Well, what an absolute understatement I made... This mini is unstoppable! And I'm convinced now this is their best mini so far!! Also I must agree with the fact that Moonbyul singing shines almost as much as her rapping here, which is the best it's ever been! It fits perfectly everywhere, has a purpose and her flow slays!!

The amount of people searching for/clicking on Mamamoo this comeback is quite incredible. There is obviously more Moomoos now since YIA as expected, and then Paint Me I'm sure brought on several iMoomoos in too. That said, the quality of Yellow Flower is really making people interested and intrigued. They are starting to pay attention. Since the release of Purple about 9 months ago, the most streamed it's been on Youtube is 65k times. However, Yellow Flower was released about 4 days and has already been streamed almost 3 times more: 171K and I believe will reach 200K after its first full week. These numbers very much match the sales and that's not even considering how quick Yellow Flower is reaching these numbers. Like it's only been half a week lol The field is more fertile than ever!!

Although "Rude Boy" is the bop out of the two, "Bomta" is so chill and is much more soulful with delicious melody! Honestly, both songs are fantastic!! Been a while since Mamamoo has released such Urban/R&B influenced songs and it sounds so effortless. And I must say, in both songs Moonbyul steals the show for me!! Like...she's blossoming before our eyes and getting hella confortable with what she can do.

Soooo yeah this is on its way to become their best EP for me. So much cohesion and consistent quality music. Spring is definitely the soul of this mini. And their sound sounds so much more authentic, personal, raw! Congrats to our girls!!

20 would be absolutely fantastic. MMM released about 10 songs in 2014, 10 songs in 2015, 20 songs in 2016, and about 8 songs in 2017. This is not even including the IS2 covers (which those arrangements make them unique enough to count as new songs for me). Also we know Mamamoo's working with new international producers (see "Paint Me"), Solar has written at least a couple unreleased songs, Moon had a solo song in their more recent mini and is definitely getting more writing credits this year, Wheein already co-wrote at least one song ("Desperato") and Hwasa recently said she's focusing on writing even more songs this year. So yeah, RBW could do this while keeping the quality we're used to.

I am screamiiiing!!!! During this 9 months draught, the girls secretly planned on CONTINUOUSLY slaying 2018... I don't even realize...

It's actually incredible! A Mamamoo video (MV or live performance) has never been liked this much this fast before!! "Paint Me" is already Mamamoo's 6th most liked video. We can also observe the amount of likes "Paint Me" has amassed: 120k likes for 1.4 million views . In comparison, "Um Oh Ah Yeh" currently has 180k likes for 26,5 million views (a ratio of 0.68). Because I woke up way early, I decided to search and rank most of their current highest likes to views ratio videos, in the snippet.

The 1theK video is trending in the US! How exciting!!! Also, this is Mamamoo's first (in color) official cover with the girls fully revealed on it. Not the esthetically simple logo + unique color themes we've been used to. Could this have something to do with the fact that MMM's now being painted by different colors? A full palette of emotions and memories which have defined them up until now? Are they revealing themselves now for 2018 onward? So many questions.

There was probably an english demo to "Paint Me". And among other songwriters on it, the song credits none other than Kara DioGuardi!!!! I don't think I've ever heard her name attached to any Kpop song and the fact that Mamamoo is having a song virtually co-written by Kara is pretty impressive! I do hope the latter really gets to know Mamamoo for possible future collaborations. For those who are not familiar with Kara, she co-wrote many songs for some of the greatest vocalists: Celine Dion, Kelly Clarkson, Pink, Nicole Scherzinger (within the Pussycat Dolls) and last but not least, Christina Aguilera!!! As a matter of fact Kara co-wrote most of Aguilera's old-school, retro jazz, soul influenced Pop/R&B critically acclaimed and Grammy nominated 2006 (and one of my top favorite) album "Back to Basics" which birthed the Grammy winning song "Ain't No Other Man" (co-written by Kara) for "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance". Not to sound too preachy about her, but I think the fact that her and Mamamoo's name share the same print on a song, is a big deal in my opinion (at least in terms of achievement for the girls). I have no idea how more involved Kara will be (if at all) in Mamamoo's musical growth, but she would definitely be a valuable asset for a possible international expansion of the Mamamoo brand/music/genre. Amazing, emotionally intense song. And catchy!!!! All this is, is a piano and their voices! No complicated instrumental! And they slay! That was....yeah a transition!! We're witnessing the artistic growth and evolution of Mamamoo as we know them and I'm loving everything about it!! So proud of them, but Moonbyul is the real gem here for all the reasons we already know of. Can't wait for the many doors Moonstar's blossoming opens for this quartet!!! SKorea will definitely love it!! 2018 is really a special year for us Moomoos.
