First of all, I can't currently think of a most powerful Mamamoo song!

I can't either. A shame that there may never be an MV to this.

For a rushed song, KDH and Park Woosang really created something amazing. And it rightfully performed the best across all charts among the other Queendom songs.

The english was so unexpected too! I'm so here for this and more english in the future too!

  2. i think so. they should definitely capitalize on her current hype and lay the foundation. i don’t know when it’d happen but i’d love to see her with a solo that gets promo on music shows.

I think RBW should really consider taking advantage of that hype for MMM as a group. People now will be checking out their next song and that could either kill the hype or make them even bigger.

My only worry is that they most likely can only do this with a powerful performance focused song like Decalcomanie or Egotistic, which would not fit Winter Season (as opposed to a potential slow-tempo chill song to finish the 4Seasons project).

RBW really needs to schedule strategically now. A Hwasa proper solo release is definitely something that could be considered indeed.

A quick comparison would be Ariana Grande whose team very strategically released the biggest song her career like a couple month after the release of her latest album because time-wise it made sense given everything she was going through. And I'm sure that wasn't planned when the album got released.

Given the background music during Solar and Hwasa solos performance at MAMA, I'm actually really confident RBW can produce something really hot for their next steps!

  3. It's so absolutely ridiculous and laughably blatant how much certain powerful people in the industry feel threatened by Mamamoo. Time and time uh-gain.

How more timely could this post about Wheein be?! How many times more in the future?

This time they had to dig up family matters and she isn't even responsible at all for what happened.

Hopefully the #wheeinloveparty cheers her up right before their new performances schedule!!

  4. Sorry to kind of be the wet blanket here but I see this opinion about the Chorus credit being spread elsewhere as well so I wanted to clear it up.

No, the Chorus credit is not a songwriting credit. Mamamoo get credited for "Chorus" because they do the vocals, even the background vocals just as other musicians get credited for instrumentation. It's not a lyrics or melody writing credit. All lyric writing credits for Mamamoo songs are under Lyrics and melody writing is under Composition/Music. Production credits are listed under Arrangement.

Thanks for clearing this up. I can only dream now that one day wthplz.png

Not that I need a reason; but just want y'all to know how much I love Piano Man - the song itself and ofcourse their live performances. I fell for Hwasa and the group with Mr Ambiguous, so was eagerly anticipating their next comeback. PM was everything I needed and more and it solidified them as the #1 gg and Hwasa a UB for me. I just love Hwasa's adlibs and the harmonising during the Yeah yeah yeah yeahs. It's the song I keep going back to the most and every time I do I find new things to love about it.

Yep, it's with this live that I started to realize (literally about 15 minutes after discovering them and watching Piano Man's MV for the first time) that they were a very different and special group that NEEDED my careful attention!!!

Within that hour, a couple more live performances and I was STANNING (a kpop group for the first time ever and since)!!!!
