Shhh/Chilli
i love the simplistic style of Hug, their vocals shined through with that song. getting Closer is the darksvt comebcack we could have had but Wonwoo and Mingyu's parts bothers me for some reason.. Home is a great title track, just I'm never fond of the synths used(the horn synth to be specific) and again, Wonwoo and Mingyu's part. Good o Me is a great side track, could have been a great title track too! Shhh is just not my type of song but it's one of the best performance unit song to date.. Chilli is...nnnnnhhhh, I wanna like it because Wonwoo has a new style of rap there that sounds interesting but I never really liked too much use of autotune and vocoder so nnnnhhh.. Overall this mini was great! If you listen to it individually, you won't think that they're from the same album, but listening it together makes sense lol

With how packed their debut showcase is in Japan, I hope so. Those boys needs some rest in between rehearsals (knowing them though, they won't rest but continue to work). But we still have Immortal Songs to look forward to, Svt Cluc, and the random vlives we'll get

welp thanks guys, i guess that saves me about an hour of my life;; i heard they cut their x2 dance but geesh, even their greetings? what was the point of inviting them then smh
They showed josh singing "Sunday morning rain is falling~" then that's it for the greetings.
they wanted our fandom views but couldnt even show the decency by introducing the members on the show. i understand with a million guests the screen time would be limited, but still why cut the most important part?
should have spread the episode into 2 parts and mix up the idols.
On a more positive note, today is Seventeen Club broadcast!

The whole episode disappointed me tbh. They cut the boys so much, even their greetings. I guess I expected too much because mbc released so much behind the scenes pictures, and wonshua was clearly dancing but it wasn't shown ;;

This is possibly my favorite Seventeen song, and yet it gets no MV!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE SHITT
And no, I don't count that concert weak ass montage as the MV... There were fancams Pledis deleted that were better than that.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but Show Champ performance had better camerawork than the 'MV', how sad is that!!!
Shit. I get that there was no time for a super elaborate high-budget music video, but man, they could have done something like Highlight MV at least... Good camerawork, lighting and some color tricks can do wonders. Goddammit
Agreed!! I was really hoping that Pledis would invest in an MV for them because this song is gold, but all we got was crappy filmed performance video. SMH, this was supposed to be a debut of a subunit, not just a special clip, so why the fudge didn't they make a great mv?? A lot of fansites' videos were greater than that MV smh..
On the bright side, at least BSS debuted in the top 100 and are now in the 50s!!!

about MV (since you ask for opinion lol) while i do think its extremely basic, it has alot of VM style production, such as color contrast, i rarely see other companies do because its hard to pull off (which... they couldnt in IPU)
to me it seems like YMC hired a cheap producer who was young and did not have a style nor experience, it explains how low quality mv is and how colors are not properly chosen, MV is painful to watch after a while (to me at least, because i studied color theory and shades are either a bit lower or a bit higher than perfect and it drives me crazy) But i definitely see Change Up, i cant comment on clap and trauma they are seen more general but change up was really blatantly there
Maybe it's for a show but only the hhu is doing it for now? Kind of how they had the mukbang for all units in ch+ in different episodes? It would be so awkward if it's a show only for hhu since 2 people are awkward in cameras (documentary like Vernon and generally awkward Wonwoo), plus their embarassing dad and hyper puppy, lol. Agreed that it would be strangely small if it's a show entirely just for hhu,even with one member missing I feel like it's already so small
oh, threads do get followed, or if a fan is searching up the group name and it shows in the search list, of course they'll be curious what other people are talking about their favorite group. As long as it's not bashing, I think talking about something like this is allowed (esp since the said group's company is known to us as almost always copying svt-as you can see, I'm still not over the fandom color debacle lol).
Lol, first time I saw the MV I actually thought if VM was the one who produced that, but VM is not the type to release MVs with video concept almost identical to another group (or with just a looooot of coincidential similarities) so I scratched that thought away.
I also noticed the colors, but not to that extent cause I am not really the artsy type to focus on them. I think they generally just used bright-ish colors? Also I'm curious what made you think of Change Up aside from the cassette? The trauma reference people must have seen are those shots in IPU wherein one of the member looks forlorn and alone in one shot? Kind of like Wonwoo's scene in trauma? I can't remember which exact member that was cause I only watched theur MV once hehe For Clap, generally just the colors and party kind of vibe? But as I said before, most mvs that are youth-oriented had those shots so I'm not really fussy with it

I'm sorry but why is no one talking about IPU (w1) and svt Clap era MV similarities? Producer literally ripped everything from Change Up, Clap and Trauma...
Saw a lot of similarities but we can't really complain anything because seventeen have no copyrights on those concepts plus IPU is really generic, their mv is pretty generic too, kinda like what the usual boy group mv for me? A lot of groups had done something like that already so complaining won't do us any good? That's on my opinion anyway..
Their laugh is really everything..
