Wasn't the homophobic bullying scandal cleared up or something? I don't follow NCT and this happened long ago, so... -

I understand what you're saying, that's why I said 'a lot of his interests', not 'all'. I know that Jungkook likes make up, likes some queer artists, etc. I don't exactly agree with you on saying that personality and sexuality isn't connected. I'm not saying that just because a man is gay that he will automatically like Lady Gaga and hate sports or some shit, but queer people are more likely to like/understand some things (like Lady Gaga) than straight people would and vice versa. I don't think it's because of sexuality tho but instead because of the influence of society. That, of course, doesn't mean that a straight man can't like Lady Gaga for example, but it's less likely. I don't know if I'm making any sense... -

Jungkook is definitely really hard to read. There's barely anything that we can take as receipts for attraction to anyone. The only thing we have left is his personality and well... he really reads off as a straight man lmao. A lot of his interests are straight as fck But then again there are people who seem to be 100% straight and end up being LGBTQ+. It is rare but it happens Definitely. If you use twitter and interact with other fans (who likely are into RPS and shipping), you are bound to absorb their perceptions. -

Yoongi used to have a large amount of receipts back in BTS' early days. Most of them weren't "big", in fact a lot of them were things like "avoiding ideal type questions", but because they were so recurrent and happened within short amounts of time, lots of people saw them as proof of Yoongi being bi/pan and confortable with his sexuality. But then he slowly stopped saying "sus" things, probably because the ideal type questions also stopped and/or because BTS became really famous and he had to be more careful with what he says. - Not related: I saw someone mention the Billboard 2018 interview and I just want to say that I don't think Namjoon backtracked his support in that interview. What I think that happened was bad interpretation and translation. The interviewer was korean and the interview was likely in korean too and then later translated into english. Namjoon probably tried to play with the words and give a deep response (he did the same with the the other questions) and the interviewer didn't understand it well as it wasn't a direct response. -

Btw, adding to the Yoongi discussion, he was the one who talked about wanting their BT21 characters to not be in a gender binary (group of two genders). LGBTQ+ or not, Yoongi is pretty educated about gender identity. -

I didn't erase anything. You can go back to my post and see that not only I didn't erase that part from your post, I ALSO ADRESSED IT. You, on the other hand, ERASED THE GREAT PART OF MY POST THAT ADRESSED IT. Hypocrisy much? Maybe you just couldn't find it. Here, I will repeat it for you! Yeah, like two times? lol And it's not even comparable, NCT was being discussed for, as I said, pages upon pages lately. BTS, meanwhile, only got discussed for 3 pages after a very long time of barly no discussion about them before you got bothered (yes, you got bothered. I don't even know why you are trying to deny it, if you weren't bothered you wouldn't make that post in the first place). And let me say that I don't care if NCT is discussed for pages. As I said, if you want to talk about another group then start the discussion yourself. I'm sorry but you can't stop people from talking about something they're interested about and force them to talk about something they don't care about. What you want people who are only here for NCT or BTS to do? Start to discuss if there are any gay members in Blanc7? Almost no one even know their names lol (no offense for the Blanc7 stans). Okay, sweetheart. I hope you have a great year. -

As for homophobic things they've said, I have to disagree that they've said "a lot". I'm confident that there are only two incidents where they've said anything close to being homophobic: The fansign incident (Yes, it did happen. I remember it) and the one you talked about, with Jimin and J-Hope. The fansign one was in 2014 or 2015, basically Jimin making a lot of aegyo with Jungkook and Taehyung reacting badly to it. Either what Taehyung said was homophobic or not, I guess it varies from each person's opinion. And even if you see it in the worst way possible (Taehyung implying that Jimin has a "bad mental state" because "he may like guys"), I personally don't think it affects the possibility of him being LGBTQ+. If he was indeed that homophobic back then, it wouldn't make his receipts (his possible journey to self-acceptance as a LGBTQ+ man, remember 'Stigma'?) any less significant. The Jimin and J-Hope one was in the behind the scenes for something they were shooting for Dark & Wild in 2014. They decided to pretend they were bad boys members of enemy gangs meeting up to fight. I am less induced to believe that they were being serious, which is why I don't care that much about it. And even if they somehow were, then well, that was 6 years ago. (I have trouble to find the actual video but I guess from this gif you can see what it actually was) - Also, not related at all with the rest of the topic, but while I'm almost 100% sure Taehyung is LGBTQ+, I'm not as confident with him being completely gay. That's mainly because I know a lot of bi guys who are like him (consuming tons of, if not only LGBTQ+ media, etc.) but are bisexual with great degree of attraction to women. I wouldn't be surprised if he was 100% gay, tho. I just wouldn't bet on it, don't want another Heechul situation happening lol -

Can you fucking not? If you're so bothered that people are discussing about BTS more right now on this thread then just log off or try to start a discussion about other groups It's so fucking annoying that people only go "oMG iS ThIs wHIcH Male IDols aRE GaY or wHich BtS memBers are gAY?! " when it's BTS that is being discussed, but no one bats an eye when NCT was the one being discussed for PAGES without stopping. No one gets annoyed, they go on with their lives. But they can't go on with their lives when it's BTS, why is that? Not too long ago I went through the pages of this thread to find some tea on Seventeen for a friend and all I could find (going back as far as middle 2019) were pages upon pages of NCT being discussed, with some SM idols being thrown here and there. I've been following this thread for a really long time, I only truly care about BTS, but do I complain when they're not the subject? No. I just ignore non-BTS posts and go do something else, while waiting for someone to bring up BTS, someday. I can assure it's not that hard TL;DR: Your faves aren't the subject of the discussion on this thread? Go do something productive with your life or start discussing about them yourself with people that care about them. Sorry for the kinda off-topic rant. Edit: BTW, I know some will try to argue that they're bothered becuase people are discussing BTS ships here. Well, first of all: there are barely any "shippy" BTS posts in the current discussion. From what I've seen, most people here are aware that ships in BTS are to be taken with a grain of salt/as an aftertought. For example, when someone brought up Jungkook being protective of Taehyung in a show Bogum was in, they didn't imply Taekook was real. They were implying that Jungkook might have noticed that Taehyung was uncomfortable with Bogum's presence (which, while also being a suposition, doesn't need to be read as romantic, either on Tae and Jungkook's side or Tae and Bogum's side). Second of all: Other groups ships are discussed all the time, too. I'm not saying every post about the idea that two people from the same group might be dating are shippy posts, but for sure other people have more freedom (as in less "having to avoid making it seem as a shippy post") to talk about it than BTS stans here have. -

The first thing that comes to mind is that time in Bon Voyage when he (and BTS) were drooling over that guy's semi nude body -

This is from an old interview, probably has already been posted a long time ago but anyway. RM's "I don't like bad woman or bad man types" is kinda interesting -

It used to be possible to do so, but the search system of this forum stopped working properly like 3 years ago and never got fixed. In the very first post of this thread there are some links to important things, tho. However, I don't know how updated the post is. -

And the difference between them are...? I'm not sure what is the big deal in both videos? In the interview he was just looking at whoever was talking at the moment. Unless you are assuming that him not standing still is a proof of him showing attraction to the interviewer, which I don't agree. There's nothing out of the ordinary in the Mamamoo video. -

Oh yeah, watching female singers perform (and being impressed by their performance, in Normani's case) = attraction In that case he has shown attraction to men many times too. Post the interviews you're talking about, how am I supposed to believe you without any substantial proof? -

Proof? And I hope none of them are AHL or him liking IU or some shit like that. -

So? He also has barely shown any attraction to women. Straight isn't a "default sexuality". Also Jungkook is introverted meawhile Tae and Jimin are extroverted. He hardly would go and do the same things Jimin and sometimes Tae does when showing attraction (like checking out guys on the street or something) -

I understand where you are coming from, that's why I said "it's the closest we will get from him coming out" and "he could be in some spectrum of the lgbtq+". I don't think he came out at all, not in a strict sense anyway. (Now that I think about it, I should've written 'gender expression' rather than 'identity') Not related but by the way: what makes someone lgbtq+ is constantly up to debate, it's a never ending discussion. Would a straight cis man, for example, who has a really conventionally feminine gender expression be considered lgbtq+? Some would say no because he is cishet, others would say yes because his expression is not what is expected from a cishet man.
