  1. Guys this radio station will add BTS to their playlist if they get 10,000 votes. Huge number but please spread it. Given our streaming numbers are so low, we can make up for it with radioplay. So far 300 voted when I checked. Click here to view the Tweet
  2. damn if multiple fan groups do GOs and buy from a ceritfied Hanteo seller we can get that million before the year ends. also what is it about billboard changing their hot 100 rules?
  3. Just Jared & ET didn't get exclusive deals. It was an error on Ellen's part & the unlisted video links somehow got leaked to those websites so they shared it to gain some clicks. Such an unfortunate incident as Ellen took the videos down completely. Would have been more fun to see it right after the TV airing. Now it feels like the suspense is sort of killed a bit.
  4. They do but I have read posts everywhere that people should be happy for whatever because "it's just a bside remix" from fans and non-fans alike. I agree that its doing well for one, especially comparing to other groups and other remixes but there's a lot of effort exerted for this specific one compared to other bsides they have. But they're also working under a different geographical context for this one, so it's also a first. I just felt the single is sort of being downplayed by fans a bit for what it is - thats just my opinion though.
  5. Stream wise on Spotify, the US streams are half of what DNA got....so streams are much lower than DNA which was getting 500k. Mic Drop is getting 200k streams in the US accdg to Spotify.
  6. to be fair, not all K-Pop remixes get MVs and after watching the boys react to the Mic Drop MV, its obvious this isn't "just a bside remix" for them. All of them agreed that this was in the top 3 of the most difficult MVs they had to do & they went out of their way to drop it on a Friday to give the fans all the time in the world to stream it. I have seen the "it's doing well for a bside remix" narrative thrown here and there a lot, but I am sort of speculating Big Hit & their partners thought fans would still stream tf out of it. - they forgot to consider MAMA votings preoccupy the fans too much. I think we will see a small rise in streams once the voting drama is over as the fandom can reorganise themselves once again lmao. What I think are catching them by suprise is the iTunes ranking, but I can bet so much they designed this single in hopes of breaking through the top 50 (all those radio interviews hyping this up, the MRL one was obvsly a radio deal, promoting it on heavily watched TV programs). We'll see if the TV promo gives it a bump though.
  7. The AMAs were pretty arguable. Bad camera work, bad audio, the lipsync brouhaha aftermath, the bigots that came after. Great exposure though, but I wouldn't say it turned out 100% well. Fans were right in worrying about that one in terms of song choice as well as camerawork & backtrack usage. Also you cant stop fans from worrying. Human beings are not designed to have blind trust in things, especially when they begin seeing signs of things possibly going wrong especially with things they care about. I don't see criticism like you have mentioned, only skepticism...which is different.
  8. what makes me wary about the docu is from what perspective these journos are coming from, and based on that tweet, joke or not, this docu is not being done to "boost" BTS like what fans seem to believe. I dont know why this thread is saying ARMYs are being overprotective and dramatic of the docu, thinking BBC is using BTS for fame. I actually see most fans on Twitter hyping this documentary and believing it will boost BTS' profile. I think the more pragmatic fans are just scared of the fallout if the documentary does end up being more realistic than what they expected (like your typical BBC produced documentary that skews toward the negatives) because that could touch upon topics the fandom would certainly cause drama about. The fans who are worried about the documentary are certainly an almost invisible minority. Most ARMYs on stan twt are already using this BBC feature as bragging rights.
  9. same! my kpop allergic friend got hyped when i played this during our drive. he never realized it was kpop until the majimak insaya and realized he got played. he downloaded the song now so all good. i have noticed as well that it is kpop fans who tend to prefer the original mic drop to this. suffice to say if you listen to pop radio, this style of music is what the gp digs. frankly if bts is serious with cracking the top 40, fandom alone wont bring them there.
  10. Apparently, buying the old Mic Drop single (the original version) will also count to charting so it's best to purchase both singles of the remix and the original Mic Drop for more sales.
  11. DBSK is under Avex and Max Matsuura is a powerful man Ayu, Namie & those divas are under him. And even he had immense challenges to get DBSK in MSta and Kohaku. What more BTS who don't have as strong backers?

  13. we need at least 25k us itunes purchase of micdrop to get that elusive itunes #1 also read camilizers gonna go full force today because havana is #2 in the hot 100 so considering friday is the new charting day, they will buy the heck out of it to get her the top spot. the gp likes it too so more purchases and streams as well.
  14. they also have the excuse of having japanese members, so the public isnt ruffled as much as inviting a purely korean kpop group
  15. I'm honestly hyped with 2 djs now saying the same thing after JJ Click here to view the Tweet
  16. especially the distributor for Gucci and YSL in Korea is the same company as the one who does to Puma too. wont be surprised if it is an ex deal of sorts,
  17. A bit of my thoughts since antis are attacking us with ratings now: Also please don't fail to acknowledge BTS performed at 10:30 on the dot (10:31 if you're a bit conservative with numbers) and they only contributed 4 -5 minutes out of the 30 minute segment. If you're gonna be as liberal with the interpretation of the numbers (most of we don't really have ultimate figures of per performance), we could even assume people were only watching until BTS came on and turned the TV off when they stepped offstage at 10:35pm, levaing almost 25 minutes more for the block to finish. From this perspective, BTS might have even RAISED the ratings of the last 30 minute block average. It meant people were just anticipating them then turned their TVs off. This could be a reach as well. Unless we get ratings of per performances, we will never know. Also at the end of the day, in an era where everything can be recorded or uploaded online and with the target demo the show is reaching, TV ratings are only one of the factors that matter. Don't forget one of AMA's aims since 2014 was to reach a more global audience hence the partnerships with Youku, Middle East & European TV BTS is one of those acts which have an active global fandom & you could see it in the youtube views of their AMAs interviews (hitting millions in a day) and the wild buzz for AMAs on social media due to the boys.
  18. Dick Clark blocking it is a good sign because it means they'll upload it on their own channel (AMAs channel or give the artists a copy for their own VEVOs/Channels depending what deal they came up with) Hopefully they have a version where you can hear the fanchants.
  19. Google won't work as it's algorithm based. It "predicts" your search box depending on what type of content you usually surf using your browser. Given you're a BTS fan, it's natural it estimates you're searching BTS-related stuff. I'm talking about Facebook btw, not Twitter. People I know irl posting it on their accounts "what is bts" after they performed lol.
