UNIVERSE is a good song, I enjoy it... although it doesn't live up to my expectations of the teaser.

 

And while I'm surprised by Shuuka's voice.. honestly I think the song would of suited as a full E-girls song tbh. But that's just me. But I enjoy it, and I'm sure I'll be hooked on it soon enough!

Shuuka going to be a vocalist in the unit? I'd hope this means her being pushed as a vocalist in Flower too, but we'll see!

 

So so so so happy that Happiness are finally releasing their second album! Hopefully it's not filled with all the songs they've released since their first... only the singles at the most please! I want new songs!

I'm glad that E-girls release both types. They work both so well, but I do think sticking to releasing the cooler songs like Dance Dance Dance and Pink Champagne as promotional songs like Dance With Me Now/RYDEEN were, opposed to as singles would be best. Purely on a success point of view, they do better mostly with the cuter or brighter songs. But I applaud LDH for not sticking to what seems to be Japan's go to styles with the girls at times and taking somewhat risks with singles.

I'm so obviously Ruri biased but I can't help but be so happy with the amount of lines she got this single! This style definitely suits her vocally, so I'm glad they've gone with something like this.

 

I'm bummed Universe isn't included on the single but I just hope it does mean they're saving it to be the RYDEEN/Move It/Dance With Me Now. Or a single, but I doubt this option tbh.

 

Overall Pink Champagne is definitely possibly my favourite official single of theirs in a while!

Can't find lyrics yet but here is what I think is the line distribution. I definitely think they're doubling up almost all the time but I've kept who I'm pretty sure is singing (Probs wrong in some places haha!). It's a shame Erie isn't a vocalist because you can tell she'd be in the harmonizing group with Ruri, Aya and Shizuka.

I don't like how people have taken my "anyone else is bonus" comment out of context.

 

What I mean is I am happy that OT4 is debuting, but I'll be HAPPIER if any other girls, such as Jinny, are added. I have no qualms with more girls in the group because they haven't debuted yet - I can't be mad at girls being included in their debut.

 

No other girls are just "extra" or anything, so don't be dicks and take what I said to mean that. I love Jinny, but I've accepted that she may not be apart of the line-up as we've had many signs pointing to the fact (just as we've had signs pointing to her remaining or coming back into the trainee group), and I'm certainly not going to argue with other fans over it when in a weeks time, it's possible we'll have our answer.

 

I just hope if she is included we don't have fans saying "I TOLD YOU SO" and fighting because she's included just as much as I don't want this whole topic to go rioting if she isn't included. We should be celebrating this group finally debuting after so many years, not fighting. It'd be sad that Jinny doesn't debut with this group, but at the end of the day we can't change what YG decides.

At this point I'm happy. Whether there is more girls or not, I'm just happy that these four definitely made it after years of training. Anyone else added will be a bonus in my eyes.

So it seems like all the vocalists are included this time including Yuzuna? I'm glad if so, I'm much happier when all the vocalists are included!

I know she's probably not here but whatever happened to the pre-school girls that were on some AS songs, iirc one of them was Lime?

 

The two Pre-School Girls that featured on their singles were Yoonjo and Kyungmin - Yoonjo was obviously a member of Hello Venus then back to being a trainee then left. Kyungmin actually changed her name and debuted in FLASHE but no one even noticed which is why for a while, people thought she was still a trainee.

 

Basically as it stands, these 10 girls are the only known current female trainees Pledis has (although I'm sure there are more hidden ones, probably newer/younger girls that are still in early process)

I come out of the woodwork only to find Pansy Jung's name still being thrown around?

 

Ofc. I'm excited for OT4's debut! Not fussed about Hanna not being included, we've known for literally years she won't, so I'm not upset. I do still hope Jinny has a shot though, kind of want at least 6 girls but I'll be happy as long as OT4 debut I guess!

I wonder what stopped Pledis from having the other three girls partake in Produce 101... did Mnet not allow more trainees from Pledis? Did they not think they were ready/good enough? Too young? Wanted to keep some of them back?

Seems that Shannon Bae and what appears to be the two trainees that were dancing in the My Copycat MV but didn't appear elsewhere were there too (thanks to OurPledisGirls on Twitter for seeing it). Seems all of them may well all still be trainees!

Kyungwon should of been allowed to keep her long hair. Her look in the BANG! Performance is godly!

 

I also hope Yebin grows her hair again... the short do never really did it for me, and I honestly think if she had her long hair during Produce 101, she'd of probably made the Top 11 imo (Korea is shallow like that).

The other girls are Minkang,Hyeyoung and Kyumin and they've been in the company since a while but it doesn't look like they're still in. I think Pledis is only going to debut the known ones tho

 

Minkang was never a trainee, she won the Pledis contest alongside Son Juyeon (now known as Eunseo and debuted with Cosmic Girls), but neither actually became actual trainees, they just got the training experience, I believe. I don't think it was ever confirmed if Hyeyoung was a trainee though, although she might of been. Kyungmin obviously we all know about.

 

There was four trainees in the My Copycat MV that weren't in Produce 101: Shannon Bae, who's trainee status is unknown, Soori(?) who is an ex-trainee and two others who were in the MV as backup dancers but didn't appear elsewhere and we've not seen since. I'd suspect Pledis does have more trainees than just the Produce 101 girls, but some of them might just be very young and weren't ready to go on Produce 101 (plus, I'm sure Mnet wouldn't of wanted even more Pledis trainees), but could still debut in what could be Pledis Girlz future group. Although there is somewhat of a balance.
