Ahh - I see. I do tend to be very critical with practically anything I enjoy. it's just the way I am. Even if I enjoy a movie or a band, song, picture, I like to pick it appart. I simply love to talk stuff like that over, good or bad. I guess I should have checked my post over to make sure any biting remarks were cut out, since I rarely ever write in english any more.

Dark concept or not, it doesn`t really concern me. If it adds anything to the overall feel,all the better. The thing with mature concepts (and I am not speaking specifically on 17 cb here) is that they often end up being the same thind with a lot of idols, since mature, more often than not equals sexy, smoldering gazes, more skin. Dark concepts are hard to pull of since most idols who try it end up losing the charm that made them stand out in the first place. Instead, we get the cliches. I liked Aju NIce, and once performed live on stage even pretty u manages to summon up some of that specialy youthful energy, but overall, those two songs lacked something Mansae and adore u had, to truly make them stand out the way their debut did. I was expecting them to go a slightly different direction - more mature, but with the same amount of pastel POW ----- if that makes sense. I really do expect a lot from them, probably too much, but I just can`t help it, they truly have me hooked.

Since I am on a spree right now, I thought I should drop in here as well. So...do any of you actually believe, like truly honestly believe, that there is anything more to this relationship than fanservice and some dubious moments cought on camera? If I were to categorize myself, then it would be right up there, in the believer section. Is there more to it than simple friendship? I do believe there is. But I also believe that things between these two are way, WAAAAY more complicated than even the most ill-meaning troll could come up with in their kpop induced luciddreams. Jeongcheol is interesting, but is it really healthy? Hmmmmmm........I have my doubts. Scoups is not the little goody two shoes most people make him out to be ( at least not in this Jeongcheol context.).

Concepts don`t really concern me that much to be honest. I don`t particulary care what they look like - as long as the music blows me away. Since 17 made a name for themselves for being a group that specialises in dance, I do expect them to bring something fresh to the table in that departement. Dancing is something I have always enjoyed, and so far, I have been entertained by 17 choreos, they match that youthful, pastel, energetic feel "Mansae" and "Adore U" give off, and one can tell that they put in a great effort in coming up with those choreas and execute them on stage. But as is the case with their songs, they need to show a different side - I WANT to see a different side of 17. My expectations may come off as too high or even unrealistic, but it irks me to no end, when great potential is left unpolished or wasted. In my opinion,17 are not to be compared to your usual manufactured mass project the big companies release every once in two years - they are not to be compared to other idols because they exceed them in so many ways and on so many levels, which is also the reason why i EXPECT so much more from them. To lighten up this post I want to add something strictly positive, something 17 does better than any other group in recent years - they share a bond 99 percent of other idolgroups out there lack. The reason they are gaining fans so fast is because people can actually see that, and it are attracted to their dynamics. Stealing their fans left and right will eventually leave other groups with no other option but to leave their representative labels, join JYP and hope for the best possible outcome.

I was speaking generaly, not about this comeback specifically. It is simply my impression that 17 have been playing it safe lately, which is why the MMA performance was such a nice surprise. I hope - HOPE - that they will bring something special, and that little extra to this comeback, and they will have to if they want to keep that monomentum. Another "Pretty u" or even "Aju Nice" simply won`t do. You need to add on to that in every way possible. Bts may have changed a great deal from when they first debuted, but, in my opinipion, there has always been that tangable energy with them. The reason I bring them up so much is because, in a lot of ways, 17 remind me of bts in a lot of ways. They share that same drive, potential, uniqueness and passion. Right now is a critical time, because now, that they have finally come to some success they can`t back down from what originally made them stand out so much in the first place. Being on top is one thing, but staying there, and fighting your spot, now that`s the true test. There is only so many "Aju nice" and "Mansae" you can repeat, until it gets old, and 17 is at that critical stage right now, they have to show that they are capable of showing another side and yet still keep some of that early colour that made them stand out in the beginning. They had a great start, better than most groups can wish for in a lifetime - and I hope and wish they will be able to continue their path,though their last two releases have me a bit worried. If I can be quite (brutally honest) I don`t think they will be able to truly WOW with this comeback either - they will do good, exceptionally good even, but most of it will be due to increased popularity and already established fanpower. Musically, I believe they are in some sort of experimenting phase, and if that turns out as I think it will, then it is their next album, I will be trully waiting for. (I am a 17 fan these days, believe it or not.)

Was about to post the exact same thing. One of the reasons bts managed to get wheree they are right now is because they do one thing very well, they adapt, add their own flavour and still manage to surprise without loosing any of the energy that made them so big to begin with. Yes, writing and composing your own music is good - but even more important is to write GOOD music. Just look at BEAST, the best example of a group with great potential who never managed to truly take off because they always, ALWAYS played it safe. YOu can`t just follow the trend, at one point or another, YOU GOTTA be that trend. SEVENTEEN is still a very young group, at one year they have accomplished a great deal - but heck, there is way more for them in store. Mansae and Adore U were pretty good to begin with, they made a big impact, their own style and flavour already established with the very first songs - and honestly, with a debut like that, i was expecting their next album to be way more than what it turned out to be eventually, Pretty u was simply too SAFE, too expected, and in a way I am glad it did not take off the way 17 hoped it would. There was nothing new to it, nothing big to set it apprat from the first two, nothing extra to add on it - and while Ajunice did better, it was, again, too safe for my taste. They have to step up their game this time arround. Don`t be afraid to take a risk - they have everything playing in their fav our at this moment, the momementum, the fandom, the starting recognition, skill and hard work.

Just look at SEVENTEEN. People seem so convinced that there is something going on between Scoups and Jeonghan, when Jeonghan is the only (and very obvious) gay one among them. They mistake his attraction to Scoups as a legit "thing" between them.

@keunakeun_boy Nah, there wasn´t an argument, it`s just that from the last few pages, I read a lot of comments stating that Jeonghan is not gay, because he lacks that "gay" mannerism so often found in other certain candidates. Anyways, I´ll call it a night for today. Cold or no cold, I need to rest my eyes. I´ll be back tomorrow though ;T

In a way, I actually feel kinda bad for him though. His affection towards Scoups seems to have grown over the past few months, just from the v apps they posted and the little clips that are emerging here and there, I can tell that he seems much less passive this time arround and even appears to be in the first stages of falling in love.

@Frogurt Not to start any war or something, but, can I be honest for a moment? I think you are wrong in literally every single aspect. Not even are the members you mention not gay, but your observation and the conclusions you draw from them couldn't be more off the spot - to me. And just to make this clear - I say this with the utmost respect.

I do not want to say that there is an ultior motive that drives our every little action, but considering that this particular interaction falls in the category of human interaction, and given Taemins usually timid nature one can assume that a display like this was triggered something, however subconcious. He was simoly sizing the moment, he wanted to have a little fun.
