If you read some of Sungjong's interviews, he has talked a lot about fashion, modeling and design. His fans gift him with western fashion magazines and he studies them and even has favorite models.

There were a lot of suspicious stuff that happened around that time but one of the ones that i remember the most are these two gifs going around without a source (and disappearing pretty quickly too). On their own they aren't proof of much because we all know that Myungsoo is a clingy and affectionate person but their hairstyles, outfits and the timing make me almost positive that these came from the after party of Infinite's One Great Step concert in Seoul which is the one time that Myungsoo was seen in public with the alleged girlfriend. So one, why are you hanging on your group member when your supposed girlfriend is there and two, who released this and why? If you put everything together with the girl being obviously fake (all of her "couple items" were known gifts to him from fansites and the picture of the hand on her hair was her friend and probable real boyfriend that was seen wearing the same bracelet) and then how it is now known that she was in contact with the Woollim hating journalist from The Fact around the time of the scandal, I think it is highly likely that the rumor was about them. I think that there is more to the video these gifs came from and it has to be pretty damning because with skinship and fan service it would take something real obvious to prove a gay relationship in Korea. With all of the suspicious things that were happening around that time and the merger and everything, I think that the blind item was about them and Woollim had to do some paying out and covering up. I still don't think that the girlfriend was originally a company cover up and it was just that girl looking for attention to jump start her acting career but I do think that the company told him to be friendly to her because her father could help his career (remember him crying in the Grow movie and saying that "they told me it would be good for my career" and the way that what he was saying about the scandal was obviously edited) and when the girl pulled her publicity stunt the company eventually decided it would be best to go along with it.

I'm so happy for Sungjong that he got a fashion based show so he can be involved in something that he loves.

Oh, how I wish that there was a good quality video of his full solo performance of that day. Especially for Dangerous because that looks like it was amazing. I'm so sad that this is all we will ever see of it.

I have been an Infinite fan since their debut and Sungjong has always been my favorite and I can tell you that even though he plays the cute maknae role very well, he really is the most mature one in the group. I think it is probably because he hasn't lived with his family since he was in middle school and had to grow up faster than most. He is a very sweet and friendly person though and very social. He has a lot of idol friends (mostly female but some guys too). When Infinite are backstage during music shows, Sungjong is the one that runs around socializing with other groups the most. He has tried to help the other guys meet girls too, especially Hoya but Hoya was so awkward that he gave up. Woohyun once said that Sungjong is the best member to bring to the club when you need help meeting people. Sungjong loves horror movies and fashion, his fans give him Western fashion magazines as gifts and he studies them and has favorite models. One of his other hobbies is bike riding. One of his fan sites gave him a really nice bike a couple of birthdays ago and he enjoys riding it by the Han River.

I agree with you. I think that Sungjong has finally gotten his confidence back and I'm so happy for him. I really hated seeing him being so self conscious and withdrawn for awhile. He is naturally such a cheerful and lively person and he really does put his all into everything that he does. He has been doing really well on variety recently and I hope that he can get a fixed position on a show. He did a good job when he co-hosted Super Idol Chart show but unfortunately it got canceled too soon. Also, it would make me very happy if people start posting here again. I used to come here sometimes and post things but I was starting to feel lonely with hardly anybody posting.

Good for him. Don't let anyone shame you. I wish that he and Sungjong get a chance to meet and become friends one day.

I agree with your choices of suspect couples. There are only a very few ships within the same group that I think have much basis beyond fan service and they are: Yunho and Jaejoong - really obvious Key and Jonghyun - like you I don't know if the feelings were mutual or if it was fan service gone too far but Key obviously got hurt Sungjong and Myungsoo - super obvious and the girlfriend was very fake if you look into it. The way that they avoid interaction in public now has only made them more suspicious. I actually think that they got caught in 2013 and were almost exposed. Woollim has been doing damage control. Heechul and Hangeng - this is another one were I don't know if it was mutual but Heechul had real feelings and was obviously hurt. Sungjong is not transgender. He has stated on many, many occasions that he is happy being a man. You can tell even by the way that he used to do drag. Like his Adult Ceremony performance, he didn't wear padding or a wig and didn't even change his makeup. he was just a beautiful young man in a dress. If anything, he wanted to prove that a man can be beautiful and sexy in a way that most people think only women can be. He isn't even really that feminine but more on the androgynous side. He is like a perfect mixture of masculine and feminine qualities.

When people say that you can't stereotype an idol by thinking he is gay just because he is feminine, then proceed to say that he is not gay because he is actually masculine. Do they really not see the flaw in their logic?

I'm so glad she is doing well and I hope that she gets more good roles after this.
