Wow - you guys seriously need to see this! Someone needs to post the video (I've watched it ont witter). Jeonghan rapping from his throne, and having the time of his life. This is what I want to see - vocal team doing all of the hip hop tracks, I know they are dying to let their inner thug out ;T Seriously, this whole showcase looked like soooo much fun. -

Okay - okay - okay. Four seconds into the second teaser trailer, and I hit the pause button to comment. THIS is the sound I WANT for 17!!! This is fantastic. You guys know how much I liked DWC, and LILI, and just EDM in general. I am so going to enjoy the heck out of this. This the mature, fresh 17 I was waiting for. And boy --------- the MV too. Simple but effective, the way I prefer it. And those camera shots? That lighting? The style and that choreo? Also, whoever came up with giving Minghao all this screen-time needs a raise. It will happen. It will deffinitely happen. If not right away, than very soon. 17 are really doing everything right, the quality of their music is steadily going up with each comeback, and also, something else I find they do better than pretty much all other idols, is how effective they are in creating hooks and memorable melodies. Just from this small teaser I can sense that. I know it's still early, but I'm already beginning to wonder what the album after THIS one will sound like. -

This is so true about PRETTY U. Upon it's initial release I just couldn't get into it. It was a bit too sweet for my taste, and too cheesy music-wise, so I dropped it pretty quickly. Fast forward to yesterday - and I finally decided to download it as a sole audio-file, since I had only ever listened to the track while watching the MV. And what do you know? ------ all of a sudden, it didn't sound all that bad at all. I'm pretty sure that was also the point where PLEDIS realized that they had to up their game when it came to the MV production aspect and budget. And look where they are now? People are complimenting them for their bright and stylish MV's, which are quickly becoming another 17 trademark. And rightfully so. The company responsible for them is really doing a fantastic job with a relatively small budget at hands. I would really hope so. I know it was pretty much one of those "hate it" or "love it" kind of tracks, and it DID alianate many 17 fans, but I loved it to pieces. It's where I would want the boys to go music-wise; not the EDM route in particular, but a more trendy approach really suited them well, and worked to their advantage. Sure, they have been very successful so far. But they are still depending mostly on their fans to carry them - which is absolutely ok and hardly a bad thing at all, since pretty much all idols depend on their fanbase during those early years, (many even throughout their lifetime). But I get a strong feeling that 17 are aiming for more than just that. In that sense, they remind a lot of bts. Of course their albums have become more mature with each new comeback, but they have definitely adapted their sound to a more trendy style in terms of musical colourpallette. I wouldn't be surprised to see them alongside idol bands like WINNER or HIGHLIGHT in a two years, who do really well in terms of public recognition for boybands. _____________________________________________________________________________________ But I'm not sure if they are yet (or ever) ready to leave behind their old MANSAE days. I'd just like to know, how much of that is their own decision, and how much out of consideration for their younger fanbase. Tracks like MANSAE and AJU nice have been taking up less and less place with each new album, and were even completely absent from Al1. It makes me wonder if they included CLAP as some sort of reassurence for fans. Because if you take that one track out, TEEN AGE has not a single one of their old funk hits in it. For this reason alone I am really looking forward to the coming month. Whether this album turns out to be a repackage or something else altogether, I want to see where they headed next title track-wise. _________________________________________ Also ------------------ before I forget it, do you think it is possible that the boys have some sort of special track for the winter olympics planned? Since they are about to hold their final fanmeeting on feb third, and the JAPAN tour is starting around feb 25 (?), I'd say it's pretty safe to assume that the comeback is happening around the fourth or fifth of february. The latter seems more plausible, for the simple reason that it would allow the boys one more day for rest and preparation. But if that really is the case, I wonder if it could be possible. I'd certainly hope so. SEVENTEEN would be such a perfect fit for it. I can so see them sweeping the floor during that opening ceremony, especially with their super big formation - it would be a cool sight. Maybe a remix of one of their recent tracks? -

Looking at the shoes Vernon's wearing, I wonder if the way they are build wasn't responsible for the many slip ups and accidents that occured during the Idol olympics. I'm a runner myself. I use thicker soles to not overwork my feet for the majority of the time, but they are not as noticeable as the ones 17 used during the event. And a sole that is as thick as the one in the pictures above is practically suicide for any serious sport. Shoes like that are comfortable for taking long walks, but running - not so much. -

First of all, TINA, I reaaaaaalllly enjoy exchanging thoughts and impressions with you. There is just something very satisfying about being able to let it 'all out', so to speak, without being anxious about the other person taking it as bashing. You know how much I enjoy going back and forth this way, and especially with someone who, not only doesn't minds these very specific issues, but also doesn't shy away from bringing up concerns of their own.(In a sense, I am a very technical listener, when it comes to music in general, and discussing genre, style, use of instrumentals, EDM, following the trend, ect, is really interesting to me.) You hit the nail right on the head with your third paragraph - the boys are pretty much going where I hoped they would, with the exception of their title tracks. I dig all of the progress and change they've gone through so far. I also think that whoever is responsible for their image is doing a REALLY GOOD job so far on not going overboard, and changing too much too quick. All of the above are, imo, well executed emotional songs, that are way more mature than what one would expect from a group as young as 17, this especially goes for the earliest songs like 20 and When I grow up. I think, if you just focus on those you'll still have plenty to enjoy from 17 in the future. Even though they are steering away from that direction music wise, I don't think they will completely drop it. Also ---- another thing to keep in mind is, that there is a very high possibility of 17 going solo at some point or another or forming some sort of sub-unit like they already did; and with someone like Seungkwan and DK in the group, who have already showed a great desire in this more ballad type of style approach, I'm sure that there'll be something for you specifically to look forward to very soon! -

Hmmm --- this is quite interesting, because even now, I still get this fresh/youthful vibe from them --- and even stronger than when they debuted, which is especially noticeable when they are on stage together. It's simply a more adult version of care-free and crazy. The execution on stage, and the energy are still very much the same. I see where you are coming from, but for me, they really haven't changed that much at all when it comes to their identity. They were much younger then, so you'd expect them to be way more nonchalant and flippant on stage, but I feel like they never completely dropped that attitude. They matured and adapted. The "mature/serious/edgy" tracks outnumber the "fun" tracks with each album, so I can see where plenty of fans would be a little thrown off by this 'switch'. Also, the number of tracks keeps growing with each new album, which only increases the chance for not liking all of them, because, Instead of one "edgy" song, suddenly there will be five or six or even more of the sort. Yes, the boys do 'act' different, according to track and mood, but even so, there is (at least for me) always the 'typical' 17 charm present. Even with more serious and moody titles such as "Fast Pace" or (going way back) "ROCK", "DWC" the boys always managed to perform in a sense that made them so recognizeable from miles away. They do "sexy", "hard", "cool", "sweet", "fun", "crazy", and many more --- but they always do it 17 style (for me). Another thing I noticed is, that, unlike a lot of people, I don't really make a distinction between the units. Even if it seems impossible and a very unlikely match, 17 somehow always manage to make it work, so that every genre/direction works for them as a whole team. This is also why I can see tracks like Check in or CHANGE UP becoming the boys future trademark. For me, these tracks contain everything that made 17 stand stand out so much, only with a trendier package. ____________________________ I consider tracks like "CLAP", and "BOOM BOOM" as 'safe' choices, because they are exactly what people/fans expect from them. Now, depending on your personal preference, or style, or expectation - this can be either a good, or a bad thing. These songs are, without a doubt 17's colour, and make them easily recognizeable, even now, but the 'shock' factor lessens with each new album that has yet another "MANSAE" as a title, so to speak. I'd say that, up until AJU NICE, I was fine with this approach. But BOOM BOOM is where they overdid it for my taste. By this point, I was ready to move on from this type of song. Not because it was bad by any means, or because I was getting tired of the fresh/youthful attitude, but it simply didn't evoke the same excitement in me any longer. The jump from AJU NICE to BOOM BOOM wasn't noticeable, which is what I was most looking forward to, by this point. DWC in contrast, felt like an earthquake or thunder rolling over my head. It changed everything. I haven't been as excited for a 17 comeback (or any comeback actually) as I was for this one. From the teasers to the fotos and style - it was just soooooo different from before, and yet, oddly enough, it felt like a match made in heaven. SO yeah, in a sense, I really DO NOT (:T) want them to do something completely different than before, because, imo, apart from the title tracks (with the exception of DWC) they HAVE indeed been doing things radically different from before with the rest of the album. -

It's really only just the main titles where I get the feeling they do hold back. Maybe holding back might not be the correct term, more like, they feel the need to include a track like MANSAE and ADORE U, so to not alienate the fans too much. I remember feeling really startled when CLAP played, during my first listen of TEEN AGE. It felt like a track that belonged to LOVE LETTER or even earlier, that's how great the difference between it and the rest of the album appeared to me. It's a super fun track, and definitely grew a huge deal on me over the past two months (I didn't really like it upon release), but after Al1 ---- and especially after DWC, I was not expecting 17 to go back to their old 'safe' choices. It's not even so much that it's not a mature track, because I don't mind cheerful and fun tracks at all, it simply felt like a step back for me. And lol at your second paragraph ;T I know how fond you were of Love Letter (correct?). I was actually 'hoping' that the past few months might have changed your mind a little bit and that TEEN AGE would have grown on you perhaps? -

@mira @Tina B No, I agree with both of you, 17 are really doing a fantastic job. Both, Al1 and TEEN AGE were the right step for them, and gave off a much different vibe than their previous albums. The majority of their tracks really shows how much they have matured over the past year. The difference in quality and charm is truly shocking in some cases. The only area that I see most affected by their super young fans are the main title tracks. DWC was really an exception I felt - for every other comeback they have gone the same, and more 'safe' route, by picking title tracks more similar to ADORE U, MANSAE and AJU NICE - both in music style and execution. Especially with TEEN AGE (which was full of hot tracks!) I felt they could have picked a different song for the title, that would have gotten them a bit more exposure. WITHOUT YOU, which felt like the natural successor to DWC would have been perfect. Sure, they did promote it, but an MV and everything else they did for CLAP would have pushed this even further. CHANGE UP too, feels like it would have been a nice fit. It had 17 written all over it; fun, mature, fresh, and a real banger. The other thing is ---- actually, I don't feel like 17 has changed all that much music wise. I think a lot of people get that impression because they only ever bothered to listen to their main tracks, but, imo, they have always been very edgy with the majority of their tracks. I've always paid most attention towards their b-sides, and was really glad they did not drop that 'harder' side of them as the years wet by. -

I was just listening to ROCKET and thought it was about time to write some nice lines for Vernon - because he definitely deserves them. If you ask me, he's the all-rounder of 17, coming out super strong in pretty much every aspect, be that dancing, rapping, producing, writing lyrics, and even singing. And he does all of that with so much style and charisma, all the while looking effortless. Look what big jumps he's made since debut. With every comeback, I can see and feel his impact growing bigger and bigger. He's had his hand in many tracks, including some of 17 best, like ROCKET, CHANGE UP. Just in general, I feel like his musical influence over 17 is getting bigger the more years go by, and even Woozi has said mentioned, that he considers Vernon really skilled when it comes to producing, and even went ahead to call him a natural in this field. I have super high expectations for this kid. It' only a matter of time, before Vernon grows the confidence to make himself even more visible in the music scene. I wouldn't be surprised if he was secretly working on some solo stuff already. Maybe something after 17's next comeback. I'm really curious what he has in store for us. Well done Vernon ;T I expect BIG things from you! -

This definitely explains A LOT when it comes to some of their concept/title track choices. But seeing these numbers was quite a shock, to be honest. Of course I was very much aware that they would attract younger fans with the musical style they started out with - but I truly didn't expect the numbers of super young fans to be quite this high. I wish it were different. I feel like the conscious effort to remain 'relatable' for a certain age group forces them do repeat their earlier hits, like MANSAE and ADORE U, rather than allowing them to evolve more naturally. Look at TEEN AGE as an example - the difference between CLAP and pretty much every other song is like day and night. Compare it to the much more mature and darker FLOWER/TRAUMA/PINWHEEL. And even other 'fun' tracks, like ROCKET and CHANGE UP have a much more mature sound in comparison. If you were to ask me what I'd really wish for the most for the boys next comeback this February, it would be a solid smash hit. Something big and loud to really propel them to the next level, and widen their audience - and, ultimately, get them more adult fans. -

Yo, yo, yoooooo -------- everyone holding up well in the new year? I just got here to congratulate the boys for winning the BONSANG. Well deserved, as always. Though I'm still not quite sure what category they won it for, but I believe it is for the ALBUM. I also heard there is going to be another comeback in Februrary, which is pretty cool, since time just flew by so quickly for me these past few months, and it kinda feels like CLAP was jsut released the other week or so. Can't wait for that. Ok - that will be all for now. Happy new year everybody. Hope all your dreams and wishes are going to fulfill this year. -

"A few years ago, I was crying and whining at my mom and sister while I was really drunk. I asked my mom and my sister.. it wasn’t long after we’d moved. I asked them if they were happy. I got drunk and woke up my entire sleeping family, like some ahjussi. It had been my number one goal in life, you know, to make my mom and sister happy. They both woke up and told me they were happy. But I was so envious at the fact that they were able to reply that they were, indeed, happy. Because it wasn’t like that for me. I told them while sobbing: "I want to be happy too." Then I felt like I’d done my mom and sister wrong. But from then on, I started contemplating about happiness. For about six months, I pondered specifically over what I would need to do in order to become happy. I think that time of transformation has come. I think I need to become happy, now. I must become happy. I am going to be happy." --------------------------------------------------------- For people thinking that his suicide had anything to do with his musical career. The words above should be enough to make obvious that he was in a lot of pain throughout his life. He seemed to have suffered from depression from a very early age on, and it never got better. A number one hit wouldn't have made him better - ten number one hits wouldn't have done that. It only would have bought him some time. It's really heart-breaking that he suffered so much he didn't see any other way. I was never a Shinee fan (nothing against them), but Jonghyun always left a good impression on me. I don't think there was ever anything negative about him. He was respectful, nice, humble, supporting and made trainee life a lot easier for many of his younger comrades. A truly good guy has left the world today. -

He definitely never gave me the impression of being truly happy. Just a general first impression, and also, a lot of the lyrics I did read but mostly, his answers on interviews when he was asked something other than music. Those really stood out to me. People have this image in their head about depression, that a person smiling and even laughing cannot seriously be suffering, but there's more to depression than having suicidal thoughts. Lack of sympathy for others around you, lack of motivation, not being able to envision your own future, a general feeling of being burdened all the while, not being able to read books because of a lack of focus, no joy in hobbies that used to be fun before, feeling anxious and nervous all the time, being unable to participate in social situations, brain-fog...ect. And those are just a few I could think of right at the top of my mind. I've had some courses in college that dealt with this and it was an enlightening experience to hear people talk about this and read their thoughts on the matter. But I learned something, one of the easiest ways to find out if someone your are suspecting of being depressed, is to ask them whether they feel happy and satisfied with their life, and what their plans are for the future. Also - you'd be surprised what a simple "Are you ok?" could do. -

Yup, yup - I've always been a fan of the Woozi -Jeonghan - Dk - Vernon dynamic ------ don't ask me why, but that's always been one unit, I'd love to see realized some day - if only for reasons of sheer lunacy. This is the video I've been talking about. It's a sort of improvisation, and Woozi really nails this. You can see a lot of his 'trade-mark' moves too, which I find really adds even more to his coolness. Jeonghan is really a natural when his confidence levels are high enough. Even thought they are both not taking this a hundred percent serious, I like the vid for how steady it is. Look how 'light' Jeonghan seems to be on his feed. He's moving very quickly even though it doesn't really seem like it's taking a lot of effort for him. Seungkwan, in comparison looks more dijointed. Another one - this is from 17's survival show before debut. They had to perform in front of a school of lower grads, and was among the first things I ever watched with the boys. This was also the moment Jeonghan cought my eye. I remember being reaaaally impressed by his stage presence during this point. The "I know you want me" part gives me goosebumps every single time.---skip right to 21:50 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCp7mU_QzBk -

Actually, I've personally always considered Jeonghan to be among the very best dancers in 17 - Dino, Hoshi and the8 beat him from a technical point of view, but there is definitely something in JH. He was the one I noticed first; not the long hair, but the way he carried himself on stage. Especially during their very early promotions he was really charismatic. I know he's started dancing very late, but you would never be able tot ell this when you watch him on stage. He's very light on his feet, and I also noticed that he seems to possess an almost superhuman ability to defy gravitiy (he jumps really high with very little effort). There's just an overall 'dancer' air about him. As for DK - he's never been anything else but good imo. He's one of those idols who is good at everything, whether that be dancing, singing, being funny, rapping too - he's a true allrounder. Along with Hoshi and Vernon, he's the one I would want to see debut solo. Woozi is a bit of the same as DK, only that there is also producing and writing lyrics to add to his list of skills. Woozi is a very natural dancer. He's so busy with everything else or else he'd be on Hoshi's and Dino's level. Vernon is the same. -

And rightfully so. They released a really strong album with TEEN AGE. In terms of idol bands, this one puts them in the top five for me this year. I was very satisfied with the overall direction they took with it, and consider 5 out of the 13 tracks to be A+. I don't think it'll be enough for a win this year, but they're definitely getting there. In this case, the nomination alone is a success on it's own, and something to be proud of. Really well deserved. -
It was really fuuun, I cans ee now, that the boys really had lots of fun being there. But was it jsut those four minutes, plus the performance or is there another part I didn't catch? Lol ----- the "hook up" question was super fun though, not awkward at all - the hype was for nothing after all.

YOUNG FOREVER is one of my absolute favourites - it is, hands down, one of the most emotionally charged (k) pop songs in recent years for me. It has all of the catchphrases and melodic bridges, but it still manages to make you react, you know? When they reach the part towards the end, and the "Forever, we are young..." chorus is repeated again and again, with a full on "gospel" vibe going on, I honestly get emotional. It's the kind of song, I can listen to forever, without ever getting bored or any less affected. Also, the MV really works very well with the lyrics. And personally, I've always preferred simple but well-shot videos like this one, with shots that actually manage to make you feel something on your own, rather than telling you. SAVE ME is another example of a perfect fusion between catchy chorus line/melodic pop and emotional depth. It doesn't even need actual vocals for the chorus to make it effective. In that sense, it reminds me a lot of BEST OF ME, which I find is build the same way, and, like-wise, does a lot with a very minimalistic chorus. SPRING DAY is different, in that I actually slept on it. I think, I only listened to it once when it released almost a year ago, and have left it very much untouched ever since. It wasn't until a week ago, that I actually stumbled upon it again and decided to give it another go --- and what do you know? ---- my opinion has changed completely. Don't ask me what possessed me back then to turn my back on it so coldly, but nowadays, I'll gladly put it right there, with SAVE ME and FOREVER YOUNG, as one of bts best emotionally charged tracks. The reason why I reacted so ill-favoured towards it on it's initial release was the MV. It simply did not work for me. I found it to be too cheesy and corny and simply not really worth watching at all, so as a result I never went back to it after, and totally forgot about the song. (save for the opening shot with Namjoon, I did not like the direction they took with it) These songs are the type I like the most. The fusion between pop melodies, with catchy choruses, but actual depth too. Don't get me wrong, I like hype tracks as much as your next person; they are a nice way to either, pump you up, or relieve some stress, but I'll pick songs like SAVE ME, and FOREVER YOUNG over those "fun" tracks anytime of the day. (Also - I reeeally love Namjoon's "Too much", "Where U at?" and "What am I to you?", for how simple, yet genuine they sound. On a personal level, these resonate with me the most - and I actually get the feeling that I "get" RM here.)

I know what you mean, and you are right about the camera and audio, but I don't really worry about it much (at all) as it was something that definitely did not affect bts exclusively. The camera's been a mess throughout the evening, and I don't think there was a single performance that I really enjoyed from a visual point of view - like -wise for the sound. And sure, a track like "FIRE", "Save me" or "DOPE" would have been a spectacle but who ever says they won't get another chance to perform on an international stage like this? I'm actually very sure that we are going to see bts hit all of the BIG stages pretty soon. But I can tell you one thing - as soon as I heard the boys being anounced, and heard the cheers going up for them, I was crazy excited. I stayed up until four in the morning just to catch their performance, despite swearing I would not do such a thing. The amount of pride and giddyness I felt when they entered the stage is really something I never thought possible for me. (But you are absolutely allowed to feel about it any way you please, and should not have to feel bad or apologize for having a different opinion. I hope this thread can accept these thoughts too, and actually apply the "LOVE YOURSELF - love one another", and not just promote it elsewhere.) the AMA's were definitely a BIG success for bts, and something they simply had to do. They had nothing to loose by attending, but a lot to win - and you can already see it showing. Dodging the US, or any part of the world that is not ASIA, just out of fear over possible negative comments/reactions/racist bullies ect, is really silly imo, first of all - every singer/band gets hate over the internet and through television. Some of the most famous WHITE and american singers get bashed pretty much every single day, and called much worse than whatever bts has been called, and they live, and don't let it affect them. Also, negativity in general, and bad comments on the internet (twitter, YOutube, facebook) happen in Korea too! Most fans seem to forget that BTS have been called, and treated much worse by "their" own people, so it's not like America is this hateful and racist place, that needs to be avoided at all costs. You simply can't have only positive reactions, but that's ok. Hiding yourself in fear of someone saying something bad about it won't get you anywhere - if that were the case, Justin Bieber shouldn't ever leave his house. It's always been the positive that counts. That's what brought bts where they are right now to begin with, and that's what's continuing to make waves. ____________________________________________________________ Also, here are my two cents on the MIC DROP remix - Super, super good news all around. Lol. These days it's really fun to start twitter in the mornings (something I have never done, or even used before) and hunt for another record bts just set. Also, I really hope that they are going to promote in places in Europe too, now that their American stint turned out sooooo well. I know for a fact that Germany, Austria, Swiss, France and even Italy would welcome them with open arms. (Kommt schon Jungs ;T)

Actually, I'd reeeeaaallly liek for Ellen to make them "squirm" a little! It'll be a lot of fun to watch the boys shocked reactions at some of her questions. I mean, honestly, all you ever hear from them and other idol bands in 90 percent of korean shows is "We're trying to be a better bts next time." "Thank you to our fans, we'll work hard!" - so this will be really something to look forward to! Also - people really need to relax over on twitter. I've seen some of the tweets, and it really makes me curious, just how old most bts fans are. I'm sure the boys won't flinch from hearing the word "sex" either, and, like many people have said already, Ellen is KNOWN for making her guests uncomfortable on some level - and I like that - it's not always predictable as other shows, though I do have to say that she is way past her prime (she used to be more entertaining five years ago). Actually - I'd really like that a lot. But it wouldn't even need to be FULLY in english. Say, if they had about five songs with only english, some others mixed, with and english chorus, and a greater portion of it in general, and the rest in korean it would work too, imo. Of course a step like that always carries the risk of not being able to get past the language barrier. The translations would have to be done by a real pro too. I doubt that even Namjoon, with his english skills, would be able to tackle it by himself. They'd also need to change a lot of lyrics, imo, since a direct translation more often than not simply does NOT work. Maybe, but, tbh, I can understand why people still "won't let it go". BTS have reached a level of success with international fans, that has seldom (If ever) been reached before, not only appearing on the AMA's as actual performers but also having their album on the BB charts for a good while now - those are not little feats by all mean! Also, twitter and all of social media is practically blowing up in trying to keep up with all things bts right now. No other k-pop act has been in the situation they are in right now, you really do have to keep this in mind. Their korean songs brought them here, and with very ittle actual effort on their part (unliek every other korean act before!) I don't see any harm for them in releasing songs in english, if they are really well done, so ---- who knows. RM said they have something big for 2018, and at this point, and seeing the way people are reacting over them, it wouldn't surprise me if an english album is on the way sometime in the near future. (It's not liek people would suddenly stop listening to their korean tracks all of a sudden) They are hot property at the moment. Also - I never see fans complain this way when they release japanese albums and tracks, so why this aversity to english? Sure, it might be the easier language for them to pick up, but it's not like they can't reach a comfortable level of english if they only try a little. You don't even have to be a fluent english speaker to sing it properly, just like a lot of korean singers have a perfect accent when singing in english, but actually "suck" at speaking it. (examples would be DO from EX-O, GD from BB, ect...) The way I see it, the question shouldn't really be the "WHY?", but rather ---------------- "WHY NOT?"

I have nothing but good things to say about BTS owning the AMA's. For everyone who only watched the whole performance on TV only, I can say this ----- you're honestly missing half the excitement if you don't check out some of the AMA in crown fancams during their performance. The fanchants really were no joke! Yet, those chants were almost completely cut-off from the televised airtime. This did not happen to bts only, but still, just so you know --- those girls and boys were reeeeallly giving it their all in that stadium. People have mentioned the weak camera-work already - and, to be honest, the complaints are true, so I have nothing to add here. However, since pretty much every artist that night suffered from the "weak handling" it's not really a big deal, and won't throw any negative light on the boys ----- so no worries there. And yes ------------------------ that stage was REALLY tiny! I have to admit, I was definitely expecting something else. Back -up dancers would probably have been a good idea too, but since bts probably had very little input with those, it's not really something one can - and should - hold against them. It definitely wasn't the most exciting stage to look at, but the boys themselves were really good, and showed zero nerves! All of their expressions and moves were on point. I'm not confusing their stage presence for a badly executed stage and camera-work, and neither should anybody else. They did the best they could, with what they had. This won't be the last chance for the boys to be on a stage like this - so there is lots to look forward too. Now that the people responsible have seen how big of a deal bts are, they are definitely going to put up nicer, and bigger stages in the future. It will happen, no worries about it.

Also - I must really take this opportunity and congratulate RM for his superb english skills. For bts fans and people familiar with them, this is, of course, nothing new, but it really needs to be mentioned just how big of an impact his skills make. He deserves all the praise he gets from everyone for being such a natural when it comes to English. Just imagine what it would be liek for bts otherwise? I do not think, that I am in any way overexaggerrating when I say that there would be only half as much exposure for them if not for his english, probably even less. There would be no interviews, and certainly no live interviews and red carpets like they are happening right now during the AMA's. And it's not only that - but his english skills also make him and all of bts included, just so much more "real", in a sense. It honestly feels like RM is the link between bts and all of their international fans.
