty much the Nation's TV Networkâ„¢ so their audience share is massive...praying for my husband Bugi and his future bandmates
