Just when I did appreciation for her solos Heaven listened to me but seriously I'M HYPED FOR HER SOLO. I love SHY and I would love them to debut but Yuri (not being biased) has big potenial as a solo. I would love to see her do hip hop-R&B concept like Ciara. People are saying that she can't sing but we, Yuri fans know that she actually can. She's indeed not amazing but she can do more than holding note. Her lower range has potential. I think she's at the level of Lee Hyori tbh. We don't have to talk about her dancing skills, we all know she's great dancer. When she wants she can be really charismatic and sexy. I really have high expectations, so I hope it'll not end as rumor and if it'll be real SM will not screw her up. About results we don't know. I think when it comes to digitals she will do mediocre but she's still SNSD so people still will tune on her, so I don't think she will fully flop. Her album sales will be debut probably but good enough for solo. She will not do well as Taeyeon for sure but we know that she wanted to try this for longer time, so how much sales results are important ofc, her music/performances response will be the most important.

I just wanted say smth about the battle between 4th Generation groups, who will be New NGG (how ironic that I-netz care so much about this title and don't even know if it'll be one). Honestly, maybe some fans here will not like how I said this but don't expect Red Velvet to be #1 girl group over there. Reason? They're too unique, different from standards of how girl group normally should be, same as fellow SM group- f(x) and 2NE1. They're too quirky, their songs are infectious but they're not the type everyone will like and most of people will not like them after first listen. All these differences and unique traits are both strenghts and weaknesses. So if you stan Red Velvet hoping they'll be the 'one top' girl group, don't have high expectations. I love these girls because (not wanting to bring down other new girl groups) they have it all; great music and choreographies, visuals, talented vocal line so dance line, their all charming, they're fucking weird sometimes and their concepts are love. K-pop fandoms are truly sad. Obssesion over charts, album sales, digital sales, number of streamings, music videos views, number of upvotes of translated articles. People really want pity their faves against each other claiming by really small margines that their bias group is superior. I guess most of them forgot that they're at most fucking 2 years old and everything can change after next 2. There indeed always be the #1 group and yes, don't expect it to be Red Velvet (I'm not saying that it'll be not them ofc) from reasons I said before. They're meant to give us the weird, experimental part of K-pop. What I want as a big fan is them to be just popular, successful group, don't need them to be #1 and them giving us great music, choreos, concepts. Of course I'm not saying that they will not be 'Second SNSD' or 'Nation's Girl Group' but if they will or won't I will love them as much as I do now. So don't really feel hurt, angry by these stupid theads trying to bring them down.
