  1. FMAB is really great. You should watch it. The openings and endings are bomb too.

Honestly, there are more times I get disappointed by an anime adaptation than anything. They change many things and sometimes important parts are left out or altered. Kinda frustrating. But then there are adaptations which are really great so really, it depends on the manga.

  2. to add some discussion to this thread: are there misconceptions about jk that you wish to correct?

mine is about the word "oppa"..

I think ever since that infamous fansign vid from 2016 where he told fans he's not an "oppa", armys have taken this moment and misinterpreted it to mean that jk hates being called oppa in general or has issues with girls or something when It's not.. because of that? oppa is an honorific term that younger girls use to call guys older than them. The only issue jungkook has with the term is when girls older than him uses it, and he's absolutely right, because it's kind of weird.

idk I just saw a vid from a recent fansign where jk responds to someone calling him oppa and the replies were all along the lines of "omg he changed" "he doesn't hate being called oppa anymore" etc

he never hated it lol everyone just misunderstood him.

That "oppa" thing, I'm honestly not surprised it spread so far what with how most i-fans don't bother to comprehend basic things about korean culture. It reminds me of the twisted use of "senpai" lol. People just don't take the respect most east asian countries have seriously.

Misconceptions wise you all sait it all already. I wish people would realize idols are humans and not meant to be categorized and classified with some kind of hashtags who end up defining them forever, when they grow and change like everyone else.

  3. Maybe I'm weird for this but there's this popular hand gesture I just can't stand at all.

There are so many male celebrities (and commoners alike) who do it as though it's cool or something. How people find this sexy is beyond my comprehension. It makes my toes curl in discomfort and I find it patronizing for some reasons I can't explain.

  4. Very unpopular op: The MVs of bts' title tracks have lost their re-watching value to me and their intros are much better than the actual comebacks.

The more they went further with the theories and aesthetic, the more I realized I didn't care for the mv. Not that I don't find them impressive or beautiful or interesting (I recognize bst and spring day are pieces of work and very well made) but as for me, I just don't feel the need to come back to it that much. Fake love's mv was honestly boring, I don't think I've watched it more than a few times after its day of release. Let's not even talk about dna which I didn't watch more than once. Those CGIs and those colours...

Their mvs during 2014-2015 were the best for me. I actually downloaded war of hormone and dope back then and watched it more than any other kpop mvs, even to this day. People may be calling it "lacking" if they were to compare it with the new ones, but they were much more entertaining in a very simple manner.

And now that's when it become odd to me, because their intros are amazing? Singularity and Serendipity were stunning. Cinematography, use of colour, shots, everything. The only time "aesthetic" had a real meaning for me. It's unhealthy how much I spent time watching it over and over again. Even boys meet evil was great. I'm seriously confused as to why they pour so much quality in their intros but fail to deliver this awesomeness in their actual comeback.

  5. I know koreaboo are a thing and they can be embarrassing (those who use romanized korean :omgwtf:) but I don't really grasp the hate against people who just use some korean words when they talk. I'm not talking about those who say or write online "saranghaeyo opppa!1!" because that's a no-no, but when you listen to a foreign language all day it can naturally slip in your way of talking, even if it's unconscious, just like bilingual people. There is a difference between becoming familiar with a language and showcasing automatisms due to repeated listening and wanting to be another nationality because of cultural obsession. I don't think it's as bad as many make it out to be if it's just some everyday words or habits like aigoo, aish, ani, wae, etc. Sure, it may be cringy but what's so great about looking down on someone for a harmless thing like this?

    Sigh :/

This happened for the second time with him and 3rd time with the group if I'm not mistaken, how sick are people who think this is actually funny...

Omg I didn't think he would be asked about it like this...My guts twist, fuck...And then he worries about fans more again.

I need to watch the anpanman stage again to be healed with his cuteness rlytearpls.png
