  1. Man I'm so salty right now, I don't know how you all so positive when I can see most of you didn't like the song..... IDK if it was the 14 months of waiting + the hype but in all honesty this was very dissapointing Out of all the big companies YG is now without a doubt the worst one, in the past if you were a fan of a YG group or artist you always had to deal with low idol content, no promotions, very little merchandise, no special appearances in shows, among MANY other things but at the very least at the end of the day, they delivered bops, and we let it slide because the songs were good but now we get a song that is just passable?, nah this is YG just being lazy and in all honesty is our fault for letting it slide so much I'm going to try to be positive and really hope the girls do some shows at least to make this comeback "passable"
  2. In all honesty culture appropiation conversations are so fucking complicated and never end well here on OH! because people are going to see it way differently depending on their upbringing, especially westerners that are minorities, since they are "attacked" more in the western world for their culture they will be more protective over it, on the other hand someone who is from the motherland of said cultures may be happy that other people from other cultures embrace theirs.
  3. I saw 2 people fighting over this, one on each side, it was very interesting What's your take?
  4. I always liked an analogy a political streamer gave about this situation , that made me understand it perfectly (that pretty much is similar to how Billie says it), when we have things like "Cancer Awareness Month" we are not saying people should not be aware of other sickness, like HIV for example, or that they are any less important, but it's good to be aware of the problem that is cancer and not try to diminish it with something like "Let us have an ALL sickness awareness month instead", same goes for BLM right not they are addressing police brutality on black people but it doesn't mean police aren't violent to other races.
  5. I don't expect much and people shouldn't either, remember that even in Korean social issues most idols stay silent, if they don't talk about the skeletons in the closet they have at their house there's no way in hell they will talk about American police brutality on POC Plus the few Korean artists that are kinda aware of the issues (Jessi, Jay Park, etc.) did speak about it, and it's better that artist that are aware of this say something instead of an idol who can't speak or read English, or has any knowledge of these topics, who would probably get information from bias media, that god knows how they will spin the story
  6. I actually have a story of EXACTLY what you are talking about, so this friend of mine, who is a Koreaboo, got out of a relationship and said that her next boyfriend HAD to be INSANELY good looking because her past boyfriend lacked looks, and she at least wanted to have the memory of dating a really good looking guy if it didn't work out, up to that point I don't see anything bad we all are petty and shallow to some level and guys do it all the time we all have seen this ugly dude with the cute girl, but you see she wanted something insanely good looking like if you were latino you had to look like Ricky Martin in his prime, if you were black you better look like Michael B Jordan, and if you were white you better look like Chris Evans, so basically this bitch wanted a grade A Sirloin stake served in her 1 dollar Christmas plate that are sold in July, now for months she was saying even dudes that were 8 or 9 in looks were ugly, I'm talking guys that are tall, go to the gym, dress well, you know solid picks, so she starts dating this Asian dude, and if you think this dude looked like a KPOP visual, you are insanely wrong, 5ft4 chubby dude who looks like any Asian dude you have seen, and when asked "What happened to "Project Handsome Boyfriend?" this girl answered " Well if he wears boots to look taller, loses weight and gains a little muscle, he could potentially be a solid 6", so all her shit talking of guys being ugly went down the drain cuz her Koreaboo ass wanted to ride a Korean dick.
  7. Oddly enough by comparing with other idols, Mijoo is one of the "curvier" ones in K-POP
  8. The Australian Senate heard an impassioned speech Wednesday as senator Sterling Griff called for ‘all’ Japanese anime and manga to be re-reviewed and examined for child exploitation or pornographic content as a “matter of urgency”. Senator and member of Centre Alliance (fka Nick Xenaphon Team) Stirling Griff questioned the need for immediate re-classification and potential banning of anime and manga in Australia, pointing towards several titles he believes have fallen through the cracks. In particular, Griff pointed towards film Sword Art Online: Extra Edition and animes Goblin Slayer and No Game No Life, with each showing sexually explicit content involving minors. No Game No Life includes underage incest and Goblin Slayer features scenes where underage characters are tortured and raped by goblins. Source: https://junkee.com/japanese-child-anime-ban-australia/244075 GG lolis you lasted way longer than I expected In all honesty as an Anime fan I always wondered how come all the "loli" porn and even how "lolis" are sexualized in ecchi or even normal anime was viewed as fine. Finally I'm going to see a neckbeard on court say: "Actually your honor she's not a 12 year old, she's a 5,000 year old dragon-witch"
  9. I always wonder what people think when they do stuff like this and why no one stops them Some dumbass says "let's use blow-up dolls as fans" and not a goddamn soul says "You know.... maybe that's not the best idea"
  10. Bruh it amazes me how Korean and international fans never seem to agree on 99% of things Either way this doesn't surprise me, people are very happy when their country has some kind of cultural impact in other countries IMHO I think it's cringe but in all honesty its not "bad", they did get more hate than they deserved in all honesty
  11. I meant that my people are short, on average men here are under 1.70 (5'7) and women are under 1.60 (5'4), it's just that me and my friends are taller than the average.
  12. Actually people in my country (Mexico) are very short compared to other places, me and my friends are aware that we are taller than the average here in Mexico
  13. Like 1.85 (6'1) to 1.9X (around 6'4), to be fair I am a dude but my female friends are also kinda tall around 1.68 and there are 2 girls that are around my height, just a couple of cm shorter but when the wear heels they are taller than me unless I wear work boots lol
  14. 1.82 or 6 ft tall, this is my peak I don't think I will grow since I'm in my late 20's but tbh I wish I was taller, I'm the shortest of my friends and I live near my city's sports auditorium, so I feel like a midget when basketball players or other tall athletes come
