  1. News about eliminated members belong to the PD48 thread.... and the cess pool on the mean thread will clear up over time as the anti's move onto other things to moan about.... I for one will be on the main thread and update stuff on it as i do for PD101 S1... So feel free to post on the main thread if you have news on the eliminated trainees... For my part, I seldom visit the IOI thread after they went their separate ways... it was a short but exciting ride, personally, I believe IZ*ONE will be huge if they get the right songs and get promoted correctly...
  2. Yeah... I hear you... but like with with most things, it's all about whether the show resonates with one or not, S2 for instance wasn't for me, not for any particular reasons save for that it didn't really resonate with me like S1 and now PD48... Having said that, I do remain skeptical when people write, 'That's it', 'One's Enough' etc.... because if you're into K-Pop, these shows do suck you in somehow if it has some resonance... Simply saying... peace!
  3. Came across this... For Chaeyeon fans.... her PD48 journey to IZONE... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECyDB8tazJs
  4. Perhaps, but I see Jeon Soyeon will be the one that goes Solo at some point with the full efforts of Cube behind her... but that's just my opinion...
  5. Perhaps, but having said that it was likely not her choice, and I suspect she would be forever overshadowed by yoojung and doyeon if she had stayed... Her exposure on MixNine did heaps for her... a pity she was available for Produce 48, she would have cleaned up imo... But with Park Soyeon and Soomin leaving Fave Ent, and with Somi also now an independent... hm... and with Somi and Soyeon being great friends during S1.... i wonder.... 6. oops... let me know where your work resides and I'll visit there instead.... pity there is no sub-titles to what the girls are saying... perhaps we'll have an auto-speech translate at some point... But great work! Much appreciated....
  7. I usually use this... here are the reactions but without the show in the background.... they usually post it (with the show included a few days after....)
  8. Seriously, folks need to chill on the eternal speculation that the votes were rigged and the Japanese girls never had a chance.... But what I will say is that the odds were never in the favour of the Japanese girls unless they could create the necessary resonance required to convince the S Korean National producers that they were deserving... I suspect that if the did the same show in Japan that the final line-up would be very much different to the IZONE group we have today. As I posted earlier in the thread, call it whatever you will, but this group is made of girls that had the greatest amount of resonance amongst voters and the final 1-vote count attests to the individual fandoms each of them have... I also agree that the live voting worth 7 votes was also another big factor in who got into the final line up but it is what it is... this is no different to prior seasons of the produce series... Sakura, Hitomi and Nako did manage to find that resonance, hence them making the final line-up... I think that there is a lot of comments that IZONE will not be successful as IOI or Wanna One, perhaps so... the thing is that we are trying to compare apples and oranges but we use the yardstick of music sales, fandom sizes as a basis of measurement, and that is fine... what I will note is that IZONE will likely be very different creature, and if the group gets the necessary songs behind it, it could be huge... I think that we are discounting the fact that perhaps for the very first time, we now have a KPop group with instantly recognisable J-Idols and with the AKB/HKT network behind them, IZONE will have legs there... I had some time on my hands and create a comparative chart between the final votes between PD101 S1 vs PD48 and it makes for some interesting observations. - the vote tally's were pretty close between the 2 seasons although the split between the evening living voting and the online votes are unknown... - we can read and make the numbers for any argument one wishes to make but what is most apparent is that the IZONE group is perhaps more well rounded in terms of fandom sizes then IOI.... and that is likely a few reasons for this... SOMI had Sixteen and JYP behind here, Sejong had the talent and her helping Sohye in the early episodes built a solid foundation that helped continue the growth of her fandom.... etc... IOI had 3.5 m of total votes (ave 322 k per girl) IZONE girls had 3.2 m of total votes (ave 267 k per girl) Anyhow, enjoy the chart and do provide comments as to what you can discern from the numbers....
  9. It's official, Lee Soomin and Park Soyeon have left Fave Entertainment... Soomin's injuries back in Dec during Mixnine looks to be even more serious then initially thought...
  10. yes a pity, hence my comment that it's always good to get that early exposure... and get that story line started... in looking at the final numbers, clearly the 1-vote and especially the final evening live votes impacted the AKB48 girls who were previously ranked highly in episode 10...
  11. okay, here are the final stats... congrats to the final line-up of girls... they are going to do just great imo.... Closing thoughts: My heart goes out to all the girls that didn't make the final line-up and there were a lot there were equally deserving... I hope they will move forward and continue with the dreams.... I take solace from the fact that Jeon Soyeon who didn't make the final line-up is perhaps the most successful S1 trainee in terms of debuting and winning shows with 2 separate songs... I also think that despite all the saltiness that will come from views of talent, youth, vocals and the list will go on... I can only hope that the various fandoms come together and stan IZONE like we did with IOI.... and I recall, everyone hated the name IOI when we got to hear about it... but it grew on one.... From my side, I think that EunBi and ChaeYeon will provide the solid base for the group, Nako, Hitomi and Sakura will provide further support because of them all, these 3 have the most on-stage show experience through HKT/AKB 48, the beagles of the group are definitely going to WongYoung and Yujin closely followed by Yena and Juri... And the whole group will pull together to support Minjoo and Hyewon, not dissimilar to IOI fully supporting Sohye... The final line-up was up in the air until the final hour and that made for great TV imo... So on that note... here's to IZONE... to LAN episodes, so looking forward to their debut song and activities in both Korea and Japan... Despite what some have said during the show chat when it was live-streaming, I think they will do great in Japan... So on that note, hang on for the ride, and with a 2.5 year period of activities, I'm signed on... IOI was too brief imo.... Cheers! So D... are you going to create a separate thread? I can't seem to use the OH search function... edit: As I mentioned early in the thread... it's so important to get recognised early on... 6/12 made the final line-up from E3, 9/12 in E8....
  12. TY, will be corrected once MNet includes the final vote counts from yesterday's finals and I post the final results of all the rankings...
  13. And it's over and I suspect a lot of salty comments past, present and still to come.... For me, I'm fine with the line-up... some of my stans didn't make it... but the one's I wanted did... Anyhow... I think IZOne will do just fine.... Thanks for the sharing the ride folks.... So D, are we going to have an IZOne thread sometime?
