I honestly think BTS Countdown happened because they could not upload the MNET Comeback Show on Youtube. BTS Comeback Show was meant to be a livestream in partnership with so many video platforms, so there might have been contract exclusivity issues somewhere there which is pretty complex so they just decided to film an MNet exclusive BTS Countdown they could easily post to Naver and Youtube soon after with most rights owned by them. MNet probably saw the immense viewership the comeback show had, as well as the global reach and lost Youtube views that they decided dedicating a whole Countdown show for BTS was worth it. They saw people immensely cared for BTS b-sides and old songs (most likely due to the wild feedback I Need U and No More Dream restaging got) and took the idea from there. Big Hit probably took advantage of this since this is free promo and allows them to have more stages that could showcase the boys as well, but this is the first time music show filming took longer than 24 hours. I honestly believe and know no other idols have experienced this until yesterday except for BTS, so this situation is really unique to them. I also think the whole BTS Countdown thing was a very recent decision (probably after the Comeback show) because schedule-wise, it was sort of obvious. So yes, comeback period is usually draining and tiring even for big named idol groups but what BTS experienced yesterday was oddly special to them. No one really experiences filming for a music show for 26 hours.

In general most K-Pop group MV views are very frontloaded. But as long as BTS keeps up the hype, the streams will come (especially if they chart higher than expected in Hot100 because you sure ARMYs would want to stay in the chart)

I used to post in the bashing thread about my negative opinions but I decided it wasn't worth it and it made me feel shittier. I felt like a complete coward going into a place wherein I would be immune to any counterarguments or fact-checking. By putting my bashing/negativity in there automatically meant that I had no capability to defend whatever my belief or opinion was on something - which meant whatever opinion I had laid on terrible foundation to be begin with. People in OH act as if the bashing thread is the only place where everyone can ~let out their feelings~ but if you look at it from a critical perspective, there's no thread as delulu as the bashing thread because the thread makes you immune from any double checking or counterarguments of other users who aren't trolls. It's hilarious when the users in there accuse everyone outside that thread as delusional fans when people outside that thread are ready to debate using logic, reason and sometimes, even tangible figures while most of the stuff they rant about there are just stuff that made them personally salty and sometimes even baseless speculations about idols/celebrities/other fandoms. If you truly think your opinion has sound basis and reason, you would be ready to present that in a space which is open to scrutiny and dialogue, not in a thread wherein people are unable to correct even the most ridiculous statements. It's their prerogative to keep using that thread, but the fact that they aren't opening their opinions and thoughts to further dialogue already makes their statements null and worthless.

Hi guys, as seen I've been MIA because 1. I just came from overseas travelling 2. Too caught up with BTS comeback So apologies for that. Will get to business soon. As the show will be premiering soon, I am going to start renovating the OP now and I've asked the help of another user to design it. I've been reading all the updates to the show and I'm trapped as I already have biases this early on I can't believe I am subjecting myself to another round of torture watching a Korean survival show, but here we go.

I know Mic Drop gets compared a lot to the Cyphers. Makes me wonder if I'm the only one who thinks it's more similar to Dope than the Cyphers in terms of the message and the confidence in the song?

JK in Go Go was wild. He's always been a sharp and precise dancer, but for this comeback his dancing has...I don't know, more feelings? Like you can tell it's no longer just swag, he can tell stories with his dancing now. His dancing has become really expressive which amps his charisma a lot, And wow. I feel like I'm being slayed by Jin's voice whenever he has lines. Like please stay in your lane, Sir.

I'm a Tae bias but Jin and Kook are really testing me this comeback tbh.
