  1. Another 30 more pages to read... LOL, imagine if Kim Nayoung had chosen RAP.... We could have had a Jelphi sweep... MNet never get's justice... Somi got a lot of screen time this episode and from what I saw, she was fun, vibrant and energetic... the preview cut of Soyeon separating Somi from something was left out of the episode... unless I blinked and missed it... LOL... I enjoyed it... Live audience, online votes, each to their own... you may not agree but it is what it is... I think live audience brings a lot of benefit... realistically, when & how many of the 101 trainees will ever be able to perform in front of such a large crowd ever again... live audience adds an even bigger dimension to things, idols must have ability to instantly resonate and pull audiences over to them... just saying LOL, I got a many, many, many pages for suggesting that Mina was sexier for having lost weight as long as she remained her usual self, cute.... Her dance here brings out an entirely new dimension... her outfit was spot on and really accentuated her dance movements... I loved it... Hm... smaller groups, maybe, but we saw how that turned out for Cathy... it's never a sure thing... Likely the same amount as Redline... none... Yes, you can see with every success that Sohye achieves, she is feeling the stress of it... Her rationale for choosing dance was spot on... she doesn't know when she is going to 'fall' and asking the rhetorical question 'trying a lot of new things is better, isn't it?'. You can see that she broke down in tears when she won, not so much that she won but that she felt sad because it took away from Pinky and Chaeyeon. The Pinky / Sohye moment when Pinky was helping her in the dance positions had a similar feel to that Sejeong / Sohye cut, not as warm perhaps, but then it's likely those were the best shots... LOL, I wa watching the rerun and then remembered that I didn't vote... Results of the 36-61 eliminations announced next week... 2nd likely an introduction to the upcoming performances and new producers...
  2. Came across this youtube video today... Comes in 2 parts, this is the first part... covers the 1st half of the group battles and quickly identifies each performer by ranking... I found it useful to stroll down memory lane... enjoy... Cheers
  3. Hm... As you can see, audience were queuing since the morning... definite hard core fans of the show and/or trainees... having said that, I think that most of the audience will vote for the ones that best resonates with them... did you see this time that MNet handed out voting remotes rather then asking them to vote on their phones... Hopefully RonnieTP will do the analysis to see how many voted for each performance... but based on the group battles, audience voting for each performance will be between 600-750 people... meaning that Sira, Yuenjung and Sejeong took the lion's share of the votes which is natural based on their performance... Who got the better parts, more parts, screen time etc... this is not a democracy, it comes down to group dynamics and what works best for the group... How that is reached is the challenge for each team... My Best performance in my opinion came together very well, hats off to them... I do think however that Sejeong imo was slightly ahead on points because of the nature of the song and the emotion she put into it... but then its just an opinion. Just watched the entire subbed episode... the subs filled in a lot of missing pieces, so it provided better context... Siyeon, Yuenjung flare-ups to me were storms in a tea-cup, it makes for good side stories, and it should be taken that way... the way you deal with it is through experience and maturity... are we better or were we any better dealing with this stuff when we were at that age... I saw a comment about Sejeong sounding false, being nice and always saying the right things... perhaps... but she like most trainees have not had an easy time... you mature quickly when you go through the crucible of life, you either learn or you don't, to survive you need to be true to yourself, and I think that Sejeong best exemplifies and it comes across imo... Seriously, which plays better... a me first or a humble attitude... Okay, rant over.. Just saying...
  4. Okay, caught up, simply a thought or 2... Ep 6 subs are out... Cheering.... Ep 7 airs in 14 hours or so... Cheering... Voting for next round of eliminations ends tomorrow... Silence...
  5. Mostly it's a 'is the glass half empty or half full kind of thing' argument... What is acceptable to you may not be to others... LOL, it's called diversity of opinion and something we have too much of sometimes.... Prime time viewing largely devoted to KDrama's I believe or family friendly viewing programs... Not sure that MNet was expecting this program to be getting the traction it seems to be getting... 11 pm is just a different viewing window aimed at their target market audience...
  6. No really, MNet just wants the best sound bites or stories that the think can get traction, hype and views... How different is that to News & Entertainment reporters... But then this is just my take on things... Yes
  7. Expect more to come as the pressure is taken up another notch what with the final elimination coming up shortly... My pity goes out to Chanmi (high probability) and all the other girls that don't make it... It's not that they weren't good enough, but they weren't able to resonate enough in the time they had... Girls, Fighting!
  8. So true... those group trainees with fandoms... it will all come down to organisation... It's a matter of getting out the vote to the right places... So Fandoms of Pledis, Fantagio, Jellyfish... Fighting... Somi is virtually a shoe in, and perhaps Sohye, as their fandom only needs to support one person... As we have seen, anything could happen.... After all, Donald Trump could be the next president of the United States...
  9. LOL, not really, it's just because people have too much time, don't sleep or don't have anything better to do... I was here around about 6 hours ago refreshing every few mins... the thread, twitter, tumblr... no posts... then went to bed... sigh, really am spending too much time... but then what would one do... watch KDrama! Caino, you still get my upvote!
  10. LOL... just how do you determine Somi's trending when she reaches 100%...
  11. Anyone interested in the Soundtracks for the Group Battles and Vocal/Dance/Rap performances... Credits to Team Produce 101 Twitter... Do forgive me in advance for putting the links to the sound tracks here... Let me know if I'm not suppose to and I will delete the links... but they did say it was a gift... so thank-you...
  12. English Sub-Titled if you're interested... 1. : http://youtu.be/lamo6GE5R60 - Hosted by Lee Suhyun 2. : http://youtu.be/v798cSOQ_bc - Hosted by Kang Mina Credits: Team Produce 101 Twitter Sub : Sejeongdays team
  13. A good way as any... LOL, imagine voting period was 10 days and your bias lost by 4 votes...
  14. 1 ID 11 votes for this round of eliminations (36-61), closes 5th March Voting resets and changes, 1 vote per ID, voting reopens March 11th I believe...
  15. LOL, hence my apologies in advance for being obtuse... support voting is the only thing we can track daily, basically great for trending, they will become even more relevant when voting resets as the basis will be the same, 1 vote per day per account... only thing being that votes for trainee support vs trainee ranking may differ, I will support my bias for ranking but I may support another trainee for them to get a prize... in any case, it's likely minor in the bigger scheme of things, but it is still a fudge factor... I am sure that MNet have thought it out and will throw out another twist somewhere... 1,000 votes for the winner of group battles, 100,000 votes for the category winners... so wait for the mentor prize surprise...
  16. Nope... last day of voting for the 2nd round is March 5th, as I suggested, elimination shooting and team selection will be held a few days after for episode 8, after that, teams will meet to practice.. so about a week if that... as I said, time scrunch, its make or break for the trainees and they will be push to the limit... there is less then a month to debut for 11 of them... and we don't know which 11 as the 35-12 trainees have not been eliminated... Trainees Fighting...
  17. This thread will linger on albeit that our interests will move elsewhere... thread will have a common purpose, namely the 101 Produce Trainees, assuming that people continue to post... I think most of will agree, there are a lot of trainees that we'd like to see make it but won't... they've became known to us through this program and we will be interested to follow them as they move onwards from produce 101... Likely what we'll do, is we'll visit this thread now and then to share and be surprised... It's like hearing the latest school gossip so to speak... We don't go out actively to look for it but we will go to the local watering hole to catch up...
  18. Hm... not sure if people are getting confused again between Trainee Support and Trainee Rankings... apologies if I am being obtuse again... Trainee support (one vote per day per account, from day 1 of Produce 101 program to-date), basically a vehicle to generate fan support for their bias so as for their bias to receive gifts at certain support levels... Trainee ranking (previously 11 votes per day per account in the first 2 elimination rounds, now changed to 1 vote per account per day in the new reset)... this ranking determines who moves on and final rankings of who will debut in the Produce 101 girl team... The 2 are mutually exclusive insofar as they are for different things, however they are somewhat related as they can serve as trend indicators for the trainee rankings...
  19. LOL, not so much as falling but more about other trainees gaining support... after all you can only vote once a day I believe... I don't do it regularly, I have only voted once... yeeks
  20. Pros and cons.... would be nice to be able to back track through history... You just have to read through this thread from the beginning to see how viewer perceptions have changed since it was first started... there were so many comments about what's the point & the show being a big FAIL... At the end of the day, it's all about programming and if it resonates with the public, it will generate hype... frankly speaking, MNet have done well with producing the program despite the 'Evil editing', unfair voting system and vested interest accusations... It's tight, it has a story line, captivating stories of the trainees themselves and so on... You just have to look at this thread to see how much hype its generated in the 'English-reading' fandom...
  21. Captcha.... My sympathies to those with multi-accounts... Rotating your votes, pros and cons I suppose... This is how I see it playing out, winners are going to be a function of the following post change: - size of fandom and how consistently they are going to vote their bias - ad hoc votes due to voting rotation, 'flavour of the day' votes due to performance, fandom comments etc... No-brainier, but it had to be said... Certain trainees had huge fandom so coming in, some of them still do... Some of them have less now as fans have gravitated to others, not that are still not fans of them, but because they are bigger fans of trainees that they didn't know about or hear about much... Sejeong and Yoojung are cases in point... Like politics101... Winners are going to be determined by how well their fandom base turns out to vote for them... The ad hoc ones are just going to gravy... So get out there and vote.... LoL Going back to lurking mode.... RL and all that stuff... Sigh, I really should spend less time here... Watching Kdrama is so much easier... But hey, it's fun...
  22. http://teampd101.tumblr.com Has the list of fan cams by team, by trainees... I think it's been uploaded...
  23. LOL, perhaps an American Girl Group..... Hm.... Nah, too much trouble.... If girls are from US, JYP would likely get sued each and every day by the girls, the parents, the fans...
  24. Another 4 pages to read... For those that have multiple accounts, for those that have 10 or more... For those that have 20+.... Simply observing.... You have too much time on your hands... MNet loves you... They've got you viewing and spending every day, dare I say it, every moment in RL talking about the trainees & the program... With all their experience, I am sure they know how to handle multi-account voting... Me, I only have one account.... but heck, I spend too much time here... Go figure...
  25. Agreed... Going to be tough... Do you vote consistently for your most favourite bias or do you rotate... to be or not to be, that is the question... go with gut-feel I say....
