  1. Anneyeong ~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The last time I was active in this forum was 4 years ago (last 2017):rlytearpls:

I know that the new members won’t recognize me right now but FOR SURE THE OLDER ONES would definitely recognize me :hurr:

I was literally the “Blunt Exo-L fan” then whom everyone hated but secretly loved and admired me:cuteeyes:

So yes yes and yes! I’m back again!
    I hope I’m still very welcome here🤧

(Y’all just go check my profile for those who have forgotten me)

Ugh, i really didn't want to sound like this, I will delete this. I was just concerned about chart performance and it came out wrong, really

    =======

how 5 minutes chart is going? are we aiming for top3? Can't check myself

Number 1 is that dude everyone predicted to slay all charts?

Gurl just calm down and be positive :imstupid:

Lets just wait and see (hoping it will do well :la: )

  3. I don't have digital numbers

    BUT

Digital numbers in Japan are not that strong. They are getting more and more relevant every year, but based in 2016's report by RIAJ (Recording Industry Association of Japan) it only represents the 18% of the year's revenue.... Tragic (so physicals are still the big deal in Japan)

You have Hot Albums from Billboard Japan that combine physical sales with digital download but big part of the numbers are just physical

If you are interested, you have charts like Recochoku, that update a weekly charts but they just give u the positions, not numbers. If I'm not wrong, CBX didn't chart in the Top100, but it's difficult for a kpop group to chart there.

In the last years, streaming is the new black in Japan, being more relevant than digital downloads. Line Music Chart is really popular but I think they are like Rocochoku, they just give positions not numbers.

    I hope it was useful

Ohh didnt know that! That was very useful. Yeh it seems like its more of the sales rather than digitals when it comes to kpop groups.

Oh well eventhough they couldnt chart the album is a bop :chu:

  4. #2 Oricon Weekly Chart with 55,201 copies (First Week Sales)

First week sales are good for a Kpop group, enough to rank #2 in Oricon Weekly Chart, which is a great achievement.

The numbers are low compared to Coming Over first Week (140k) but after all it's a subunit: they sold less in Korea, they will sell less in Japan as well (people had to many expectations in them) and it's an album, singles tend to sell more in Japan.

Advise: If you guys don't know much about japanese charts, always try to see how they are performing in the weekly/monthly charts, as daily charts variated a lot from one day to another and don't give a realistic image of how a groups are performing.

For example, a tactic some Kpop Companies used to do ( don't see it as much these days): Most big acts in Japan release new content on Wednesdays (that's when the week starts for Oricon) Because of how fandoms work there (talking about idols) they buy copies in the first 2-3 days, so the rest of the day their sales are lower. So a lot of Kpop groups released their new singles in Japan on the weekend when it was easy for them to top Oricon Daily Charts. They use this to mediaplay as much as they wanted and bring attention of "how well they are doing outside of Korea". But the truth is that they had no competition that day, their sales were low, and at the end their positions in Weekly/Monthly charts were... tragic. But you still could see their fans bragging about it on twitter or any other sns lol.

    Thank u

Aside from the sales how r they doing digitally?
