  1. ^He said that during a radio interview, iirc. During a fansign, Taehyung said something to the effect of Jimin liking men, and Jimin said, "I'm not like that to you, you rascal." But they're basically the same exchange, so yeah.
  2. loooool I've seen that last pic as a video and it's just some random real couple. Fans do this with every ship. It's so annoying. (the Bon Voyage gifs are great though)
  3. Plus the two times Taehyung pointed out that Jimin liked men, Jimin didn't deny it but said, "I'm not like that to you."
  4. king of being bi, king of being verse Edit: and for receipts, I can't copy everything, but you can look through his tag on this blog: https://lgbtkpops.tumblr.com/tagged/jackson
  5. Yeah, his caption for the video with Promise said something like, "Jimin can't escape me either." I think he was just trolling both of them, but it was still cute.
  6. You do you, friend. Though, JK did say he posted two videos for Tae's song because the first got cut off.
  7. Jimin posted a video lipsynching to Tae's song first, so why would it be weird for Jungkook to do it?
  8. JK lip-synched to both Scenery and Promise, didn't he? Also, unrelated, but your sig cracks me up every time.
  9. About Jackson, I don't think it's just a matter of him being open or caring more about personality, etc. From what I've seen, he's shown pretty clearly that he's attracted to men, especially masculine guys.
  10. This is a throwback to classic gunheechul, but I just now noticed Gunhee tagged this picture as #topgay gunheenim: Departure ✈ we have to change hair color otherwise they’ll think we’re gay #topgay #travel #work Heechul’s comment: Quickly change your hair color, apparently it’s your fault that I don’t have a girlfriend Gunhee’s reply: @kimheenim If you think it’s embarassing then stop sticking with me Get out (cr)
  11. Just on-stage shenanigans, but i hadn't seen this before: (X)
  12. You can embed by pasting the link into the reply box between the tweet code, like this: [tweet] link [tweet / ] (take out the spaces around the "/"). You can also add that code by clicking on the Special BB Code button in the top-left corner of the toolbar above the reply box, and select Tweet.
  13. Most people here think all the members of IMFACT are not-het, so idk why it would be unthinkable for BTS (other than that they have 2 more members?). I know so many people who have said that their entire high school friend group has since come out as some kind of LGBT+, even though they all identified as cishet when they met. And since the percentage of not-straight people in the entertainment industry is higher anyway, I don't see why that couldn't happen there. With BTS specifically, the only member I feel confident to speculate an actual label for is Namjoon as bi. For the others, I would say they've all had moments that could indicate not being straight, but how they would actually identify is a mystery to me.
  14. I think most people here would say he's bi. Also, if you look at his receipts, he goes way beyond making supportive statements as allies would. And honestly, this is what I meant with my original post. He has more receipts than anyone in BTS, but it gets dismissed because he doesn't "ping," usually because he's more conventionally masculine, even though he's been the most deliberate with gender non-conformity.
  15. I can honestly only think of one instance of this--that interview where the journalist brought up "Same Love." Have there been others? In any case, I would say Namjoon has still made more clear references to LGBT+ things than Yoongi has (and I do think Yoongi is not het). Also, I get what you mean about Namjoon wanting to be careful of his words because he's the leader, but he's also said and done some incredibly blatant things (I'm pretty sure he had the longest list of receipts in burntgucci's masterpost). I think it's just that he talks so much--and often abstractly--that his wilder statements can get lost.
  16. Namjoon honestly has more receipts for being not-het than anyone in BTS. I feel like people dismiss them either because he's more conventionally masculine, or because it's clear he likes girls and people forget about bisexuality.
  17. ^I feel that, definitely. Also, just for fun and because I hadn't seen it before: (x)
  18. Well, Holland said he told his prospective company that he wanted to come out, and they said absolutely not. And I agree that it's nasty cycle, but again, the reason they don't want to piss off fans is because they don't want it to hurt their profits. It's the same with hiding heterosexual dating among idols. The companies consider their approach more profitable, and they don't want to risk their bottom line by changing.
  19. I don't think anyone here is dismissing gay subtext in their actual music as "just fanservice for profit." This whole conversation started because of a Hyundai ad, directed by Hyundai, for the purpose of selling cars. Personally, I don't think there was anything wrong with the ad, just like I didn't think there was anything wrong with the vmin Puma ad. But it was made to sell a product and make money, as all ads are. Also, I don't think anyone here is criticizing actual gay/bi idols for not being out in SK, or even for taking advantage of fanservice culture. The problem is the companies who push it for attention while at the same time forbidding any idol from actually coming out. And they absolutely could choose to support idols who want to come out. It's not illegal. They just prioritize profit.
  20. Well, with any marketing strategy, you know it's not going to work with everyone. Some people are going to like it, and some aren't. I guess companies figure that gay baiting/encouraging shippers is profitable enough that they don't mind turning off the extreme homophobes. My point was just that many shippers have this idea that the company is trying to subtly communicate with them to confirm the ship's realness, and I've never understood that logic. Companies want to keep shippers interested, but they don't want fans to find out about real relationships--even heterosexual ones, for the most part. It's like all the TV shows and movies that have heavy "bromance" storylines but never confirm it as actually romantic. They want all the clicks and views with none of the controversy.
  21. I agree, but companies encouraging shipping is different from hinting at a real relationship.
