My backtracking mission is almost finished. They just got their first #1 win for RUN (pg 2833). I started reading this thread around pg 3550, so I'm on the home stretch. I think it isn't taking me very long because I read crazy fast, and I have no thirst for these boys (I'm too old for that). So I just look at the cute pictures for a second and move on. xD

Welcome! I also decided to read the entire thread, starting about a month ago. I'm currently up to a few days before the release of HYYH Pt. 2 (pg 2647). I'm very glad I decided to backtrack, because there was a lot of stuff I didn't know about apparently. This picture makes me laugh, because our maknae is still sitting on people's laps, and it reminds me of a large dog who just doesn't realize they're too big for that anymore. Poor Jimin looks so small under him. xD There we go. They figured it out. EDIT: oops, I topped. Here, have a BTS x Kingsman pic in celebration of the fact that I finally bought Kingsman on Blu-ray and will be watching it today.

Since I did a full backtrack of this entire thread, I saw all the speculation surrounding every detail since it was discovered that Jimin had the album name on his body at MAMA 2014. Now, since I knew full well reading it over a year later that he also had the intro track to Pt 2 on his body at the same time, it impressed upon me how far in advance Big Hit plans this stuff out. So, when the prologue was released and everyone started speculating about what 'OMN' could mean, I already knew there wasn't anything like that on Pt 2. However, now we're seeing it pop up in recent photoshoots. I guess my point is that I now assume it could mean anything within the next year, not necessarily the next thing they put out. I don't even care what they release at this point. As long as it's good music that they love, I'm happy. It is funny to watch the ARMY detectives at work though. EDIT: So if OMN is a brand thing, is that what they were wearing in the Chicago photoshoot? That seems like a massive coincidence otherwise...

I doubt that was a deliberate reference to Baepsae. 'Show Me Your BBA SAE' is the actual title of the song they were dancing to by DJ HANMIN. I think we're just so freaking ready for anything Baepsae at this point, we see it everywhere. xD

Y'all complaining about how short you are. At 6'0" I'm taller than ALL of them. Most guys don't like that.

Man, I had serious doubts when I heard Suga's hair was silver, but he is just rocking it. To be honest, I doubt a color exists that he won't make look awesome. When people make fun of anime characters for having stupid hair colors, I just remember Suga and smile.

So I realized that I've watched far too many RUN JPN reactions. I was out running errands when RUN came on my playlist. I unconsciously started to sing in Japanese, and was slapped in the face with Korean. I laughed at myself. Also, Baepsae makes me drive at least 10 mph faster than the speed limit. I'll look down at my speedometer like "god damn it, this song is going to get me a speeding ticket!" There was a Vine from Monsters University with the mom in the minivan "listening to her tunes" and blasting BTS. That is literally me, in my nondescript silver Honda minivan. My son doesn't care. When it's his turn to pick the music, it's usually full-length Super Sentai theme songs that we've both memorized forever ago, so we sing along in Japanese. xD

Nah, I agree. They sound great, but the production on this song was distracting and kind of annoying. Not sure if it was the drums or what. It was also missing something, which I again can't quite put my finger on. However, vocal line just keeps showing improvement and that always makes my day. <3

It was especially funny seeing that DVD of them in Kota Kinabalu. When Jungkook got out of the pool to advance on Tae, he was practically hulking in comparison. Bleh, just let them be adults already. xD

I just realized I forgot to answer that questionnaire: How/When did they become your bias? I don't listen to Kpop, so I cannot for the life of me remember how I stumbled through YouTube that day around Christmas 2015, but I came across their Dope video. That prompted me to look them up further, where I discovered a veritable ocean of content that I proceeded to drown in for the next few weeks. What are your top BTS ships? If you don't ship who do you like seeing together the most? I don't ship them romantically, but I love their dynamics, so I'll go with OT7. As a side note, I love to see Suga interact with any of them, possibly because his personality is eerily similar to my own. What activities do you want to see them pursue in the future? Individually? As a group? Seriously just anything that will make them happy and feel fulfilled. I'm not picky. Which eras did they rock the most, collectively? I love the Dope and RUN eras, but I also have a soft spot for Danger. What's your favorite songs/album? This is hard for me to answer. I have all of their albums on a giant playlist that I just stick on shuffle. A few stand outs to me though: Let Me Know, 24/7=heaven, Baepsae, Hold Me Tight, and Spinebreaker. One thing I can say, HYYH pt 1 and 2 both show their tremendous musical growth. What's your least favorite song/album? I don't skip any of their songs, so I can't really answer this. What's your favorite verse in a BTS track? From anyone. "I don't know you and you don't know me, so please shut up" (Jungkook, We On) <--- simple, but sums up how I live my life. If you could wish one thing for BTS in the future, what would it be? Joy. If you could recommend one artist for them to listen to, who would it be? I mostly listen to heavy metal/hard rock, so my recommendations wouldn't really gel with their sound. On a scale of 1-10 how thirsty are you for everyone? 1 - I have a teenage son, so my feelings for them are pretty much maternal (except very rarely Jimin. That guy should come with a warning label.)

I have to say I do get annoyed when I still see people call Jungkook a fetus (unironically). I mean yes, I'm 20 years older than he is, but I still recognize that he's matured into an adult. I also can't wait for him to do something that solidifies that for the fandom. It's almost comical how much they've had to do things to try and hide how much Jungkook has physically matured, from his hairstyles to clothing, all the way up to forbidding him from working out too much. Now that he's considered an adult, I hope he just busts through all that shit.

Weird question, but I've yet to see anyone comment on it. When I see people talking about watching the No More Dream and We Are Bulletproof Pt 2 MVs, they always comment about how it's not okay for them to look at Kookie since he's 15 in them. Yet no one seems to bat an eye at drooling over V or Jimin, who were both still 17 at the time, right? They weren't legal internationally OR in Korean age, I mean. I just find it to be an odd disconnect.

This is my son every time he calls me over to watch him play something he's good at. I told him I must be a video game bad luck charm.

So I woke up to new stuff, yay! I loved the RUN MV, as I usually do with their Japanese releases. All the callbacks to the Korean MV were well done. I also actually like the song in Japanese, which is rare for me. It was far less awkward than usual. That SKT CF... I was smiling like an idiot through the whole thing. Watching Jungkook's face was so funny. Like he was trying to be all badass with his stank face and I'm just sitting here like, "son, we all know you're fluffy and adorable..." xD
