Hello everyone! It's been long time since the last time i posted here

I'm excited about one more time , i love the beat already, and im not complain if it turn to be new japanese single. Anyone knows how long it take times to promote a single in japan? Since i really cant wait for their first full album. I hope the rumor about sep/oct full album comeback is true.

 

Anyone knows how to handle a thrice in real life? I have a friend (who is a kpop fans) who claimed her self as team talent. She hated twice, and she knows i love jyp and twice so much. I dont hate her and she doesnt hate me. But she always bad mouth about twice even in front of me. I ignore many times but it really getting annoying. I know it's only kpop and we dont need to take it seriously but it really hurts me if she did it to me many times. I told her about this before, she understand at first but she did it again now. She's my classmate until next year.

Remembered when i told here thay i made a whole class (not kpop fans) love twice's song and mv? She told them that twice dont have talent and twice's singing are horrible. Some of my class affected by her, but some didnt care, they knew that kpop is not about talent. As long as they enjoyed the song and by seeing twice the felt happy they didnt care what she said.

 

And also my brother is really into jihyo now. He replays knock knock to watch and praise jihyo's beauty. He has that proud face when i told him that jihyo is the leader. His fav tracks are kk and cu

Does anyone know when RIAJ will report Twice's sales?

i read somewhere that the certification comes out on the 10th. Hopefully they give overall sales too

If they were to use helium, it might have been cute. But they're deliberately singing in that voice as if to diss their haters. That they still win even with bad vocals.

I am of the opinion that we shouldn't pay too much attention to criticism, but we also shouldn't completely ignore it or even go the extra mile to diss it.

They did that while antis are zooming in on their vocals. That's like either ignoring criticism or slapping those antis right in the face. That's when antis will become a lot louder.

Sigh... This is the kind of things they do for fans, not on public broadcast. The 1st place resolution that they promise to do, wearing LOA outfits to dance to Signal. That's the kind of 1st place resolution that is appropriate for public broadcast.

I can see how this is going to get them more hate. They are always getting hated, because they are just that big of a group. However, some unnecessary hate can be easily prevented.

They should know they don't just have ONCE to back them up, they also have antis ready to pounce at every materials they can find to bash. Vocals is the most common thing antis are using, so what the hell is up with this... Could have just dance LOA, Cheer Up, TT, Knock Knock choreography to Signal.

Don't show the bad side of them publicly, show the good side. Singing in that Alien voice isn't cute, it's annoyingly cringey. How I wish TWICE would stop forcing their baby talk all the time, they can be so much more.

This is perhaps the flaw of JYPE. They focus too much on keeping the "rookie" mindset so that they will not become arrogant. However, this "rookie" mindset can sometimes work against them. Because they never become a role model for their hoobaes.

They're announcing the ranking for 1 - 10 place later. So TWICE is likely to win even though no broadcast today.

From the charts, we can infer that KBS have good relationship with Melon. YG have good relationship with Mnet. JYP have good relationship with Genie and Naver.

JYP is experimenting with this track for sure. Some beats in Signal resembles the hit song from Lou Bega - Mambo No. 5. It doesn't have a real chorus, because the entire song is base on certain melody/rhythm.

Basically, SaTzu part isn't the hook, it's more DaChae. However, the hook isn't what we are used to in Kpop. It doesn't stand out, it's simply repetitive (JYP style).

JYP himself did describe his music style as that of Afro-American style. This time, I believe he is trying out the Mambo style. Not your usual Kpop, but it isn't that bad.

The superpowers that EXO have seems more like Final Fantasy, Legend of Dragoon, Rage of Bahamut kind. Very Japanese style. They have a running story line about how they are all from outer space (which is damn cheesy if you ask me). I am surprised their fans actually take it seriously and believe EXO own that entire concept about being from another planet.

TWICE kind of superpowers resemble that of Marvel and DC. However, superhuman speed, superhuman strength, time travel, hypnotism, doppelganger, X-ray vision/far sight, time stop, invisibility, telekinesis are all very common superpowers that are used all the time. Whether in movie, drama or even a magic show.

What TWICE teasers gives me, is the retro vibe, coupled with some survival elements (Hunger Game). The alien concept is something fans came up with. It's not even official. Kinda like how Like Ooh-Ahh teaser gave off the Walking Dead vibe, but it's actually inspired by Warm Bodies. Who knows, maybe the whole alien concept is totally a misdirection, they are actually primordial beings being warp into a different space/time.

When Nayeon say they have been spoiling since Sixteen, it's because Sixteen and Hunger Game are both Survival concept.

They all have super powers, so it's them going against each other. A concept they haven't really explore so far (pillow fight in Knock Knock doesn't count).

Nah, that Hyungdon is as good as Seho... Which is basically to snap at celebrities on his show, being very blunt to catch people off guard. Weekly Idol have awesome editing to make segments with him seems not so awkward.

Just check out Hitmaker, you can see his style of hosting is always self centered. The most recent one, you can see how he complain about Jackson immediately when Jackson enter through the door as 1 of the judges. Most of his complains were harsh and not a joke, but people have to pretend it is a joke to get through the shoot.

To be honest, TWICE match well with Heechul. Hyungdon just seems like a anti to JYP groups. If you check out the episodes with Wonder Girls, Miss A, GOT7, TWICE. All of which, Hyungdon is extremely picky.

I am thinking the choreography could be inspired from Beyonce - 7/11, a song that they use in Sixteen. So far, TWICE had use songs from Sixteen for their special performance. Such as U-Go-Girl, Uptown Funk, Hands Up, Who's Your Mama. I'm Gonna Be A Star was even make into a full song. So maybe the spoiler is that their choreography is inspired by the lyrics of 7/11.

I am rooting for FIN42, but it seems like FIN58 will reach Helsinki first.

I think they're going to have their M/V film in Helsinki. This explains why there was a huge gap in TWICELand concert between Thailand and Singapore. I mean, base on their popularity within SEA region and East Asia, it makes no sense to only restrict TWICELand to South Korea, Thailand and Singapore.

Neglecting Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, all of them are capable of gathering at least 5,000 ONCE per show. And then you have Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, all of which are more than capable of gathering much bigger crowd as that's where their popularity explodes...

The only logical conclusion is that they are having another comeback soon. JYPE didn't deny TWICE having a comeback soon, they simply mention the date isn't confirmed. If you think about it, it could also means the M/V isn't filmed yet hence they can't confirm the date of comeback.

Now you have official tweet about TWICE TV 5 From Seoul to Helsinki. The budget for TWICE TV is not very high. It's just a marketing tool for TWICE to get closer to ONCE. They don't need a huge crew to produce it. The marketing audience is also very restricted to ONCE. For them to have a TWICE TV 5 film out of South Korea, and that far away to Finland. I can only imagine it to be in connection with their next comeback. TWICE TV 5 is simply a behind the scene footage for their M/V.
 

If this is just a holiday, they wouldn't even announce it officially. TWICE is a money tree for JYPE, any time off of doing schedule means a loss of income. The opportunity cost for simply doing TWICE TV 5 in Finland is not worth it in the grand scheme of things. 

That's why the logical conclusion is if it's to film for their next comeback, or even an international endorsement/CF that is willing to pay for their trip there.

I did make a theory previously.

Personally, I like them in June to fit the 4 months per comeback this year. However, the May dates are very attractive all things considered. If they have a comeback in May, they could easily have a surprise encore concert in Korea before going to Japan.

June 12 and June 19 are just as attractive. Make a Korea comeback to hype up their Japan debut. Promote for 2 weeks then debut in Japan.

Here are the possible dates for TWICE comeback, after TWICELand Singapore (Apr 28), before Japan debut (Jun 28). All on Monday to take into consideration of music charts change.

May - 1, 8, 15, 22, 29

June - 5, 12, 19, 26

I believe May 1 is quite rushed considering their Singapore concert. However, May 1 being a public holiday (Labor Day), May 5 is Children's Day, TWICE concept does fit with the occasion. May 8 is Father's & Mother's Day. There's no school during the period of May 1 to May 5. If I am JYPE, I believe that's the golden date to drop a comeback.

All May dates are technically reasonable to allow them ample time to promote in South Korea. They can also take advantage of the fact that university are gonna have events and perhaps they can snatch up solo school concerts just like in Cheer Up. Or perhaps, even an encore concert in South Korea after promotion ends for new comeback.

For June dates, if we were to assume TWICE is having 3 weeks promotion period. Then only June 5 and June 12 make sense. June 19 is possible if they were to promote only 1 and a half week and miss out on some music show wins. 26 of June is impossible unless they are not promoting in South Korea.

Just a few dates to avoid are 22 - 25 May (Senior final exam), 2 - 9 June (High School final exam). By elimination method, 22 May and 5 June are bad dates to comeback.

So out of those dates, I am incline to believe May 1, May 8, May 15, May 22, May 29, June 5, June 26, June 12 and June 19 are the candidates for their comeback.

I think if this becomes one of the top comment on their M/V youtube comment, it will help non-kpopper get into TWICE. Other than that, I believe a gif compilation for each of TWICE (along with their audio during their part) may get people into TWICE. After all, if people saw their M/V, they might be able to find out the members' name. For those who aren't into TWICE, they probably won't be interested to know their name.
