  1. BTS is currently at #45 658 Spins. To US Residents, with lower sales and streaming, please do your best to request songs on your radio. Either tweet, call or text. This will help with BB100 and generate potential digital sales/streaming. Another way is to put your request into your local station Mediabase form. All you have to do is google the station call sign and "mediabase". For example, Z100 in New York City call sign is WHTZ. search "WHTZ mediabase" on google= The first few sites should be similar to this: "http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/7/stationplaylistrequest.asp?c_let=whtz-FM" Fill out the form and you're done!
  2. The RA is weird when it comes to best new artist. Sometimes they will use the criteria to exclude an artist, but they can be lenient and have exceptions. For example, Anderson Paak was nominated in 2017 season, but his first ep was in 2010, a 7-years span. Also, from 2010 to 2017, he has 5 albums and 3 eps. In comparison, BTS has 3 albums and 5 eps. It is likely that the Academy started the count from when Paak first impact the US chart, which is in 2016. For BTS, it can be argued that the first chart impact is in 2016 with Wings. However, it can also be argued for 2017 with Her since it is the first time BTS has official US distribution.

  4. Norah Jones 2002. I am sure there are a couple of more if you look back in history. But I am also sure there are no Asians who have gone #1 with a foreign language album. Edit: Also, most are of Asian descent, and not actually Asian by birth. Yoko Ono (w/ John Lennon):1980
  5. Just a bit of technical clarification. HDD isn't posting prediction, they are posting real sales data collected by BuzzAngle. Edit: The major differences because BA and Nielsen is that Walmart doesn't report sales to BA. Nielsen have more retailer/clients reporting, but Buzzangle may be closing up. (Buzzangle have accused Nielsen of weighing physical album sales for stores that don't report to them, but I have seen a rep from BB responded that they don't weigh sales. It wasn't a public rebuttal, so I'm not going to post it.) Think of Nielsen as Hanteo #1 and BuzzAngle as Hanteo #2. Treat HDD Hits Top 50 as a separate chart, not a BB predictor, although many like to use it to predict BB.
  6. I think you are both confused on how Youtube Content ID and Billboard works. Bighit doesn't need to buy any copyright, they already own the copyright as the original creator/admin. Youtube will automatically track uploaded videos. It isn't perfect (as shown in last CB JB Love Yourself fiasco,) but people should not worry about unofficial uploads. -Youtube Also, Hot100 includes official and unofficial videos if copyrighted music is used. This includes almost all lyric videos and reaction videos that have content id turned on. (Some Youtubers will turn on content id because it will reduce chances of them getting a copyright strike. Some will tell you that they are not monetizing from the videos.) "Billboard is now incorporating all official videos on YouTube captured by Nielsen's streaming measurement, including Vevo on YouTube, and user-generated clips that utilize authorized audio into the Hot 100 and the Hot 100 formula-based genre charts – Hot Country Songs, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, R&B Songs, Rap Songs, Hot Latin Songs, Hot Rock Songs and Dance/Electronic Songs – to further reflect the divergent platforms for music consumption in today's world." source: Billboard

  8. Can someone who works for Bighit forward this suggestion to them for next comeback? Friday digital release. Monday physical release. This will help with both US and S. Korean charts, and reduce potential leaks from album shipping out early.
  9. I second this. HYYH concert is still my fave, especially because of the live band. Danger live version is also really good too.
  10. No problem! Trust the US-Army, we have enough to fill stadiums, so we will definitely get them to chart on BB.
  11. There is no way for non-US ARMY to help with Hot 100. Even if there is a way, it is frown upon by many people. It is annoying to see Youtube freezing views because of people who are trying to manipulate their ips. It is better that they try to chart in their own country.
  12. YYou can put the battery back in after the checkpoint. They just need to examine the inside.
  13. Can everyone do me a favor, if you're planning to go to Ontario or Newark shows, please contact your Attorney General/Legislature or tweet to them about scalping. Click here to view the Tweet The more attention on this, the better. Thank you!
  14. It also doesn't help that some of the promoters are scalpers themselves. This is the case for some of the LA tickets that already went on sale.
  15. Intro to SLA was released 10 days before comeback, so it's not unusual. I don't know why people are expecting something on a Korean national holiday. I can understand if people start complaining on May 8th, but it's still within their usual release range.
  16. That is only if they use the full arena used for sporting events. For concerts, the stages take up a good 30-40%. Here is a chart based on Billboard Boxscores from miscellaneous concerts: K-pop concerts usually have less seatings, and I think it's because of the dual stage layout. BTS concert in Newark was around 11,300. It's likely to be around 315k to 340k.
  17. I am not quite sure, but many non-Anglo artists are not included. I have a simple assumption, BigHit/Loen are not members of IFPI.
  18. I think your numbers are a bit jumbled up. 'Her' First Week Pre-Order: 1.05 million 'Her' Final Pre-Order Number: 1.122.946 'Her' First Month Gaon: 1,203,533 So based on that, Tear should have 1,544,634 preorder and 1,660,000 first month Gaon.
  19. Here's a spreadsheet to track tweets for 2018. It doesn't include text tweets, retweets and April Fools tweet. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13NyJSx2A4KGZfC1OLyENxvoBUILKAszH2WFOypj9-sE/edit?usp=sharing The files have a lot of links, so it may take some time to load. The sheet is updated every 30-45 minutes. So far, 24 tweets are over 1 million likes. Unveiling my Twitter Tracker 2.0. There are less tweets, but much more user friendly.
